Odds the legendary weapon will be a GreatSword?

With the new longbow legendary being announced (underwhelming as it may look to me), that just leaves the Greatsword (Generation 1) as the only weapon to not have a Generation 2 version. Now technically, that also leaves the underwater legendaries needed a Gen 2 version as well......but, should we ever get an expansion pack....I will be my account it will be full underwater, and then the release of subsequent legendaries.

 

Guess Ill run another toon thru Magumma and start prepping.

(My bad. Didn't read your whole post apparently) I would think the next will be a greatsword, but with 3 Gen 1 greatswords already, they may choose to make and underwater weapon first.

Unless they changed their mind without telling us there will not be any gen2 underwater legendary weapons. You have around 6 months to gather approximately 2500g worth of stuff.

I guess 'prep' for me will be casually running another toon thru Magumma for the Gift....I already made a few Gen 2 legendaries ....and trying to get the Gift of Desert is just toooooooooo boring. lol

Think they confirmed underwater legs werent included in this set back during HoT. Greatsword will def be next.

A set of 16 legendary weapons was announced with HoT. The greatsword should be the next and the last of the set, then they're free from it.

I was wondering what you were prepping for: the Longbow in a couple of weeks, the Greatsword in 3 or 4 months, or whatever the next expansion brings in a couple of years, more or less?

The greatsword is next and last of the gen 2 legendary weapons that will be created (though, my interpretation of what the OP meant was the greatsword being aesthetically pleasing, which I hope it will be). I wonder if it'll be thinner than the ones we have now. I hope it'll be original and not just a mix like the longbow seems to be.

Generation 2 has everything now except underwater weapons and a GS.

So it's very obviously going to be a GS.

 

My guess is they either don't give us new underwater weapons at all or they throw them all at once at us.

The Devs stated, when Gen 2 Legendary Weapons were announced, that there would be no underwater weapons included.

Other then the fact that there's already 3 Legendary Greatswords you mean. It made the most sense that the GreatSword was last. At least you had options.
