  1. So annoying, even more that soulbeast is just pure upgrade to core. If we truly want to call it "elite spec that changes how you play the class", it should be something like this: Soulbeast loses the skills F1-F4(pet control call) and ability to merge with pet on demand and the pet itself. Their second weapon is replaced by the skills of chosen pet, meaning that Soulbeast would be only able to wield e.g. Greatsword and skills of chosen beast like Tiger or whatever. Skills F1-F4 could be something like Guardians Virtues e.g. F1 - Predator Privilege - Passive: Outgoing beast skills damage is increased by 10%. Active: Reveal in 600 range radius and increase attack speed by 15% for 6s, cd 40s. 1-5 of Beast(second weapon slot) skills would be 1 standard attack set, 2-3 special pet attacks, 4-5 family pet skills. But yea, not gonna happen.

Soon after the big lazy de-powercreep patch the pvp population plummeted. In 6 yrs I havent seen the pvp and wvw population so low. The games has been in a steady decline for yrs but as soon as the heavy blanket nerfs happened it was only a few months and pvp was basically dead. > Obviously something's wrong and it's no coincidence the population left when it did. They should roll back to pre feb patch and nerf the outliers where they need nerfed and then continue nerfing individual outliers as needed while maintaining a builds viability. The feb patch everyone thought was magical was actually a lazy doomsday patch that killed the game despite some warnings given,, great job. The real decline started with HoT powercreep, the lovely unkillable chronobunkers which everyone loved. No new content, no reason to play, no rewards, nothing, why would people even want to play it? If A-net would rollback to pre-feb patch then it they would just shot themselves in a knee once again, why would they do that? Game would be unhealthy once again and % nerfs here and there won't fix a kitten bad design of e-speces. They've brought so much broken stuff to the game, it would be much faster if they just rollback everything to 2012 game release state. Game with each patch runs somehow worse than it did before, I really don't know what they're doing with their game engine, but it must be some real mess if some changes not even aimed at classes will screw them somehow. The biggest issue with Feb patch is not the patch itself, but the lack of follow-up changes. Powercreep =/= content.
  3. > @"Psycoprophet.8107" said: > I'm on 7 yrs now man lol Are you drunk? He writes about 2012-2014 days when traits were still giving stats and you could invest max 70 points between all 5 trait lines. These 10k+ were rare but could happen in core days, but damage was like doubled after HoT and PoF release. He's talking about apples and you bring your banyanyas on the table.
  4. See guys? This is what happens when you give a candy for no reason to someone and then take it away because he didn't deserve it in the first place, now they complain that you took it away. Instead of complaining about that poor elite skill, you should complain about amount of flying boons/condies/heals/ccs/damage/converts for free since HoT release. Stupid whack a mole mind of balance: add kitten load of broken stuff > add another kitten load of broken stuff to counter the first wave > add another kitten load of broken stuff to balance second wave > repeat again and again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  5. > @"otto.5684" said: > How much more nerfs can the DH traps have? Dragon Maw does no damage. ToF first pass does no damage. The only trap the does any relevant damage is PB, but it’s consistently is none existent, you are better off using SoJ. And as a reminder power DH is supposed to... deal damage. It currently barely does. If there are issues related to condi due to trapper runes, that what needs to change. > > I think the condi DH trapper build is garbage. It is just kitten annoying to fight due to constant stealth. > > As for FB, why redesign something that works well in pve and worked well in pvp, when it was decently balanced? Is not this a prime example of recreating the wheel? Waste of resources that could be much spent on overall balance. Dragon Maw is very strong CC skill if someone gets caught(don't ever come up with stab uptime, boons need a murder across the board together with condies), if it comes to other traps, they need some dmg nerfs and maybe a bit of rework so they aren't "fire and forget" and spam ccs here and there to play ping-pong game with enemy, unhealthy for the game. How about changing traps into something more like: If enemy triggers/passes through your trap your next attack will be unblockable or will daze that specific enemy. Trapper runes need to be removed, it was a mistake to even release them in the first place, like many others in PvP/WvW... Just because something "works", it doesn't mean that it's "healthy", currently FB have access to far too many skills, be it boons, ccs, damage. On top of that it have Mantras with 3 charges, that's a bit too much for one e-spec? It's just Guardian on steroids. There is also Mirage, Chronomancer, Daredevil and many others that are simply failure from design level, they don't bring anything beside powercreep and steroids to the table. Many of elite speces were made in PvE in mind, not PvP/WvW in which these speces are simply unhealthy one way or another. It's nice to give something nice and fresh to the game, but not some cheap powercreep. It's like wearing a coat and putting on top of it additionaly jacket in the middle of summer, cause why not.
