    > the money used to give content, living world, weekly game balance, new maps new elite specs , mounts. I disagree with the people who ''dont play anymore" , they either took a month of two break or playing invisible so they can continue playing while you believing they quit the game

    > > As for what you listed, SKINS ARE NOT content, you don't play a skin, however you'll use it to play the same old content you've been playing for 7 years ... and those skins probably took a day to make and selling it for €20, which..for that €20 you can buy some other game where you can spend hundreds of hours in, in some even thousands of hours...

    > I disagree. Skins are content too. Skins motivate you to play the game and have fun. 99% people make legendary weapons so they can have the skin because not everyone can have that legendary skin. store skins... same thing. people will go out of there way to get skins so they can be different from other people

    > > The fact that you couldn't even list any real content other than "make new outfits, new weapon skins , mount skins" means you know there's nothing... saying "etc" or "many more" just means you can't think of anything else to say.

    > What can i say i like skins..

Hah... new elite specs... people are fuming at Anet for NOT giving them specs. You're so out of touch. And also... what is WEEKLY game balance...we're lucky if we get proper balance patch 2-3 times a year.

Still skins are not content, you just said they "motivate" you to play content. Skins are skins...you don't play a skin.

  2. How is that money used to update the game? They barely do anything since HoT, HoT was sold for €60 and yet we only got half of what was promised, PoF looks empty content-wise. Barely anything we ask for gets in the game. They took 7+ years to implement templates... what for? when majority of the people who asked for it don't play anymore... it's a bit too late.

Where it went however is paying PvP tournaments couple years ago, and it was like $100.000, bought someone a house apparently when theirs burnt down, doing bunch of giveaways while only allowing 1/3 of your community to sign up for it and renting out a whole theater to sell us merch.

The fact that you couldn't even list any real content other than "make new outfits, new weapon skins , mount skins" means you know there's nothing... saying "etc" or "many more" just means you can't think of anything else to say.

Not necessarily for all previous expansions but they have done it with some...it came out 4 years ago, it's old now, it's also the same thing they did with the base game when they released HoT so if you didn't see them doing this eventually with a PoF bundle then it's possible you don't know the game or company as well as you think. Especially as a veteran you should have surmised that at some point in the future they would just bundle HoT with PoF, as they have done.

    >

    > I keep seeing you saying stuff like "imagine paying to go..." and not offering up actual info on someone that did this instead of people that were literally already there to attend PAX and decided to go to this (which was free in and of itself AND attendees got merch). Like i get you feel it was overhyped and objectively it probably was, but i think you are getting really worked up over people that might not actually exist.

I did see few people say they're flying over, one even said he's waking up at 5AM to go there.

I saw it last night when i was checking the timer.

again, at least they didnt show you 2m trailer and other 30m just merch.

Also now that you mention it, after what I watched .. i wish i was high.

    > Lmao they announced the stream as a living world stream from day one, they did the most with the countdown but still the players are also responsible for this. I kept seeing posts like "omg elite specs", "maybe new expac soon" and I thought why on earth would you think that?

What is your point.... it doesn't matter if it was told to it's going to be LW, point is... they spoke about merch more than LW, managed to offend spvp players and they only talked about prologue.. so not even a full thing.

It could've been said in a stream from their office... i obviously can't attend as im living in europe, but imagine you paid money to fly over from another state or even drive over, just to be shown a trailer for 2 mins and rest of it was merch talk.

You can look back into my post if you care, which probably you dont, but I never complained about build templates cuz i never expected them anyway, why would i after years of not having them, I just got used to it and played on

    >

    > Not sure what your complaining about to be honest. I have been playing since Beta and fine with HOT being free to POF buyers. Hell if anything I was expecting this. Older content always eventually gets bundled with the newer. If they didn't do this as an industry-standard I wouldn't own as many games as I do. Hell most games actually give more stuff in the future bundles to entice new players that original day 1 player can not get till they buy the bundle pack (even if though they already have the game).

what is it giving us? their usual 3 month content that i do in 2 days ? and build templates after 7 years ? why wait till the game is almost dead before you do what they ask for... majority who asked for it probably dont even play anymore

  11. I wish it was a joke. I already said in another thread.. but i will repeat it anyway

They give vets some ugly glider, like.... why'd i even bother with glider 90% of the time when I can use a mount....

They give us some armor unlock that's useless to most and a title most won't even use....

Most mmos come with build templates, yet Anet gives it after 7 years......

There has to be people who came from different states, literally paying tickets there and back and probably hotel stay over night... for what ? THIS.

I'd definitely be furious if I did it just to be told 1st expansion is going to be free...

They pay some cringey guy to host it, he yelled my ears off trying to create hype about something they know is going to piss off most

I also said in another thread that I've witnessed all their hypes in 7 years and I've learnt my lesson. I love being right. I just wish people would understand that it always was like it and always will be and not to expect much.

It was probably hype for f2p accounts, they get things to do.. as for fevs... absolutely nothing.

also how many mistakes they had, it's unbelievable ... they don't know their own game.

    > As someone who's been here since early beta I've witnessed all their hypes and can't remember one that lived up to it.

    I love being right.

Giving people HoT for free... yet another spit in the fact to us veterans. We had to pay that thing 60 euros and got half of what they promised, we only recently got last legendary, yet it was paid for with HoT expansion YEARS ago.

Good thing they gave us vets an ugly glider, title most won't care to use and armor unlock which is useless.....

and they hype about build templates.... game is 7 years old. Most mmos come with build templates, and they wait 7 years to do anything about it.

Nah you don't have to finish the sentence for me. It's a fact ... it's not nearly as important as actual new content. Being able to save your dye channels won't bring new players in, new content will.

ummm no. Barely anyone watches GW2 anyway, MMOs are not fun to watch in general. It's Anet's fault that the game is declining because they got money hungry since HoT. Which is why simple skins are £20, better make sure to milk last remaining people willing to buy things than lowering prices because they know not a lot of people are left who would care to buy them no matter the price. £20 is exp price, not a simple boring skin. And let's not talk about them shoving loads of gambling into game that's rated 12.

Hardcore people ARE carrying the game ...

casuals come and go... they are not doing anything much for community or Anets pockets...

It is us who spend money and keep the game alive

  17. People who show at the event irl get unique things in game others won't have.... and Anet thinks it's ok... they are fully aware that half of their players are on other continents and obviously different time zones and can't travel or watch their stream ....

but the fact that I poured 14k+ hours in the game since launch and logged in every single day means I have same armors and outfits someone who started recently has .... new people are given old things that should only be available to people who DID THE EVENT YEARS AGO....

It just shows they care nothing for vet players.... yet I spent £70 just trying to get this RNG blc one ....

so much for people who supported them since the launch....
