Edelweiss.4261
Currently, I just alt-tab for a bit, look back, alt-tab again, and finally it is time to do things. I vastly preferred the old cutscenes. Not only could you skip the entire thing; you could skip forward past just the part you don't care about. Find a certain character annoying? Just hit next until they disappear. Instead, I find myself sitting around waiting on dialogue for waaaay too long.
Asum.4960
I actually enjoyed seeing my character in those cutscene things, although they could have been done better, I was kind of looking forward to them. Over all, I think the current presentation is better, but it's really what keeps me from pulling multiple characters through the story, as I really can't be bothered to sit there for lengthy unskipable dialoge parts which I have already seen. Lord Trejgon.2809
yes, I miss "old" dialogue cutscenes. The "proper" Old dialogue cutscenes from GW1 ;)
Biff.5312
I prefer the old scenes as well, but I guess I'm in the minority.
sorudo.9054
they are all horrible, impersonal and bland. the first one was a horrible system as if 2 stick figures had an interview, the second one just wanted to scratch my eyes out and the further they go the more i wish bioware made GW2..... MithranArkanere.8957
I didn't mind the style of having people talking over a background, but I could not stand that there was only 2 characters at a time, regardless of how many people were in the conversation, and that there was no movement and scene compositions with a frame of reference for their positions and sizes, just 2 models on the screen and may not be talking to each other at all. If the models could come from offscreen like when someone walks in the conversation, and if the models could be smaller and be positioned in the screen more freely, like in visual novels, I could have sanded it more. Aridon.8362
I personally hated them. I found them to be pretty bland like old people and Tapioca pudding.
Leo G.4501
You don't need to see your character's face and body emote or do stuff that isn't mashing attack buttons. It's not like customization is important or anything.
Eloc Freidon.5692
The emotes are nice though why can't we have access to them all whenever we want. These cutscenes were such a load on the dev team that the work could have been used for meaningful content. This is why we now have a quick paced LW update schedule and none of these cut scenes. XatraZaytrax.2601
I miss the skippable dialogue. It's fine the first five times but I have 12 toons I put through story and I end up switching to Candy Crush while the dialogue plays because I just don't want hear Brahm whining any more or Joko speechifying -- let me kill him already. On the plus side I have a high Candy Crush level.
Goettel.4389
I'm part of the minority(?) who doesn't care for the story at all, so as long as there's a skip option I'm good.