  6. > @"mtnjkbm.7452" said: > > @"knite.1542" said: > > What changes would you suggest to balance this druid build, OP? > > Delete trailblazer stats from wvw for everyone/every class. Or dont delete them for the sake of build diversity (lol) but lower the stats by 50%. > People would just switch to Dire or started mixing other stats to get still tanky af and spread condies left and right, it won't fix it in long run, sadly. Condi cap need to come back to PvP and WvW or even better, prevent reapplication within x seconds of the same condi if it was cleansed or expired, so you won't get like 20 Torment stacks 1 second after you've cleansed 15 stacks. Another thing that must happen is to remove circus traits that do chain reactions like you use whatever skill x and it activates trait abc which have like whatever bleed which will activate another fgh trait which will apply blind and others. Not mentioning to give proper animations and bug fixes. A-net should from the very beginning of the game make sure that condies would be supplementary damage/soft cc, not the main source of it.
  7. > @"Swagger.1459" said: > A dev will read your complaint and see that YOU do not want to adjust YOUR build, although there ARE counters. Evidence of “I shouldn't have to re-spec every time I run into a druid in WvW just because they're insanely broken” clearly shows YOU are not willing to adapt despite the "tools" available. > > You just want the devs to nerf something you struggle with, because you can't be inconvenienced to build craft, or merely swap a build. And a players unwillingness to make an effort isn't a rational reason to change anything. And you're not willing to adapt to possible proper balance without broken mechanics and need to label everything as "l2p issue"? It needs nerfs if not complete deletion, it's unhealthy mechanic for PvP environment. Ancient Seeds still not deleted after 5 years is a joke. Vines are buggy and for certain classes non-interactive, meaning impossible to destroy, another problem with them is that they reapply immobilize even after you've cleansed it and still be trapped within them, wth is this? You either need to destroy them(if actually you can hit them, which not every class can) or be LUCKY to cleanse and dodge out of them. So all players in the entire game have to theorycraft just to deal with 1 guy with broken build, yea, sure. You also missed part in which OP states that he made changes to the build to have a better chances against that bs.

I can understand Lich Form Nerfs, but what kind of nerfs to Reaper? It's melee oriented spec most of the time and fragile if focused, no real blocks/invulns like others, Life Force generation isn't great either or rather good on long cd, only good damage if specced specifically for it, like it should be I guess? 2. I'm not defending Heralds, but where does the source of this damage comes? Easy might generation? High flat possible damage from skills? Which aspect of Herald/Revenant is responsible for that? I'm seriously curious for reason why it's so broken. I wouldn't really call it "insane mobility class" either, because it's only mostly for engaging, if no target around, it's the slightly higher mobility than Guardian/Necro, comparable to maybe to FA Ele with Superspeed at most. 3. Removing Trapper Runes? Ye, but apply that removal for WvW as well. DH damage is fine, I would even say it need nerfs on traps. Firebrand like many other elite speces need a complete redesign from scratch, too much of everything in 1 class. 4. Same like Firebrand, needs for complete redesign. Damage buff won't fix it's poor design that is all over the place with it's kit. 5. Maybe after you get rid of all this clutter on screen that Mesmers are capable of creating, ye they can get few buffs, otherwise no. Chronomancer and Mirage need also complete redesign.
  9. > @"UNOwen.7132" said: > sniff sniff staph bully me You keep digging your own grave with your delusions, keep going. Ele uses burst Scepter/Dagger build that can do wombo-combos with fire skills as well, though FA focuses more on rotating around Air Attument mostly with rest being just a fillers/opportunities. I'm pretty sure he used Berserker amulet as well in that pepe video you've linked. Another thing, I'm fully aware what each traitline was giving and you're correct, he didn't use alchemy. He used: PvP Berserker's Amulet 798 Power 569 Precision 284 Vitality 15% Critical Damage Berserker's Jewel 125 Power 75 Precision 5% Critical Damage 45 Vitality Traits were: 20 Explosives(IV,X), 20 Firearms(VI, IX) and 30 Tools(VI, II, XI) We're not really in any powerdip, you simply got used to powercreep and unbalanced kitten even in Core. Some classes were doing too high damage in core days as well, but they've been nerfed a bit after like 8 years in February this year. You simply think that damage like BS from teef that was doing 8k+ dmg from core days was "balanced" and then you compare it to todays 6k from BS and think teef is "underpowered", which in reality is incorrect, because in core days that damage was already too much.
