Is it really worth it to starve your dps with 60 uptime quickness for that? DIscretize recommends bringing Mantra of Liberation because they're literally top notch players able to mantain enough quickness by aiming every mantra towards the group. Truth is, if you're able to do that, you most likely won't ever need to bring Mantra of Liberation to begin with, so why bother then? > > > > Sry, this was a quick rant, but i'm tired that 7 out of 10 pugs doesn't bring FMW and ends up affecting the whole party doing so. > > As hfb you overstack both fury and quickness by 20-30s WITHOUT FMW with not perfect application of mantras. Unless your group is challenged at stack or you are challenged at casting your mantras towards allies, there is 0 reason to take FMW with 100% bd in fratcals. Now don't get me wrong you can play how ever you want and obviously have to adapt to how bad a group is (aka if there is 0 stacking). Suffice to say, stability is more useful than ONLY at Skorvald IF you want to carry the group or don't want to send your renegade on dwarv. > > You are essentially arguing that using a big cooldown or a utility slot is less valuable than taking an elite which is NOT NEEDED (without actually considering the stun break aspect of MoL, which is useful in Cliffside, Chaos, Sirenesreef and Sunqua Peak). Tell that to the 60 quickness uptime HBs. Like I said, syg and tome3 is enough to cover all the times you need to stab through attacks in CMs. FMW is also used as an AoE insta quickness, use it when your group is about to regroup after cc phase on artsariiv and people will start precasting everything even before artsariiv becomes vulnerable and without waiting for everyone to stack in front of you. And i'm talking about CMs, T4s are so trivial I don't even care about how the other party members perform.
  2. This is my daily routine for karma farm: Stack boonfire + karma banner + spirit banner + wintersday blessing + food + utility + guild karma boost + karma enrichement on asc amulet 1-> Bell Choir Activity, I do 3 songs, opening ONLY the pruple bouncy chests which have wintersday gifts (I keep the 3 brown ones since they have the Karma reward). 2-> Winterland Jumping Puzzle and I do it 3 times to get all 3 Karma reward dailies, NOT opening the brown chests. The reason I keep the brown chests is because the karma you get from these are affected by all the karma boost you currently have. You can only have 6 brown/bouncy chests active and available to be opened with a click, the 7th and onwards will automatically be opened when you change instances, maps or log out on character screen. At this moment I will have all 6 from Bell Choir + Winterwonder dailies the moment you return to Divinity's Reach. 3-> Race, I do it once for the 10% karma gain boost from doing the race. 4-> I use 4 candy canes (4 minutes is enough for me to give all 30 orphans their presents) then I open my 7 Karma brown bouncy chests, and do all 30 orphans. If I remember correctly, each brown chest is around 13k karma with all karma boosts, and each orphan gives me exactly 4050 karma. You can also do the race another 2 times, I personally don't want to bother doing that but its another 26k karma if you do it.

The only place you "need" extra stability is in skorvald and the alacrigade should take care of that, every other encounter you can single handedy provide stab with SYG and Tome3. What's the point of sacrificing one source of instant AoE Quickness just to have more stability that you really need? Is it really worth it to starve your dps with 60 uptime quickness for that? Sry, this was a quick rant, but i'm tired that 7 out of 10 pugs doesn't bring FMW and ends up affecting the whole party doing so.
  4. Healbrands focuses on healing bursts when Scrapper provides constant healing. Healing is not really the scrapper's main priority though, the condi cleanse is indeed insane and best of all they do convert every single condi into a boon thanks to [Purity of Purpose](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Purity_of_Purpose). Both classes can mitigate damage through unique means that basically stack with eachother. thats why they're both godlike supports for WvW. But yeah, when it comes to emergency healings, the HB should take care of that.
  5. > Slowed down the animation so the shot occurs at 0.55 seconds (up from 0.24 seconds). https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Overcharged_Shot The "cast time" was part of a competitive general CC skill nerf back on February 2020 and it has always had that cast time since then. If you noticed the skill was instant it was most likely a bug.
  6. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PegAw6lZwOYSMLGKO2LrvVA-zRRYCJBhoiXBMIg5IBSlgQ1A-e Here. Feel free to mix any gear stat you want, open world builds are not set in stone.
