  1. Never. If players want to AFK they should do before signing up for a match.

And I /report players who do so. Not that reporting will do anything, but at least it gives the feeling of doing the right thing.

Exception for players who kindly apologize beforehand. ("Sry, doorbell, moment please" for example)

  2. I finally started playing Tournament and for two times we got a 'bye'. Wiki tells me this is a match skip to deal with an uneven amount of teams, and that it counts as win.

But it seems to count as loss for the "Emblem of Tournament Victory" achieve because it is not progressing. And for the rest of the tournament of probably counts as win, giving more difficult matches to continue from, increasing the chance of more losses for lower ranked teams.

This makes it a bit hard for lower ranked teams to progress the above achievement. Is this true?

    > Idea is simple, too many unskilled players are confusing Anet by constantly crying about stuff, that actually isn‘t strong. I feel like taking part in balancing issues should only be allowed at a certain skill level, meaning if you reached Plat 1 to Legendary in your last season. Letting people in lower divisions take part in such important decisions will just further ruin the quality of the meta, because most of them don‘t know what they are actually talking about

Just give the plat+ players their own server with their own balance so that the balancing for a tiny subset of the player base does not affect the playability of the majority.

Well, I mean that damage was high in comparison to defense/health. And I indeed prefer a higher time to kill.

Nerfing is an instrument and it should be kept in the toolbox for when it it appropriate.

  5. They have been a major disappointment.

Not that the missions are bad, they are ok, but since DRM happened, there have been no quality living world releases with a new map, a good set of storyline missions and/or meta.

Yeah, I guess that is one way. But I wonder if groups take players with my (Silver 3, 1100) player skill level. In normal ranked I already encountered a lot of salt in some matches, and team mates who want to force me into other builds and classes. (Which would end in disaster. Been there, done that)

  7. I ended up with Carrion amulet and Dolyak rune for some toughness. It lacks the healing power but makes good in the condition damage and health.

I tried sage first but with no toughness I ended up being dead before I could make use of my healing abilities, especially with all the interrupts, fears and knockdowns going on. I needed something more passive.

Minimap is not always too clear. What is the difference in an instruction of "I go to here", "You go there", "Warning, don't go here"?

  9. I have been working towards the Transcendence legendary ring for sPvP. I'm near being able to craft Slumbering Transcendence but for the visual effect I will also need to reach 20 wins in the sPvP tournaments. The issue is that I never did that before, and I'm only a 1100 Silver-3 player. I know my maps, know my build but build is not meta and I'm terrible with changes. I tend to have winning sprees of 8 games followed by losing sprees of 8 games. Promoting to 1200 gold-1 and then back to 1100 silver-3.

So, is tournament doable for someone with my skill level or can I forget about the visual amulet?

  10. One common factor in the grand majority of losing sPvP battles is the amount of chat.

The chat may not be always the cause of the losses, but it does not help to turn the tide.

So, the less chat the better. Only exceptions are a making a strategy before the match starts or very short indications like: "The next bell should be ours" or "Go to tranquility"
