TL:DR all posts
Sorry if it's already been asked and answered.
Is mount damage scaled as well as the player in < Level 80 zones?
I use mounts like most everyone else and only the Waypoints for great distances.
It does wonders for map completion: skipping mobs, reaching heights easier, and it's generally fun to race around.
The only other "fix" may be to have them unlock for Level 80 characters only.
-
Only if they would limit the "free" keys to Uncommon drops and below. Keep the purchased keys for high-end for Rare and Super-rare drops.
I see the keys as a teaser for what you_ could _get if you purchase more.
Another reason to add an alternate way toward the keys is some areas are not able to purchase keys, due to it being "gambling."

Sorry, I can't get on board with this.
Depending on how much I play I may get near a gold a day from junk alone when I rampage, kill everything that comes along and harvest every node I come across.
Junk is the least of my problems.

Not a bad idea.
I would like for my Mesmer, Necromancer, Warrior, Revenant, and Thief to not all sound the same.
I wouldn't mind if their voices changed as they leveled. The longer you spend in combat, the more you see, and it changes you as a person.
-
I don't play much in Fractals and none in Raids so there is little chance I get a negative effect.
It's always those who abuse an item that make it hard for the rest to enjoy it's benefits.
If the monitor could only be seen by the user's stats to attempt to better themselves, I don't have a problem.
If a group would rather see a ranger play a Druid than a Beastmaster that's one thing, but to say you can't play your thief because they don't do enough damage is toxic to the game.
However, what I understand about certain raids, if you don't contribute by not knowing certain skill rotations or having a subpar DPS then you are a detriment to the group and they have every right to kick you and look for a better match for that specific team.

Give a person a car and they bitch that it's the wrong color.
It's one thing to wish the speed were better or it felt like flying underwater, but to imply the devs shouldn't have even tried is petty.
-
I vote "No, but it's a good idea."
I don't plan on upgrading to the underwater skimmer and sticking with my +15 infusions.
If the next expansion requires the use of an underwater skimmer, I'll reconsider.

Not saying it's a total work-around, but there is a series of jumping pads that will take you from the bank to the steps of the trading post.

No more work than the developing the build templates and equipment templates.
The stats automatically change from "Helmet" to "Breathing Apparatus" when the character goes underwater, a ranger's pet changes from one terrain to the other, and the primary weapons change.
Why not bring out new equipment slots for the appropriate terrain?
-
I just think it looks stupid to swim around in plate armor.
-
Just a question.
-
Noooooooo!!!!
I used mine many times because it looked like I was too bored ride my mount properly and started to read a book.
-
What?!? There was a sale?
There wasn't anything I really needed so it didn't help/hurt me a bit.
I hope everyone else was able to support the company through buying those things they were looking for.

I would like a simple black and white single-button tuxedo with a bow-tie and accompanying red rose boutonniere.
-
Sooner will cause more bugs (instead of the usual number of bugs).
-
I'm going to sound hypocritical here by saying it's a bad idea now, but I wish I had it when I needed it the most.
Like most new players, I spent my points in the first open slot that came along instead of looking at the long game and what the end result could give me. I spent points on Fractal Attunement (11 total) when I don't even touch Fractals. Those points could have gone toward Advanced Logistics (picking up loot automatically) or Legendary Crafting.
Now I tend to hold off on spending MPs until I play a while and know exactly which line I want to finish first. And I ask veteran players what they wish they had done regarding the order to complete.

I like your thinking.

It only spoils if you fail to refrigerate after opening. :p

If certain mounts are required to complete the story, they should be trainable within that expansion.
If we're exploring the oceans, there should be a skimmer trainer somewhere on the map with mastery points.
-
Maybe we can get a Pelican.
-
Once you log in with a character that has completed the PoF story-line it will unlock for any character on your account and can be completed by any of them.
-
It could be that it's not well monitored.
When people are allowed to say anything without regulation, they will.
The anonymity allows people to vent without having to look someone in the face, it's a form of being passive-aggressive.

OK, I thought you were talking about the MARKET as a whole, not the market for specific items of high value. I had to reread our threads.
You're right it would tank the prices of specific items the more you have available.
The only change to the MARKET as a larger entity would be people having more gold to spend on high end QoL items that were out of their reach before.

Very soon after "everyone" had those expensive dyes and tried to sell them at 500g-1500g without success (because everyone else has the same dye) the price would lower dramatically.
You may have a dozen dyes for sale today going for 1500g because they are ultra-rare, but when they are no longer ultra-rare the the value will decline.
Place 10,000 items in a game with 11M players and that thing may have a value of a few thousand gold.
Place 1M of the same items in the pool of players and it's easier for everyone to have one and the value may only be a few hundred gold.
You start with a small number of rare dyes for sale and the price is high, but when you add more into the system (because it's a b-day gift) the price drops.
Am I the only 1 who loves underwater combat?

I did read a couple posts and think it would be interesting if UW combat were extended to WvW.
Imagine a UDT planting bombs and gaining access to castles/keeps through a basement while a second team uses standard flaming rams on the gates and walls.
It would certainly call for a lot more collaboration between independent teams both for offence and defense.
