New Hairstyles/ customization please?

they actually didn't add more cutomization, just more faces.

i would love more customization, like allowing make-up/markings on the face.

What's really sad is how it took Anet two expansions to add those Elonian hairstyles (and face shapes). Beforehand, black players got totally shafted in terms of customization. I digress however, and I also see your point 100%. As someone with loose curls, myself, it'd be nice to have some hairstyles that incorporate it.

absolutely and thank you for pointing it out. It was really odd how anything remotely close to not being Caucasian wasn't added until way later & it wasn't the same beauty that existed in Nightfall. I do appreciate what we got though, but we can still have better options in the future.

That face is column 2, row 3 at character creation. Mouth is made WAY wider, eyes are bit tweaked too. I think slightly lowered height, and slightly raised width?

 

I think outside of a few select named NPCs (destiny's edge for example) virtually every NPC uses player character assets. Just have to play with the sliders, even if what they do from face to face is inconsistent.

I've wanted to wish it was that simple, and even as the face you're speaking of is the closest to it (I'm not in game to verify the exact positioning but know which one you're talking about), it's still not the same as what the NPCs have. I've even sat side by side with them with a total makeover kit on multiple occasions. No deal. :(

As a proud norn, and scandinavian IRL, I think we need more norse hairstyles and beards, inspired from viking ancestors, (Vikings tv show is a viable source) hairstyles and head tattoos that can go along very well, tougher facial features and more hairstyles for females.

I created a norn in hope that I will be delighted by it's norse/viking vibe, but not so much... a bit dissapointing.

Also the avatars on the forums for norn are a joke and almost nonexistent.


This is not viking or norn, this looks like a naked, furred collar, football player posing for Vogue Magazine. Not cool.

also, earrings, face jewelry, more hairstyles, scars, make up. I mean even WoW is getting more customization now, and that game had a completely substandard customization options, how in 2020 in a game focused so much around looks we have so few of them to choose from?

I would also appreciate more body types for female Norn to better differentiate them from humans. I can't believe that I don't have an option to make a burly female Norn warrior.

 

Also the fact that female heights always max out below male heights in a fantasy game is pretty dumb. I should be able to make my female Norn just as gigantic as the males.

My female sylvari is still using her vanilla hairstyle, because nothing else fits her as well and makes her either look like she's balding or way too masculine (for my personal view of her). I wish there were more viable choices. The same goes for male sylvari, there are only few viable choices. I know that most people only care about humans, but I don't. I hope that since Anet is even more awesome lately, they will finally listen to our plea. We are not those players that do not even bother to customize their character or care about dyeing their armor, running around looking like they're straight out of the gutter.

And I think there are still many niches which are not really explored for Sylvari. They are plant people and looking at the hairstyles we already have, they can look like **any** plant/mushroom!

So how about stuff like:

* cactus hairstyle

* rafflesia arnoldii ( https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/af/Rafflesia_sumatra.jpg )

* alternative mushroom hairstyle, instead of just 1 big mushroom cap, having multiple small ones with a different shape

* carnivorous plants, like venus flytraps, sundew ( https://i.ytimg.com/vi/FbeJlXlABwM/maxresdefault.jpg ) or nepenthes ( https://www.asklepios-seeds.de/pub/media/catalog/product/cache/e4d64343b1bc593f1c5348fe05efa4a6/n/e/nepenthes-a.jpg )