  7. Fixed it really quick for you. Note that this is only for open world. http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?PegAw6lVw6YJMGWJOsPlvTA-zxQYikg+aUAFCYcEBSFBhkDA-e Utility skills: Healing turret is the best healing skill for engineer and works as a condi cleanse as well, if you get more xperienced with fghts you can use AED instead which has given me better results in openworld. Rifle Turret is used mostly for the toolbelt skill Surprise Shot, turrets overall are really lackign and don't offer much, so if you want to pick one, pick rifle turret. Make sure you use Hard Light Arena above 50 heat, its a really good source of protection as long as you fight inside the arena, the toolbelt skill is a pull, useful to cleave things with your photon forge. Elixir U is mostly for self quickness, you can burst down enemies with these 6 seconds of quickness and photon forge. Traits: Explosives focuses on putting Vulnerability on enemies and giving you an overall damage boost. Firearms helps you with your critical chance, as well as Fury uptime, grants you ferocity (which results in stronger critical attacks). On Holosmith trait line I changed your Crystal Configuration Storm to Eclipse, the barrier you get with your corona burst (holo 3 ) is really strong and helps you stay alive for longer. Equipment: Don't go full defensive, take advantage of the damage Holosmith puts by gearing up the most power precision ferocity you can. You have a lot of surival skill and traits and you shoudl always aim to burst enemies down, Holosmith is the king of cleave, you can anihilate groups of enemies in seconds with this build. The gear stat to go is Berserk but you can also get Marauder for that extra vitality. Don't doubt on mixing some pieces with toughness or vitality as long as you have some power and precision in it. Make sure you always start fights with photon forge and holo3, and deactive photon mode if youre about to overheat, then follow with your sword skills and use sword2 as many times as you can, enter photon forge again when youre below 100 heat. https://gyazo.com/8860d100e9780bf5b82914ee2ae8a816 --------------- For raids and fractals however, check the links Infusion.7149 gave you. you need to follow these guides and practice your rotation and improve your damage on the golem since these are endgame fights.
  8. Took me 53 keys to get the cape. and I got only the cape as rare drop (not counting the weapon skins that I didn't want and I sold on tp). Good thing for me is that iIdo keyfarm and keep keys for when I want a rare item from chests.
  9. Blue class obviously. -WvW HB Support (god tier, there is, or should be one for every 5 players in a squad) -PvE HB Support (god tier, literally the best support atm) -Power DPS DH (still good on **benchmark** raid runs) -Condi Fireguard (god tier dps on CMs + T4s, its even the only condi class that performs insanely good on cm99 and cm98) -Quickness + Condi Firebrand (really good with some compositions) HB is the only **viable** support that can tank in raids besides chrono. WvW Core burn guard was considered a silly efficient build against large zergs (not sure if nerfed) Only thing a guardian can't do is give alacrity.
  10. SC uses the most (unrealistic, for mere mortals like me) optimal settings, and they focus on basically showing the top potential on every class on the game. Empower Allies is still a semi viable meta build, the warrior loses some dps but if the other 3-2 dps in your sub can pull out their benchmark numbers, its gonna end in an increased squad dps (sure, this never happens in non-static experienced squad anyways). Snowcrows does use empower allies in their group benchmarks on power bosses. They put their BS in a sepparate sub so the buff spreads through everyone on the squad.

Excuse me what? That outfit was a rare drop from the black lion chests a few months ago, the vouchers **never** puts any exclusive outfits, or skins that never were on sale with gems on the trading post. Besides, the voucher updates every august with all the gemstore outfits launched on that span of time, right now we're missing all the outfits that got released after this annivesary sales. And I repeat, with this vouchers you can only pick skins that has been sold on the gemstore before.
  12. This is for the big-medium-small green circles you refer to: > Each green circle is in a fixed position and has a number of stars above it (1, 1, 2, 2, 4). The number of stars corresponds to the minimum number of players required to be in the circle such that its protection takes effect. And this is for the 2:47 part: > Sword - Green circles will spawn around the arena after Cairn completes its Orbital Sweep attack; there is no minimum on the number of players in a given circle. Every green on that part of the video is of the same size. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bastion_of_the_Penitent#Cairn_the_Indomitable
  13. The WvW exclusive skin unlock ones. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/WvW_Reward_Track#Exclusive_tracks I'm at the Legacy Armor unlocks, but i'm gonna start doing the Maguuma Wastes Reward Track one to get Ambrite Fossilized insects which are really, really rare and expensive to get in PVE.
