You would need to equip your girlfriend/wife or boyfriend/husband with harvesting tools. At a certain point, you can marry the NPC.

    Hhahahaha romance.

They used to have a simple love / forcity/ charming option back then with little to no impact.

I'd rather they just add an ingame marriage system like many other MMO , and people can join the hosts' wedding.

    It'd spice up some activities.

Well, you do have the point.

One thing Anet can do is make Aquatic weapons become land weapon on some of the Espec. (With totally new skill set ofc)

I always love spear theme weapon, why's it water exclusive?

Just make it a land weapon already for some espec. It'd be super awesome and probably easier to implant.

This has been becoming important to me as I see some of the things people are asking for being racist ethnic stereotypes... ArenaNet has usually managed to avoid that, but it's still a concern as the dev team has been in flux a lot over the years and I get worried each time the reigns of control get passed around that somebody with a D&D past might creep in...

At this point, chance of getting a new race is next to impossible and not really practical in business prospective too.

There's just way too many armours/ back item/ weapons they need to deal with if they add in completely new model character.

Idrc what game-changing system they'd add this time, I just want something new and big to spice up my love for GW2 again, and hope it doesn't take exactly one year, but instead half a year.

But with global pandemic and the decline in GW2 development team, my hope is kinda slim.

Btw the reason why Anet has trouble adding new weapon in this game is 100% because of cosmetic feature of this game.

There's just way too many weapon skins for each type of weapons , so every new weapon they add, they have to make like 500 more skins.

For 99% of other MMOs , this is not the case because they just release a new weapon type by adding 1~5 new weapon skin, and there's no "theme skins" for all types of weapons like GW2 does. (For example, when they release an iceborne weapon, they have to add it to add 17 weapons)

We could get 10 new weapon skills with the offhand sword and i think that's more than enough for any weapon to cover any bases.

    > >

    >

    > I doubt anet would put that much effort in for rangers to give it 10 new weapon skills depending on the depending on the main hand weapon. We aren’t one of their precious meta classes.

    >

    > Tho, I wouldn’t mind an offhand sword, if mainhand sword was reworked a little to give it more offensive pressure. At the moment is a weak hybrid weapon/mobility weapon, doesn’t really do anything well. It’s autoattacks need to apply bleeds/poison or generate might on every strike, AA2 needs to effect 3 targets and sword 2 needs the roll around target part removed and just evade on the spot giving more reliablity for the poison application.

I much prefer they just hand the hammer to ranger so our bunny thumper dream is complete.

I do agree sword mh and dagger offhand need a rework.

    >

    > The only role a thief is not able to fill realistically is support, so this should be their next elite spec to keep their philosophy of being able to have a build for these different roles on all classes.

    > Ranger wasn't able to support before HOT, they got that fixed with druid.

    > Same for necromancer with scourge.

    > Warrior, engineer and thief should get such support elite specs, too, since they don't have any yet.

    Disagree about Warrior part.

Warrior core always have good support in form of shout/ banners/ empower allies/team might stacking . They even have shout heal build.

Though it may not be practical in raid, it was very good support in fractal back then. (I haven't play fractal for awhile so can't comment on the current state of fractal)

They even got a semi-defensive espec already through spellbreaker.

The only thing Warrior is missing is strong range playstyle cuz rifle is kinda trash.

They'd cry about "where's my high dps/ aoe? Isn't thief all about damage?"

  7. I tried Rifle abit in pve recently and it feels awful to use compare to LB from ranger.

Everything about it is much clunkier now. The dodge is not bad but the backward distance is too short to justify the animation.

3 does less dm too as well, and 1 doesn't has pierce for whatever the reason and do laughable damage.

  8. It is ONLY good in PVE outdoor so it's nothing to brag about and should not be touched.

No-one use it in raid / pvp / wvw because it's just not reliable with little to no utility when merged and dm will never lands.

  9. I'm 90% certain the last specialization would be pet specialize class.

It is the only playstyle ranger has yet to get so far, so it's a no brainer.

I'm actually quite excited about it actually, a specialization to boost pet to furious beast degree.

Maybe allowing 2 pets activate at the same time with some cool new abilities and strong boosts for pet.

As for weapon choice, maybe a hammer just for the GW2 meme. (Bunny thumper)

    > > Btw, why warrior survivability keeps getting nerfed in PVE???

    >

    > Typically PvE gets nerfed because of issues in either WvW or PvP. It's been that way since the beginning of GW2 and is one of the things that frustrates me the most about the game's balancing philosophy.

    >

    > Back to your original question, in my experience warrior can definitely solo champions and spell breaker is the elite that can do it easiest (because of full counter and magebane tether+might makes right). The keys are to land your bursts and full counters, use your CCs, and manage your weapon swaps.

    >

    It's not just WVW anymore..

Now classes get nerf simply because they do too good in raid... (RIP Druid...)

Raid pretty much kill many classes...

