Im mainly thinking of PvE I should note. Does that make any difference for shield? Or is it still teh suck compared to offhand sword?
-
Ive been playing around with it, and it feels pretty good to have a block on demand with an extra heal. Now that offhand sword doesnt have a block anymore.
Also, im pretty sure that shield 5 used to forceroot you for the -whole- duration. Now you can break it with moving. Though I remain uncertain where Shield 4 should be used if at all.
And I came to wonder, with sword/sword as ive been running usually, it becomes far more difficult to ensure a steady autoattack chain. When you have to hit both both sword 2 and sword 4 on cd. Though im thinking that the loss of damage from Sword 4 may be too much.

Revenants doesnt need the overused greatsword for third elite spec. Dont cater to all the twilight fetishists, give us a more interesting an underused weapon.
-
now thats an unique thought, underwater mounts!? Would definitely make an interesting expansion feature if they manage to make them unique enough to stand out.
Mounts in pof was done far better than imagined, the old world becomes so much easier to navigate with them.

Not terribly entused by them, watched the video on dulfy, does not look good in motion.
-
Renegades have less use for Roiling mists due to their crit passive.. RM would push them way over crit cap.
-
Yep, the damage is way, way too high in low level zones. Imho their ability should be about utility, not damage. Jackal barrier is a great example of a good ability to give a legup on your following attacks.

All you greatsword lovers, answer me this. You calling for GS because you want to play with Twilight?
-
I also refuse to use Discord. Hearing impaired, and I have enough chat programs on my pc to want yet another one.

Not suprised sandswept isles is sinking in activity, as the really big metas is in istan. The tiny sandswept isles metas just cant compare.. Hopefully Anet ups the game in the next ls4 episodes

IF people struggle so badly, they should remember they can bring friends to carry them.

Oh god no, cooking is already a terrible chore of a proffession. This sounds even worser.
-
Chore is a pretty good word to describe cooking.
-
Glad to hear im not the only one with misgivings about cooking.
-
Ive been thinking that cooking foods could use a streamlining. I feel like you have to jump through way, way too many hoops to create a highend dish by having to create oodles of lesser food first to combine together. Not exactly something that encourages casual use like sharpening stones, oils or focusing crystals.
Now, I know the above is just a side consumable from another proffession. But I believe cooking could be optimized if you didnt have to make so many different dishes before you could actually craft the one you -WANT!- Instead, how about working up tiers of ingredients instead, till you have what you need to put together a final tier dish? Essentially reducing several layers from the recipe pyramid, but still keeping it with reasonable effort needed.
So far I feel I just cant justify the use of foods outside super high end fractals or raids. Its just too expensive and convoluted to make unlike the armorcrafting or artificing consumables.

Twilight is a strong offender in making things difficult to see. Especially if multiple players got it.
-
I suspect twilight is to blame for the greatsword fetish. I -completely- agree that we need to see more underused weapons getting their time in the spotlight. Revs rarely works with weapons in the usual way. Look at the hammer for example.

I am glad it became non-invisible, makes it a LOT more useful now! Just buy a frigging invisible bag for protected items!
I have full 20 slot bags beside this 32 slot bag. I see no real need to go bigger. Not managed to fill them yet before doing a round on salvage/selling/tping.

ive tried with lowest and there will often only be nameplates for npcs like at Mistlock sanctuary.
-
Could we please have it so the game always will prioritize nearby friendly npcs over players? I have the character limit set at medium to cope with higher graphics setting in busy areas and zergs, and npcs will frequently disappear in player congested areas, sans their name plates. Id rather see friendly npcs instead of players at busy times in congested places, if im looking for a specific npc service.

This definitely would go a long way to improve the revenant, instead of truly unrealistic rebuilds as seen in the other thread. This actually looks possible. The revenant is so painfully hamstrung by energy costs for both weapons and utilities.
-
The renegade is our 'ritualist' spec. Think about it, we summon the ghosts of a charr warband with different functions, completely alike the ritualist of old.
But id love to see a 'spellcaster' spec delving into the offensive spells of the ritualist. There was several spells id love to see again. such as the bundle spells, and that rising lightning orb. Going to Cantha next would be a perfect fit for it.

Smaller changes is more likely something Anet will pick up on. Such as no root on shield. It is -horrible- and useless for an e-spec. Offhand sword or axe brutally outclasses the shield.
Personally I love sword/sword with the fractal sword skin.
-
A total rework of the proffession is not realistically going to happen.
Is Herald shield considered useless these days?

Ah, thats what I suspected mightve been the case. Hope they improve the shield.
