LukaBre.8621
It would be cool to have a training Golem (like the one in special training forces area) that we can summon on any location in open world (instances excluded). How it would work: * Double click on inventory summons a Golem (or any other object that you can hit in front of you). * Double clicking on the item while the Golem is summoned opens up a menu similar to the one we have on the console : * Boons option * Golem modifications (Defiance bar, conditions etc) * Remove/Deactivate button It would be used by you/your party members or in case it could be used by everyone - set its HP to unlimited so it does not die within seconds. Bashing something while waiting for some events/metas to spawn would be cool and it could potentially help people who want to practice some rotations but are too lazy to go to Aerodrome. This could be a gemstore addition or bought with raiding currency similar to Xera portal maybe?

Teratus.2859
Cool idea though it could be abused like Banners were a while ago. Guess it would have to be limited like the Golem Banker but that would be fine ^^

Orion Templar.4589
I can see people trying to drop something like this on top of chests or other interactable items.
kharmin.7683
Well, until ANet decides to keep that from happening, things will continue to be dropped on interactable items by kitten players.

That could be solved by making it only interactable by the player who spawned it or by only allowing it to be spawned in towns.

Kinda defeats the purpose of the OP's request, though. > @"LukaBre.8621" said: > It would be used by you/your party members or in case it could be used by everyone - set its HP to unlimited so it does not die within seconds. > Bashing something while waiting for some events/metas to spawn would be cool and it could potentially help people who want to practice some rotations but are too lazy to go to Aerodrome. Protecting randoms from them would have to be done though, people do like to troll already with spawning merchants etc on stuff so it's a no brainer that people who could summon big golems everywhere would do it all the time just to be a pain in the rear. Yeah, you know that they would. Absolutely. Which is why ANet really needs to do something to curtail this, but so far they haven't appeared to even acknowledge it. LadyKitty.6120
Anyone else sees a problem with being able to set full boons on yourself outside cities? That alone is a big no-no and the dps results are pretty pointless if you don't have any boons, unless you're testing how much you'd do solo in open-world. hugo.4705
Good idea. For avoiding the issue of spam or trolling, make it client based like ley anomaly hallucination or sab hooograms while using the vr headset: only the player would see it. About boons on the player.. dunno. Holo boons only considered by golem? Or easier, while using the golem, you have a buff forcing you to miss every attack if not golem. The boons are not applied by the golem itself, they're applied by the NPC's nearby.

I guess it could be handled by getting some sort of a buff at the moment you activate a golem. While you have that buff - you can apply the boons to yourself. The buff gets removed when you deactivate a golem OR you hit a mob/get hit by a mob in open world. Also, it could have like 1k range around golem, so if you leave its range - the buff gets removed. And putting a cooldown on golem summon - like 2-3 mins, should prevent people from resumonning it that much.
kharmin.7683
Sounds like a lot of work to duplicate something that already exists elsewhere.
Plok.5873
This sounds like an idea to invigorate guilds halls; let guilds put up their own golem training sites. Or maybe individuals in their home instances.
