Mirage Cloak was a bad design to begin with. An entire elite spec based around a stronger dodge mechanic that completely eliminates the need/reward for good timing is extremely unhealthy and impossible to balance.

 

The only way Mirage Cloak would be balanced was if it functioned like a normal dodge. It already lasts longer than a normal dodge and lets you go on the offensive while being unable to be hit. That's enough. Being able to dodge while cc'd, or breaking stuns every time you dodge is ridiculous.

Nobody's talking about interrupting skills, but it should definitely interrupt channeling buffs.

Agreed, it's more about parity than anything, you should be vulnerable while channelling the buffs and easily interrupted regardless of what class just like you can't channel in stealth.

You can stomp while being invulnerable and in stealth as well. Think before you post. Safe stomping is not game-breaking.

 

On a sidenote, I guess it's entirely the same mechanic, but hopefully the change will apply to Stronghold as well (hero channels etc.)

Mirage can also use the Dodge ability while firing Trebuchet on Battle of Kyhlo. But, as mentioned above, that might be considered an interruption of actual Skill-usage, a bit different Scenario from Channelling Buff, so I just wanted to hear Devs point about it. Is it intended?

I know that u can shadowstep stealth invuln portal etc etc stomp.

 

I was just ASKING IF the ability to dodge stomp is being removed with the ability to dodge while getting the buff since its basically the same mechanic.

 

No need to cry about a "pls dont nerf mirage cloak stomp other classes have safe stomps as well". Jeez.

Most classes have to make a skill selection to safe stomp, and it involves an investment.

 

Mesmer already gets Distortion base line for safe stomping, and is the only profession that receives built in safe stomps. What you are saying is that Mirage should also receive additional safe stomps for 0 investment, and I feel that this is already too much. 2 dodges and Distortion is 0 investment for a lot of safe stomping.
