I am *loving* what I am seeing with the new living world. That Charr celebration is insane and I'm looking forward to read the magazine.

However moving forward, I think game *NEEDS* an expansion.

The problem is, would people be happy with small updates for a couple odd years while it's worked on and be totally understanding?

Absolutely not.

But nonetheless at least they *know* an expansion will be welcomed. I guess that's at least something.

I have a few examples when I could argued that being 'toxic' is a two way street, and what I could see as 'offensive' other people would shrug at. Now, I think i have gone too far with my above comments, I won't go into detail.

Offensive is a bit of a strong word, I might add. It wouldn't be that. Uncomfortable maybe.

mm if it's a case of you can just jump in regardless of what class I happen to be on then fine. IF i need to make a group and get kicked because I can't be bothered to get my healer then meh.

I dunno about no great leader, you got center stage in the cut scenes if you were the group leader for a mission. hench were there to help bulk out the party.

I personally would of loved a guildwars one book in a novel form. When I was playing that, I know a few even wanted a film. Never will get a film of course but i think the first game at least would have enough lore to fill a few books.

Aren't they just friendly now? I think cantha's lore was changed *shrugs* and man I'm not a happy oni.

I read on twitter someone asked on their interview what Guildwars2 was about and they were told 'dragons' . Yeah It would be nice to escape them for a bit but it wouldn't last.

Who knows maybe Aurene will do a glint and have a few babies and we end up with another 2 or 3?

I have no issues with my beloved game, cantha aside, however how I have been treated on this forum i beg to differ.

Some of you haven't played games like aion I suggest you go google what outfits they did there - I'm be really surprised if some one complained and they decided against it. I mean they have never been there before, right?

The one difference is people who love the game are passionate and feel let down. I am fed up with never getting Cantha- even the trolls who come down on me saying they don't want it. I am passionate about that part of the old game. I don't care. If i had to post every ffking day to get them to change their mind I would.

Then there are the trolls and flamers.

How many are mad because they know Anet can do better and how many are just flaming because they think it's fun to see a game being destroyed, even one they don't play?

Because the issue is, this forum never sees that difference. We are all here to flame.

Here's my five cents.

Whatever was going to be said, there was a group of people waiting to pounce on Anet. You only have to see how many people were spamming/trolling/ came to flame on the counter twitch. Lovely peaceful calm discussions peppered by people who are obviously above us all.

This was going to happen no matter how much you want to hit the 'I'm disappointed' band wagon or were happy.

They get this every time.

I think there was a volcano waiting to go off in this company and by the five this 'lovely' community has made it explode.

August 30th was never about WvW or SPvP.

Putting this here.

People think Mike Z was nervous but to me he looked like it was trying not to cry. I'm not sure if that was frustration, or what but I did feel for him.

I certainly got the idea he didn't want to be there, just as I thought the same when I saw the 7 year stream. In fact I think the soul has been leached out of that studio.

I don't think they will ever get over those layoffs and it really really shows.

Bemused, actually, that a event that promised to show the new living world story, people then made it about new classes, specs, wvw, pvp, abc, etc when they never said they would be discussing that.

If there's one thing I noted is that episode 1 and 2 are in the same maps so kudos guys who don't like exploring you got your wish.

All these PvP/WvW moaning that aren't listened too, how about spare a dime for us that want Cantha and don't even get a mention away from the announcement 7 years ago? Not once have they taken that by the horns and said anything. The lore can be changed, the buildings which was the damned issue can be changed.

You got more chance of getting your precious content then i have.

Yeah i'll buy it. I had the stream set up on the telly and hoped Mike z would say 'cantha somewhere' I was almost begging him to say it. Geez. How sad.

However I'm not going to write a 'i'm done post' when they have said they would say more in the coming months. What's funny is all these quitters never say what content they want other than balance, but think saying the word quit will suddenly get them what they want.

I am quietly going to farm my GS and look forward to the Charr homelands which looks stunning. Only the other day I took my griffin for a ride and screen shot some of the places I got to. This game is beautiful.

I'm only disappointed because I was hoping for them to say season 5 would lead to an expansion, but they aren't going to say everything. Although there was nothing new, I loved the Charrlands in GW:EN so yay for that.

I don't think we will get an expansion now - I think we will get bits every few months instead a 'whole' every 4 odd months to try to address that content dought.

As far as people getting HoT for free - I payed for all of the games from the start- twice- and watched the core go free to play and it didn't worry me. Aion did this after all.

I am too thinking to rent a theatre was a waste and yes a post and trailer would of done., BUT I don't think they are done yet.

Only time will tell.
