Basically it would be kinda like the Glyphs different abilities based on attunement. The only issue i could see is Firey Greatsword and Flame Axe. I would say drop Axe and make it so in Fire you get Greatsword, Water Bow, Air Hammer and Earth Shield.

Another option (though would NEVER happen...) Instead of Firey Greatsword, you get Axe and the Firey Greatsword turned into its own Elite that again, changes based on your element. The difference would be, while the Axe/Bow/Hammer/Shield one you would be stuck with that weapon the Firey Greatsword (given a new name - Arcane Greatsword!?!?) It would change as you change attunements as well.

  2. What they could do is: Turn ALL of the Conjure weapons into a single elite kit. The Conjure you get is based on your element. Maybe give it a 10second cool down after leaving. Swapping attunements WOULDN'T change your weapon UNLESS it make it that with the kit active, swapping attunement puts ALL other attunements on a 10second cool down and then i think it would be pretty fair.

Of course, balance changes would be needed, cool down increases, damage reductions and such but IF that happened. It would totally use it!

    > Also, the change of this trait to become earth-attunement only is a big no-no to me as I'm mostly attacking with fire.

It will either remain trash OR it will be buffed but given limited use. The reason it is near useless is that It can be used in all attunements. If they locked it behind Earth then it would be allowed to be a viable trait. Because it would then have counters. Even though the current form is total trash, it has no counters. If they limited to just Earth, they could remove the ICD, they could lower the health requirement. They could even make it 100% immunity to conditions while in Earth and it would be fine.

They could revert it back to the way it was and it would would be under powered, because the power creep has made even Bunker Condi builds hit for 3-4k which would be EASILY enough to get an ele lower than the 90% health needed before.

I would debate just how skill based WvW ever was, the balance has NEVER been good enough for it to ever be considered skill based. Everyone one runs around with broken, boring cheese builds. Always have. There may have been times when it wasn't so bad but its NEVER truly been skill based. Class and build have ALWAYS been more important.

It's pretty much this. The longer the game has gone on. The worse the balance has become and the worse the player base has become because they have been to used to unbalanced cheese builds that do all the work. The game would die if it actually became skill based because most of the player base wouldn't be able to do anything. This is VERY heavily on Anets hands for their woeful attempts at balance but also partly on the player base for demanding that people run meta, there isnt really a choice. You play the META even if you find it boring or you are cast aside.

  5. The game wont last this many more expansions imo. I think we will likely see one more expansion before they start (if they havent already done so...) on Guild Wars 3. The problem will be with just how poorly thought out many aspects of Guild Wars 2 has been that i dont think Guild Wars 3 would be able to pull in as many people as Guild Wars 2 did. It would take weeks, if not months after release for those burned by Anets decisions in the past to possibly be tempted back.

They could make it the reverse. Under 25% health you are immune to conditions. You still get them inflicted on you but they deal no damage. I dont think this would be that broken. WOuld be at low health, would be the choice stay low health to not get dented by conditions but risk direct damage getting you or regaining health taking condition damage but not being at as big risk against direct damage.

Though i would prefer: Immune to all conditions while attuned to earth. This would make it easier for enemies to counter as they would know not to burst all the condition spamming (they still would...) and wait for you to leave Earth and with the fact that Earth kinda (really!) sucks it could be something good to make earth worthwhile. It would be kinda similar to the Stone Heart trait. You would have one for Crit damage and one for condition damage.

    >

    > I don't expect a elite spec of summon or elemental pet as good as ranger's... I guess that'll be asking too much but seriously remove the EXPIRE in 60 SEC!!! :s

In WvW and PvP they die within 5-10seconds. They are simply put useless in current form. Even if they had no cool down, instant cast. they would STILL be a waste of time using them. They need HUGE buffs. Remove the 60second duration and then reduce the cool down a little as well.

Sword/Dagger. Great mobility. Leaps, Teleports, great swiftness, Great condi removal. Solid CC (for an ele lol) several Evades. Good options in utilities as well.

    > Ok Now. When about Scourge and Firebrand nerf ?

Scourge is nowhere near the threat it once was when it comes to 1 Vs 1. Firebrand could do with more tweaking in my opinion. Too much defense, healing and burst for my liking. Scourge however, isnt as strong now in 1 Vs 1 i cant remember the last time i died to one.

  10. > @"Joey.3928" said:

    > Sad to hear. I guess I will have to shelve this idea. I'll look into other weapons then.

If you want pure melee. Dagger/Dagger or Sword/Dagger. You have Base, Tempest, Weaver all as options. Different benefits to each so would be your choice. You would have the freedom to choose power, hyrid, condi, bunker. Anything really.

  11. That would be a balance nightmare. It would without a doubt mean the heals would have to be altered, given shared cool downs and such and would need so many balance, trait and skill changes that it just wouldnt be worth it what so ever

  12. It was ALWAYS going to be nerfed. It was broken as hell. Cheap. Skilless and very, very broken. Was ALWAYS going to happen, it could have been much worse of a nerf. They could have gone for an X second reduction (5-10seconds) but this isnt too bad for what they could have done. Though, i expect more nerfs to come.

