To even talk about rating in Gw2 is to talk about RNG/luck because that's all it is. Rating and matchmaker are not to be used interchangeably. Glicko2 is used for rating and whatever ruleset ANet uses for their matchmaker are two different systems working together.
  2. You can block and dodge the damage ticks too if it does hit.

I can understand the other way around, but this makes no sense to me. I can understand not needing to put a torch or war horn in the main hand, but if someone had a cool idea for it, I would support it. Of course you and countless others don’t understand. You’re talking about a significant change to the game with weapon classification. It’s one thing to want something interesting but at least be a little realistic about it.
  4. Off-hand weapons won’t be main-hand and two-handed weapons won’t be dual wielded. What are peoples fascination with this ridiculous concept?

All of the Jalis abilities are 5 targets except for Vengeful Hammers which is 3 targets. You only get an illusion that there isn't one, since you have essentially three projectiles spinning around you, but they only hit one target per hammer at a time. I'm pretty sure based on what I've tested a while back the hammers are independent of 3 targets. The 3 hammers will hit multiple at once but never more than the same target one at a time.
  6. Is that a train coming through the tunnel? No... It’s a flame throwing engineer spamming 1.

Sure theres full fantasy themes like mages and u want them to feel like mages but theres also warrior classes that regardless of fantasy u want them to play and feel like a warrior right? Their not a made up fantasy So why is it weird that some one wants a samurai spec as a example to feel like a samurai and of course like warrior I'm sure I'd have some "fantasy" heavy skills, warriors were a thing but I'm sure few wielded torches or scepters lol or could jump 30 meters distance or road on dragon mounts:) no reason the two cant mix. I'm not making any reference to fantasy games but when people are including historical samurai and European knights per se, then it gets a little out of hand.
  8. If Mirror's weren't so horrible implemented then the one dodge wouldn't be as bad.

The only thing that doesn't make sense is Mac users not being able to use addons and a built in DPS meter will ensure compatibility with the game. It's not going to affect the whole community and it's not going to make Mac users feel bad because they are not playing GW2 on Windows. > Why should addons be a privilege of Windows users, it doesn't make sense! That literally makes no sense. If ANet is not going to make a Windows based DPS meter add-on (which that alone is just plain silly because they'd incorporate it into the game) then they're not going to make a macOS one. And as someone said, go ask the macOS community to make one.
  13. What’s the sense of them releasing a dps meter for macOS when they won’t release one for Windows?

  15. Why do people include realism into a fantasy game? We shoot fireballs from our arse so anything is possible.
  16. > @"Doctor.1384" said: > The issue with a mainhand 900 ranged weapon as an elite spec addon is that theres no ranged offhand to pair it with as both offhand options are for closing gaps for melee weapons There is no issue. You can have a 900 ranged weapon and still close the gap. Also, 900 range doesn’t mean you should be locked at 900.

But it’s easier to post on a forum to ask for nerfs than adjust. I mean c’mon, they’re asking for core rev nerfs.
