Why have CC not been restricted from Critical hits instead?

Giving skills that CC the factor of "Cannot Critically Hit" would have been much less of a drag compared now since removing damage made a lot of skill feel awful.

 

P.S. Necro Fear is a CC that still deals damage, whether it's picked or not doesn't matter. CC shouldn't deal damage, that's the rule. Same for CtA Mallyx.

I think they're hesistant to give up Necro Fear damage because it uses code they originally wrote for Deathly Chill. In other words, they've already removed it from the game once and they don't want to do it again and just leave it unused.

 

They could probably move the damage to a soft CC like Cripple..

Fear can lose its damage when other CC skills do literally nothing else and have 2 additional counters.

 

Fear doesn't:

- Evade

- Gap close

- Stunbreak

- Have any finishers attached

- Have innate damage (the argument could be made that the competing traits are kinda bad, but still)

- Have innate lengthy durations

 

Whining about fear seems premature.