  13. > @"steki.1478" said:

    > It can barely handle 1v1, outnumbered fights only depend on how long you'll remain unnoticed.

This, You can deal big damage if you have everything go right (or macro...) but any decent player wont have trouble killing you, even crap players depending on their class or build. Its just not designed for solo. It will get kills, not many and will have to be against either people have only just stepped foot into WvW and new to the game or against people AFK. You could go the Fresh Air Pile Driver build, will kill people but if they dont die from the burst you will die.

  14. What i would do is change the Lesser Elementals utility, turn it into something else. Not quite sure what though. With the Elite either give it a MUCH need HUGE buff. to health, toughness, damage and the like with each one then getting exrtra bonuses in their specific role Fire (power/Condition damage) Air (Precision/Crit Damage) Water Vit/Healing Power) and Earth (Toghness/????) and then give them GOOD active use skills on a reasonable cool down. Make so they dont die when they get looked at, make them an actual THREAT and USEFUL to combat

    >

    > A summoning spec makes sense for elemantalist, but I'd prefer if the summons were utility skills. That way you wouldn't be forced to rely on AI for every build of that spec. AI can be troublesome in PvP, so I think that it's better that way. Also elemental glyph don't need to be removed. It depends on how they design it.

The problem with that would be. You would have no defense except for the weapon skills. Unless they made it kinda like the Necro summons where you can have them active and then you "kill" them or in this case be something like have them fuse with the Ele and do some sort of effect based on the elemental or something like that. The thing is, A summoner spec with my idea would actually be better than say Ranger, as Ranger has all the damage weaknesses and such for the sake of the pet. They could do that for a summoner spec without going through EVERY weapon, utility and such to nerf them all.

    > Professions are balanced across the spectrum of traits & skills, not just category to category. Necro summonses are designed differently from those of mesmers, of elementalists, of engies (turrets, gyros), guardians (spirit weapons), etc. The game would be a lot less interesting of they all worked the same.

Mesmer doesnt really have any summons anymore. Clones arent really the summons, they are shatter fodder. For me it goes:

Necro Summons > Engineer Gyros > Guardian Spirit Weapons > Engineer Turrets > Elementalist Elementals.

I cant remember the last time i saw an Elemental in WvW. I have seen countless more Necro Summons, Gyros, Spirit Weapons and Turrets than i have elementals for the fact they are WAY too easy to kill, deal crap damage and have VERY little use otherwise.

Mesmer Phantasms got a much needed overhaul. It is time that Elementals got that as well and it would be SO much quicker and easier to do so as well. Though, wont happen.

Though as i said, dreams of a proper Summoner Spec shall linger 3

  17. My hope - Ele gets its elemental removed and gets a summoner spec that is gives the Ele a set of weapon skills and then the F skills are turned into a an Elemental summon in the vein of Ranger pets. The Elementals need HUGE buffs in my opinion. They need to be something worth using. They are simply not viable for anything other than random trash PvE.

  18. Trying to compare Ele condi to Necro condi is hilarious and SO bias. How many Conditions does Ele have? Lets compare. Excluding Sigils, Runesets and such. Ele has Bleeding and Burning. 2 damaging conditions. Very limited access. Unless you are Weaver you can only apply one at a time and even as Weaver having to blow utilities. Necro technically has access to every condition through its own skills and its corruptions and they do corrupt VERY easily.

Comparing to Mesmer? Thats fine,t hey have loads of Conditions as well but compaing to a class with the lowest tier health and armour AND having TWO damaging conditions? Hardly fair lol

I mean sure. You CAN get 20 stacks of Burning, If they blow all their cool downs using specific skills, building for as much Burning duration as possible but its also MUCH easier to cleanse as it would take using 3 Utilities and attacking and hitting. The problem would be - doing terrible direct damage, having no defense and HAVING to be in Fire attunement so no condi defense, no mobility or anything either. Will work on someone AFK, wont work on ANYONE that has condi removal.

  19. > @"Yannir.4132" said:

    > "When attuned to earth and above 75%, you gain Resistance (1s) each time you are hit." 1 second cooldown

That would NEVER be used. It would need to be an effect that cant be corrupted or removed. It could be 100% immunity to conditions when above 50% health and it would still be near worthless unless you are bunker as you will still be taking BIG direct damage from bunker Condi builds. Being based on your health would be worthless due to the power creep that even makes condi builds hit hard with direct damage when they have base power, crit chance and crit damage :/ Lol

  20. They could revert the trait to what it was and it wouldnt be used because the power creep has become insane. The trait WAS great AND balanced. If you were 100% bunker condi, you wouldnt win but if you even put a bit into hybrid you would make the trait worthless. The problem is, even the full bunker condis deal much more direct damage these days than they did when the original trait was about.

I think that was because Revenant was SO poorly thought out, designed and implemented. I dont think they will add another class because of that. It was too much work needed for them and it showed that they clearly didnt get enough time. The class and specs are a mess and even by the time they do another expansion Revenant will STILL be a mess.
