Xelvas.5784
Does anyone know if there is going to be a build where we can, through our character build, give up some dps for lower cooldown timers? I love this game, but I am getting really frustrated with these long cooldown timers for skills 2-0.
sokeenoppa.5384
You can always play thief as it doesn't have weapon skill CDs.
maddoctor.2738
Which profession do you play? There is a buff/boon called Alacrity in the game which lowers skill cooldowns, you can find a list with all the skills and traits that provide Alacrity here: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Alacrity It's mainly Mesmer/Chronomancer and Revenant/Renegade. Good luck
Xelvas.5784
I think I'm going to start playing my p/p deadeye again.
Kulvar.1239
Revenant sounds like the class for you. You have energy to manage instead of cooldowns. So you can use your abilities on much shorter cooldowns, but only when you have energy left. Alternatively, Thief uses initiative as its weapon skils costs rather than cooldown. Firebrand mantras have quite short cooldowns and ammunitions. Depends if you rather want your attacks or your heal/utilities/elite to be less cooldown based. Then there's the boon Alacrity. If you team with an "Alacrigade" he'll be able to lower your cooldowns (-20% on recharge duration).
Astralporing.1957
Gw2 skill rotations are already way too fast for me. Them being even faster? And at a _loss_ to your dps? Personally, i'd not like that. But if it was strictly optional, i guess it wouldn't hurt me.
Trise.2865
There are plenty of options for "typewriter" play. Have you tried playing: Weaver? Kit Engy? Daredevil? Herald?
kratan.4619
Where's the benefit in that? You do less damage faster?
HnRkLnXqZ.1870
Superior Sigil of Frenzy reduces cooldown of all equipped skills by 2 seconds upon killing an enemy. It has an iternal cooldown of 10 seconds, but will speed up the access to your skills a lot. A sigil-slot is quite valuable and usually used for something to enhance your damage or your stats directly, so this fits to your description. Westenev.5289
Personally, I want a class with high cooldown high impact skills (30-180 seconds), so I don't have to feel guilty about wanting to use my autoattack.
Fueki.4753
Thieves have both lower cooldowns (as long as 0 seconds counts as lower to you) as well as lower base damage.

I would love it if auto attacks were better, too. On the other hand, the balancing issues for power damage alone from increased impact & cooldowns makes my head hurt... I mean, think of the burst potential!
