It is so dead no one cares anymore. They did not make it pvp viable in the last 10 patches. It surely won’t be next patch or the one after.

Anet intentionally keeps certain specs bad so that they have less to worry about.

I don't know in which level you play... either you or me is complete trash in game mechanics understanding.

 

My understanding is that they killed mirage this time. It was already struggling in tournament(out of Meta).

tbh they probably could have prevented the whole layoff thing if they reorgnized their systems team and hired one competent person to do things right

This is such a classic "grasping at straws"-argument.

According to other mirage mains, the spec was already killed like 3 or 4 times....yet here we are again.

 

Let me make something clear....just because something isn't winning mAT finals, doesnt mean its bad.

I dunno when or how this kind of mentality started, but it is getting really old by now.

Cause for whatever reason, the meta apparently, gets defined by a Bo1 match every month....oh and semi-finals / 2nd place / and the entirety of NA doesnt count.

What a very convenient argument to use indeed....since that's basically just 5 specs in total.

 

By that logic:

DE is trash (meaning that the silent scope nerf was actually unwarranted); Holosmith is trash, Warrior is trash, Daredevil is trash, Core Guard is trash, Reaper is trash ...etc.etc.

They delayed it because they probably didn't know who was going to still be around to work, the day it was due was the same day the office was going to be closed and the devs needed time to say goodbye to colleagues. It would be really bad to push a patch when the office is closed, so the next time would have been Thursday/Friday? For consistency I don't mind it delayed for a week.

 

Again this patch was likely done a month ago or at least a lot of the planned changes, well before the lay offs and restructuring back when they had a skeleton crew. Adding more people for 1 week doesn't spontaneously make it suddenly go from almost maintenance to weekly balance patch tweaks heaven. Give them time, see what's next and take it from there.

DE, Core Guard are trash indeed

Holosmith and Warrior were clearly out of meta pushed out by ranger (like mes).

Mes with the changes that are happening are dead.

Warrior and Holo ...I don't know yet...they can still comeback with the town done on rangers. And thief as very often is and will remain in a very good place.

Ridiculous sustain for Mirage and 5 clone bug still in play.

So nothing changed.

 

**Ranger**

Beast build still is tanky af and deals ton of damage.

So nothing changed.

 

**Revenant**

Didn't tone down the power output.

So nothing changed.

 

So, pretty much nothing changes.

Skill-less play still in favor.

No one is taking Song of the Mists over Roiling Mists in pvp.

No one takes that trait, let's be real. And they didn't lose 10% off their burst, they lost a few percent off their sustained damage with potential for a slightly higher burst in the rare and breif occasions when vulnerability stacks are at 14 or more.