  10. > @"UNOwen.7132" said: > Yes, Berzerker Engineer with 18k hp. And a Fresh Air ele using the air attunement the *least* and bursting with fire. What the hell are you on about? Oh stop this, you're just embarrassing yourself at this point. You don't have any kind of knowledge about this game, none. Before trait rework, trailines provided additional stats like Vitality/Power/Precision/Toughness, dependant on what you've picked, so you could have picked "dps" amulet and still have decent defensive stats from traitlines bonuses... This video is from 2013, which trait system was like what I've wrote. Another thing showing you have 0 knowledge, Fire Attument have "harder hitting" skills but slower than Air Attument, which is instant burst if it comes to Scepter. Dragon's Tooth and Phoenix can hit hard, if it hits, which is much harder than what current classes can do without any tells... Last thing, I've looked into my screenshots, **mostly from WvW** and saw like a few that showed hits for like 6-10k (Eviscerate, Backstab, Killshot, even found Warriors dodge hitting for 3.8k, etc.) and then compared it to screens after HoT release and hits were like 10k from DH traps, Vault for 18k, Gunflame for over 15k, Malicious BS for over 15k, CoR for over 18k, 22k/tick Bleed from Reaper, 8k from Full Counter, 10k Burn ticks and many others and here you are going with lies "damage is lower than it was in core". Ofc, these are all examples from WvW with additional stats and all, but you really need to be blind to not see that this HoT and PoF powercreep didn't affect PvP in bad way.
  11. > @"UNOwen.7132" said: > Hell, pre-HoT Cele Ele wouldve wiped the floor with a lot of builds last year XD Yea, no. Even if it was in it's prime days, it wouldn't even come close to even todays meta roster. Great joke though, I almost cried from laughter.
  12. You guys are funny, it's like you consider a Tempest as a real elite spec for Ele. It was created like 1 week before beta tests for HoT. In all honesty, it should always be capped at max 5 ppl for either support or damage, but a-net had to meme with it because of some stupid raids for casuals. I wait for the real changes, like complete redesign of this last minute elite specialization. Numbers won't do anything.
  13. Yea.... no. The root of the problem with powercreep is very poor design of elite specializations and just letting them into the live game version for memes. Firebrand have too many skills with tomes+mantras... It's just Guardian 2.0 for no reason. Mirage being the top example of poor design. Offense and Defense at the same time! Who ever though it was good thing? I won't bother with Weaver, which is simply an insult to Ele mains which is simply some cheap teef ripoff with shiny effects. Holosmith is broken from the design level as well. Imagine giving it's skills (Photon Forge, Sword, Utility, Elite) to a warrior class and surprise surprise, it'd become broken as well. Low cd, high damage, smartn't design. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It doesn't matter how many times you nerf something with mere % here and there if it's very design is really bad. Firebrand should look like this from the release: Damage: 1/10 Defense: 5/10** Boons: 5/10** Mobility: 1/10 Healing: 5/10** ** - should actully be different, dependant on what is focused on, if it's Healing(6+), the Defense and Boons should be lowered(4-) , if it's Defense(6+), the Boons and Healing should be lowered(4-) etc. But yea, the amount of possible stats doesn't help with balancing either...
  14. > @"Arheundel.6451" said: > It's just ...elementalist was a DPS oriented mage class in GW1, **that's what every player who invested in ele wanted to play** , I am guaranted that ele players want to play a **ranged elemental caster** like the one below : > > > > Nobody asked for this ridiculous healbot playstyle...nobody > How did you know I wanted to play ranged elemental caster and not some healbot? :V I don't really think that staff on ele will become ever viable or usable at all because of stupid powercreep that gave too much broken stuff on too many classes, making eles skills pretty much worthless and ignorable for most of the time. Any kind of hard cc can simply be ignored or bypassed thanks to increased access to stability/low cd stunbreaks, any kind of damaging field can be ignored because of very low damage or very long wait time to be applied, any kind of immobilize or chill are simply bad can be ignored one way or another(resistance, walk away), any kind of healing field that could be used to blast/leap will be overwritten by some random aoe field that is created passively by ur teammate, autoattacks that just fly into space 'cause why not and so on...

