Can we have something done with shield gens already?

I know there's very little visible in the Screenshot, but under this bubble there is:

7 rams

2 golems

70 enemy players

4 shield gens.

It's impossible to defend - ACs don't work because of shield generators. Rams, golems and shield generator are covered by the bubble all the time, so it's close to impossible to disable anything.

Can we get shield generator minimum range extended please?

How they put down 7 rams and 4 shield gens under that bubble without hitting the local area siege cap? The only server I have known to break the cap is YB by coordinating simultaneous placement. And even then it is very rare.

How to properly defend:

 

1) Assess the situation.

2) Do you require reinforcements? If so, call for reinforcements.

3) Delay the enemy as best you can until the reinforcements mentioned in point 2 has arrived

4) Fight the enemy

5A) You won! Congratulations.

5B) You lost! Sad.

6) Repeat from point 1 the next time the situation occur.

 

Siege is not part of the process.

One good thief with disabler on the shield Gen hard counters all that stuff.

Well for the delay part of your story it kinda does matter. Since without siege you can delay them well only seconds. . If at all.

So what you are saying is... shield gens are needed?

Disablers won't work inside the shield gen's bubble, even one thrown from inside the bubble. Disablers are only an effective counter when the shield gens are placed far enough from the siege they're shielding.

Ha! You act like ppl defend. Rare occurance on my server. They give up T2 towers for paper.

Ac's? lol, what game do you play. Before an ac has got only a fifth of a ram or catas health they are inside at the next gate. With shield gens they wont even touch the rams or catas. If you even survive the onslaught the blob can do to any person on a AC unless it's placed real high, this is not the case at all keeps or towers :/

Disables are fine, indeed. They do not always work though.

This just in! A map queue with over 500 supply spent on siege is hard to defend against! Coming up later: The ocean is wet and full of hungry things. More news at 11.

 

Seriously, put some thought into it. You seem to be comprehensively outmanned and outgunned here. You should be at a disadvantage. On the flipside, a heavily defended T3 keep is VERY difficult to take, no matter how many shield gens you throw at the situation. Without the gens, it would be impossible, not merely difficult.

 

Edit to add: try using catas/trebs against the enemy siege. Aim at the ground next to the bubble, as splash damage can still get through.

Yeah, it is really strange but the 50 people surrounding it always seem to have a problem when I do that. Who would have tought that....

So uh what good would a minimum range do? they would just build shield gens in two different spots to cover each other.

 

The bigger problem here was, if that "70" were in your inner garrison, where was your own force to repel them? and if you didn't have enough to repel them, you were going to lose that garrison regardless.