(Pre-raid, anet will only nerf class base on pvp/ wvw, so the meta doesn't change. Now they gut classes base on raid, which then kill that class in all game modes)

  12. Power Soulbeast simply misses out good weapon for raw dps...

Warrior's axe surpass ranger's offhand axe and main-hand sword, with better buff , better aoe, and better dm.

    Warrior got much better modifier.

Warrior's dagger easily surpass ranger's dagger.

That's part of the game. It should not change. If everything is made easier, then what remains? It would be boring. This is of course my very personal opinion, not a statement.

    >

    > I see it wrong maybe, but my impression is that there is a global tendency to want that everything goes fast. Unfortunately, this is not compatible with a game like GW2, where the "time" factor is an important contributor, almost at same level than the two other contributors: money and efforts.

    > Certain items are meant to be earnt over time. If it is possible to buy them, they are very expensive because rare and hard to get. This is logic: The buyer is paying a high price to compensate for the fact that he spares the effort/time required. Such items are not meant to be reasonable, per definition of what they are. Well, that's how I see it. :3

Well, the problem being ALL legendaries/ most shiny particle effects use around 250~500 of Mystic Coins.

Mystic Coin is single handedly the item that bloated the price of all the legendaries because Anet gated them with daily.

Legendary cost ranges from 1000g~2000g, and among that 1000~2000g, Mystic Coin alone worth 600+g, which is insane.

  14. > @"TexZero.7910" said:

    > This is a bad idea, with a bad poll that is so blatantly biased that it's almost laughable....almost.

    >

    > Mystic coins are what keeps items valuable and they do so by having a limited but sustained influx into the market.

Maybe they shouldn't THAT valuable in the first place and make every legendary price more reasonable.

Mystic Coin used to be 10~20s yknow.

Since the demand of mystic coin is so high, I don't think it's fair to make them so limited in the way they obtained.

    It really should be cheaper.

  15. > @"Jwake.7013" said:

    > Also the AT spvp rewards for daily and monthly gives some mystic coins as well. Mostly I'd say if your in need, either do events that give them (like the ones suggested) or farm for gold and just buy them. No real need to increase output for them imo. Also they are a good source for new players to make some money from log in reward since pretty much everything they're used for is end gaming crafting.

    >

    > Also you say PoF maps area dead, and even off peak NA I find lfg stuff and just people running around / tags all the time. Not sure I can agree with your fundamental reasoning of adding them as rewards would liven up those or any other maps. (This is not to say boosting rewards for certain events in PoF would be a bad thing, I'd be on board, just don't believe adding MC are the way to go about it.)

There're occasionally some bounty train in some maps, but that's about it.

LS4 maps are more alive, but the vanilla PoF maps are pretty dead whenever I visit them.

Meta event are usually left blank cuz there's no incentive doing those.

And yes, increasing the output does affect the market as the whole, not only making it easier to farm, but generally make it cheaper so it's easier to afford too.

It is not just about farming it, it's about price stabilization.

  16. So far there are very few methods to obtain Mystic Coins outside of daily log-in reward.

(Very rarely drop from high level fractals too, but the supply is still too minimal)

Back then, before mystic coin turns into almost exclusive to Daily reward, the price of those are pretty reasonable (Around 25s)

There're so many things in this game that requires big quantity of Mystic Coin, but the supply is locked out by daily log in and fractal.

I think it should be like Amalgamated Gem that comes from HoT meta events, which keep HoT maps well and alive even until this date.

PoF maps, on the other hand, are so dead in comparison because there's no incentive doing those meta events anymore.

Adding Mystic coin as daily reward for doing those meta events would not only address the mystic coin supply issue, it'd also gives new breath of life into those seemingly dead PoF maps. As for Season 4 maps, I'm just thinking it's only fair they include it, but the priority is to put those mystic coin reward into PoF metas.

    > Base power warrior is extremly great, not sure about pvp and wvw, but in PvE its meta in fractals and raids.

    > It brings the banners, Empower allies, good dps + good crowd control if needed.

Yeah, I agree base Warrior is the only class that might not need elite spec to be viable, especially the power variant.

Ranger comes close, but Soulbeast is still pretty darn good for that 10 CD pet revival mechanic.

For other classes, E-spec is pretty much mandatory if you want to stay viable.

  18. Best Solo pve build = power minion Reaper.

Insane cc potential, good dm, good aoe, very tanky, plentiful ai meat shield , 2nd hp bar, insane down state (you can literally leech your life back in no time), pretty much ignores condition, able to solo most Champs (not legendary), and so much more.

Ranger comes as a 2nd with Soulbeast reviving pet instantly with 10 sec CD, but still not even close compare to power minion reaper.

Guardian is a pretty team oriented class, but the mechanic is just not good enough for solo play.

Druid is a healer, not "strong" range class.

Strong range class implies range class that do high range damage..

Druid is a strong SUPPORT class, not a strong RANGE class.

Tempest can barely be counted as range class with its mechanic.

(Plus condi tempest is pretty much melee range dps)
