Is it viable to build Scrapper hammer with Turret?

Sometimes i enjoy both of my scrapper : hammer + flamethrower support and engineer pistol flamethrower farming. Does it work if i build Power for Hammer + Turret? Assume its all physical dmg without any condition dmg like my old build.

This is why you have build options. Test it. Find out. What else are you going to do with the piles of farm gold?

Well for one, not all turrets are efficient at physical damage (power), flame turret for example is not a good pick there, your better options are rifle and rocket turret. Second : Turrets do not share any stat with the engineer, beside condition damage. So to be honest, only the toolbelt skills will be impacted by that.

I once created the Rocketeer build, which utilizes the Rocket Turret and Motar Kit for ranged camping, with the Hammer as a melee option. It is ok for a few situations, works on Worldbosses and a few meta-events.

 

The other turret that is worth picking is the Thumper Turret, because it grants easy access to blast-finishers for combo fields. But that is just a utility-purpose, not related to damage-output. Healing Turret performs OK, but deals no damage at all. If you are looking for an additional-damage source, grab the Shredder Gyro. Improve your boon uptime (stability, quickness, swiftness, superspeed) , to get most of the damage-multipliers to work. If you want more, you may have to use kits. Grenade Kit preferably, Bomb Kit also works.

Everything is viable if you try hard enough, but is it fun ? No, turrets are a boring gameplay for poor damage.

Yes, Scrapper is good at Power support. So take Power gear with Concentration (Diviner/Harrier/Wanderer, etc.), Hammer, and turrets. Select the trait that makes them give out boons. It even provides a few rare boons to the entire party like Retaliation.

 

Its better DPS support than Gyros, especially in instanced PvE content.

Yea, some Scrappers use Experimental Turrets to pulse boons in PvE content.

 

They are actually pretty effective, imagine playing Herald except yur buffs are individually placed and they can be targetted and killed in exchange for some utility and some damage.

I have found that pretty much anything is viable in open world farming.

Im a hammer scrapper and always have rocket turret slotted for the stun, aoe and its a cracking 'oh shit' there's something chasing me distraction jobbie.

Best thing about Engineers and especially scrapper is the amount of different things you can slot to ease the boredom of farming, flamer, elixir gun, different turrets, sure not Meta but who cares when your just roaming doing quests and stuff?
