That's nice but I guess you didn't understand what I was trying to say. I'm stating that, with EoD around the corner, it's likely Warriors will get a staff and will be treated the same way as how Thieves got a staff for their Elite Spec...
  2. Well, Warriors will almost 99.9% get Staff as their next weapon and will serve as a "lance" or "polearm" because if you've played through Champions in LS, you can see the Champion Watchknights that follow you, using a lance and a spinning ability with it. :/ So if anything you guys will probably get that weapon with aoe damage and mobility like utility skills. *shrugs*

Yeah, i've been looking at that trait as well. > But harrier in WvW? I don't know, at that point, i better stick with Wanderer's since it's also Power and concentration, but has vitality and toughness as well. > You really don't want to go in WvW without some toughness. I know it doesn't have healing power but on harrier's i'd really miss that toughness stat. For PvE, sure, it would totally work as a damage/healer but in WvW i'm not so sure. > For WvW, for that i'd then use Crusader's, but then you miss out on concentration... > Idk, there's not one "be all end all" combo that has it all lol. Ummm....I've gone in WvW with both minstrel AND harrier and it still doesn't make much of a difference, that's where you have to mostly rely on mobility and cleansing skills to get by. But if you just wanna play a support role and stay in the backline and just buff/heal then yeah sure minstrels. But I run harriers for PvE (when required).

Necros can now portal, seemingly everyone can do alacrity... Eh... And don’t forget about Thieves getting a portal too lol...next thing you know they’ll give warriors a portal just because....
  6. It was good before when they didn’t nerf the signet of inspiration but now it’s just....people want us for Alac/Quick and that’s it....but even so, ANET is giving our boons/utilities to other professions so.... Here’s hoping EoD gives us something on par to what FBs have...(healing/boon wise)
  7. It could be possible if they only did it where you had access to another professions utility skills only, but wouldn’t have access to their elite specs, traits, or weapon skills. And no one bother saying that would be dumb because that’s the best thing I can think of if they were going to introduce dual professions. They also wouldn’t want to have let’s say: a ranger have full access to warriors traits, weapon skills and elite specs. So sure, I think dual professions would be cool, do I personal think it’s going to happen? Never. And that’s okay because I can l live without the headache.

And while mesmer right now might not seem to be that strong, the trait itself is just toxic and promotes very lazy and 0 iq playstyle. I'd rather see it changed so you actually have to apply more than 2 brain cells in order to make use of it. But that's just my opinion, yeah. Mesmers AREN’t strong because of all the whiney players that had us get more nerfs than any other class out there just because “low IQ” players don’t know how to adapt or improve their own skills when encountering a Mesmer. Additionally, the blurred inscriptions is just another defends mechanism so it’s NOT lazy at all and if it was, how about we take a look at other professions that have overloaded kits with better survivability than us. And so far, you want the trait changed but not going in depth as to what to change it into to compensate.... Again, if you don’t like fighting against a Mesmer with Blurred Inscriptions then I suggest not entering WvW/PvP and picking a fight with one because we’re at that stage in this game where Mesmers SHOULD not be getting any passive nerfs just because ‘children’ need a handicap when fighting us...periodt

  10. Well once this whole dragon business is done, they should probably finally focus on adding more content to existing maps/areas, balancing etc...
  11. > @"Yoci.2481" said: > I wish they applied all the PvP changes to WvW as well. I'm asking the same question; I swear PvP & WvW just needs to be the same so balancing is done between PvE & PvP/WvW only. On another note too, I'm surprised Thieves didn't get more nerfs; still waiting for those **files nails**...

I personally run: Dom/Illu/Chrono and I stopped taking Shattered Concentration with me because in WvW there's just way too much boon uptime and application that it just isn't enough in my opinion. I wish it removed more or had this effect where if your foe had a certain threshold of boons on them, the shatters would remove more. But I think I'll try running Duel/Illu/Chrono and see how I feel.

I could with Mirage, and it was great for roaming, but in general, THAT's how bad they nerfed mesmers. > Mesmers already have to deal with the abuse from the community asking for nerfs all the time, now the company that made us is abusing us as well. > What do Mesmers have to do to get some respect from the company that made them? > > And Indeed, what about Thieves? 3 dodges, invisibility and all the innate dodge abilities they have on top of that. > If Mesmers want to have half of that, they need to always weigh the pros and cons, while other classes can have it all and still not be considered OP. > > It just feels bad to play a class i like and constantly being punished for it while others get away with so much worse. I totally understand where you're coming from and since I've been playing since launch, I ONLY made a Mesmer and have done so much with the profession and have theorycraft all kinds of builds, but there just isn't many optimal builds to utilize and I'm speaking In terms of WvW/PvP wise when comparing to other professions out there. So with that being said, I can't just "Start Over" and pick a different class and go through EVERYTHING. I don't have the patience for that like some people who have X amount of Chars... Again, here's hoping the next expansion fixes some of the problems we're facing or at least gives us an E-Spec that makes up for all this kitten Anet's done to our class.

Just the usual favouritism and the only way to actually enjoy Mirage is in PVE it seems.

I believe that it shouldn't be touched now. If it is buffed, I assure you that mesmer won't be killable, which will lead to more nerfs. I respect that. Do you still put points into the domination tree or do you currently run something else? I myself run full zerker so I take Domination and I’ll usually take the GS trait when in Chrono (for WvW) but in PVE I’ll take the increased illusion damage. Yeah Restorative I think is working differently for either one of us and I’ve run a full minstrel and healing items build with it and still not getting these amazing heals so....don’t know what to tell you there. But with that said, I think some people need to realize additionally that when EoD arrives and when they announce the new specializations, traits WILL be adjusted, nerfed, changed etc... to compensate for balance. So it’s all fine and dandy when some players say “don’t disturb the class or disagree with what was posted” even though they can’t back it up with how the trait is useful. And the ones I’ve mentioned are not even meta or traits people bother to pick up so, I’ll take their replies as a quick personal attack and would rather see Mesmer not get any sort of treatment while everyone else does.

Right! I think that's what I love about the Mirage spec because it gives this sense of "phasing" through all forms of attacks, cc and conditions which is balanced because if you take a look at classes like the stupid thieves, they can go full zerker and have more condition cleanses and escapes than us. Regardless of their "role", if Mirage is supposed to be "inspired" by the thieves, we should be given more access to vigor or have our endurance regeneration increased. Well everyone plays differently but I know two Mesmers I roamed with a while back were using the Mirage to "get used to" the 1 dodge and it was too difficult because if the enemy isn't unloading everything in the first couple seconds of the encounter, they'll just do it again in the next and our dodge will still be on CD so *shrugs*.

  20. Harrier is the way to go now and a better choice IMO. Also; they nerfed Signet of Inspiration and now it's become useless since it doesn't allow you to share boons anymore... Edit: Forgot to mention too since you've been away. They've also pretty much given a lot of other professions some of our uniqueness, i.e: Portal, Alacrity etc...
  21. While we're on the subject of Chrono; Wells should cast from us and not targetable. This helps with allies missing or stepping off of the wells. *shrugs* :s
  22. WvW not so much and I'm usually in there (Maguuma) but PvP; literally just did a couple of spars and I bumped into your usual toxic player who think they're better than everyone.