After so many nerfs it's still used and kicks out pretty much everything else from "support role", literally unplayable. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ > > i guess we're dealing with a 1 million brain power individual here. nothing will ever replace guard due to anets philosophy of restricting mechanics to certain classes. even if you nerfed guard into oblivion, it would still be picked because it has the most diverse profile. so, instead of nerfing something strong, it would make more sense to buff something weak since most supports have 1 or maybe 2 things going for them but completely lack in other crucial areas. Ofc nothing will be capable of replacing Guardian because of stupid broken design that this class posses, for real... How can you even consider replacing FB in WvW when it provides so much stuff in 1 build, it's ridiculous and shows how poorly it's designed. You have Druid that should be support role, but because it's stupidly designed as well, it's just used as some pepe immobilize spammer. There is also Tempest, that in reality is all over the place with it's skills because it's holden back by Elementalists concept of switching between 4 elements. How can you even consider buffing something when most of e-speces are poorly designed, did you ever though about what you write atleast once? I can't even imagine how broken they would need to make Druid to replace FB or even fight for Support slot in meta without breaking it into other areas, simply impossible to do so. Buff something to broken level so it can fight another broken thing, best idea ever.
  16. > @"Stand The Wall.6987" said: > > @"TrollingDemigod.3041" said: > > FB should get nerfs and redesign as well, too much of everything in one spec. > > yeah nerf something that has been nerfed hard already so other class looks slightly better, makes sense lel If it was depending on me, I would have deleted every single e-spec and redesigned them from scratch, since all of them are kitten bad. FB has access to far too many skills, end of story, it's broken. Your so called "argument" would be fine only if FB wouldn't be used anymore, oh wait, it's still defining meta stuff. After so many nerfs it's still used and kicks out pretty much everything else from "support role", literally unplayable. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  17. Yes, do it, pre-february meta. Especially from 2012-2014 before condi cap removal.
  18. No. Druid is a "support" spec for Ranger. In theory Soulbeast should be selfish spec, but in reality it's all over the place, weapon scream "condi", utility scream "broken sustain" and traits scream "kitten i'm even supposed to be with this mess". They should redesign the whole spec from scratch, because it's simply bad. FB should get nerfs and redesign as well, too much of everything in one spec. Wait, most e-speces need full rework since they're broken from design standpoint without real "purpose". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  19. > @"ollbirtan.2915" said: > Can we please remove posts asking for removal of more and more skills / runes / traits / mechs from pvp? Or at least address how unbalanced it is for players that rely on build diversity vs the fact that a new 'remove/nerf' thread can appear on the forum almost immediately? Give such threads a cooldown of 48 hours to be reapplied again. Just do something about! OP has valid point and yet you come here white knighting it and complaining about people complaining about bad balance. Immobilize should last 1-2s max, unstackable with 4s interval between possible application, any skill that "roots" like Entangle should be deleted from the game, be it trait, rune or skill. It's too buggy, not every class is capable of removing it. On top of that, immobilize is much more potent on condi based builds with so many passive condi applications that can cover that, even more in team based games.
  20. > @"Psycoprophet.8107" said: > Fc is definitely op, especially when u see the obvious visual tell and u simply dont attack the warrior, very hard counter play and completely makes evey fight for warrior a easy win Straw to counter straw: Warrior that have a bit of brain will notice that lingering AoE field that deals damage and willingly go inside of it to trigger FC. I'm pretty sure it must be the most difficult thing to find some random AoE that will deal some pepe damage in this gamemode that is about holding circular points. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ P.S. Have they fixed that permanent FC animation bug yet?
  21. > @"Trevor Boyer.6524" said: > He doesn't have a point though. One way or another, if you want that damage to be removed, as a price for such change I **demand** base 50s cd on it, that should be fine "balance" for such overloaded skill. LR gets interrupted additionally by like 2 skills/effects(Shocking Aura and Static Shield) compared to others with same "rollback" mechanic thingie... Like for real...
