Would you like legendary weapon dye channels?

Not unless more than legendary weapons get dye channels.

It's not every part of every weapon has to be dyeable. But some weapons could get 1 channel. Take the crafted fine weapons: Copper, iron, steel, darksteel, mithirl. The metal and wood parts of the corresponding tier would not be dyeable since that would make having all these versions of the same skin pointless, so the the weapon channel would dye the remaining of the weapon. So for a darksteel dagger you'd be able to dye the white hilt with a different color, but the blade would stay black since it's what tells it apart from the other weapons, and with a darkwood staff you'd be able to dye the crystal, but the wood would remain hardwood dark brown.

For ascended weapons, the one dyable part could be the metallic emboss. so the color that matches the glow of an ascended weapon would remain the same, but the metallic edges and emboss decorations like the golden parts in Calcite weapons and the black parts in Citrine weapons would be dyable.

This would allow players change them a bit to match the theme of their gear. So if your theme is

Going to ascended weapons, instead 1 channel, they could get up to 4. So for example:

* Rodgort could have 3 channels.1 for the scaly body, 1 for the fiery head, and 1 for the fiery effects.

* The Dreamer could have 4 colors: 1 for the dark parts of the bow, 1 for the clear parts of the bow and the horse projectile's coat, 1 for the part of the horse head in the bow that is now pink and the horse projectile's mane, 1 for the purple parts of the hair and the horse projectile's legs.

* Frostfang, being all ice, would have just 1 that colorizes the weapon and its effects. So could could turn it into a jade weapon with a green dye.

* Juggernaut could have 3: 1 for the grey parts of the weapons, 1 for the golden parts, and 1 to colorize the metallic effects.

* Sunrise and twilight would have just 1 dye channel each, to dye the hilt of the weapon, and Eternity could have 2 slots: 1 that gets applied to the hilt during the day, and another that gets applied during the night.

And so on.

There could also be legendary dyes that apply unique effects. Like an attunement dye that changes color based on profession status (these would be be disabled for enemies in competitive modes, since they'd give away info):

* Black to fiery yellow based on adrenaline level for warrriors

* A color matching the theme of the legend's skills for revenant.

* Gradient White to dark blue based on how many virtues are recharging for guardian

* White to black based on initiative left.

* Black to gray/brown for engineers based on recharging toolbelt skills

* Light green to very dark yellow as a ranger's pet loses health.

* Orange, Blue, Purple, Brown based on elementalist attunement.

* Pink to purple based on how many illusions a mesmer maintains.

* Dark to bright green based on life force a necromancer has.

I think everyone would probably find Legendary Weapons far more appealing if they could dye them, and it would add an additional reason to craft them.

However as someone pointed out, Anet pretty much rendered their reasoning years ago as to WHY it can't happen.

The poll is nice and all, but this is probably an impossible request.

Didn't realise a whole country was legendary.

At release I was hoping we would have dye channels for weapons, but with the way it is now my vote is a solid no. Plus it's not gonna happen (considering it's been requested over and over since release). I would also prefer their time being spent elsewhere (just not on RNG lootboxes and more skins please for the love of Talos).