  14. The battle against Zafirah on LWS4 EP4. The Deadeye Priestess. You can clearly feel the danger of having a Deadeye hunting for your head. You can easily feel intimidated by her constant threats, together with her laser sight aiming at you through the battle. You can understand her grudge against the commander for having killed her god, Balthazar. You can experience her grief for having lost any motivation to keep living, after she literally lost what she dedicated her life for.
  15. Remember that you have to activate the crystaline heart **before** the encounter starts, and you have to activate it again in case your team wipes and needs to restart the encounter. And for the encounters that asks you to defeat the boss (deimos and cairn) you have to stay alive through the duration of the fight.
  16. > @"Hannelore.8153" said: > You might have amulet enrichment, food, etc. without realising it? There's also account-wide MF bonuses from achievements. Just to clear things out, the magic find you see on your achievement panel shows the **permanent** amount of magic find you have accountwide (Luck + achievements). Like people mentioned already, hovering on the magic find bar shows how much from both you've gotten so far. If you want to see the total amount of magic find your character has at that moment you see it on the hero's panel on the equipment window on the bottom part where the stats are displayed, this magic find displays permanent magic find + other temporal magic find you get through food, utility items, runes, enrichements, boosters and other event bonuses.
  17. Everytime I want to take screenshots of my character I always move the sliders on General Options to center the camera to have the view I want for a full screen picture. **In Options -> General Options -> Camera** **Vertical Position Near** -> Move this to the min/far left to be able to have a view of your character from their feet. **Field of View** -> Tinker with this and the zoom on your wheel button on your mouse to get the perfect distance and have your character occupy the amount of screen of your desire. **Adjust Camera to Character Height** -> Make sure you have this unchecked to avoid the camera from pointing towards your head instead of your body. Have fun taking screenshots! ![](https://i.imgur.com/s5Du1gB.jpg "")
  18. If there are guaranteed drops they will end up being trash anyways since everyone will get them. Dhuum already has a chance for a 400g chair drop which is unique for that encounter, even though i've beaten dhuum 40+ times i've never got it, but like everything else, if the chances gets increased, that chair wouldn't even reach 150g. If you don't consider the rewards worth the effort you can also skip dhuum/qadim and go for the rest of the clears. The reward "itself" comes when these are the only bosses you haven't cleared on the week.
  19. Condi BS also works wonders in the right hands, AI has a set pattern on how long she will stand in a side of the arena and you can basically get 90+ banner uptime in the entire fight IF you know how the fight goes. The problem is not many people knows this fight, and the average PUG prefers to have another condi dps instead.
  20. Condi warrior is good, yesterday I had a good one, pulling out more than the average dps. If you're true to your class get good at it, I also consider myself a holosmith one trick pony, condi holo is a hard rotation but I learned to do it and now I'm even competing against the meta classes on cm100 just ebcause I do love my class.
  21. From my own experience, anet always updates the Black Lion Vouchers on the anniversary sales on August of every year.
  22. > @"Adonan.8356" said: > Everyone seems to be worried about Destiny's Edge The reason is simple, they were the protagonistic force before the commander came to be. They were tyria's only hope in a world were all races didn't get along. First multiracial group to ever challenge the minions of the dragons. And that hope was gone when they failed against an elder dragon itself.

Are you really sure?
  24. > @"zombyturtle.5980" said: > No, enough human female bosses. More monsters or other tyrian races please. EDIT: I read that as "Not enough human female bosses" lol mb Your "Not Enough" might be a statement of "never get tired of", but here is a list of female human bosses: Sabetha Xera Desmina (Or more like Soulless Horror, the "Demon" part of Desmina, who was originally a Human) Sorrowful Spellcaster Ai Mai Trim Arabella Crowe And that only counting endgame content. ther emight be many others from story, or mini bosses on open world like the world boss Admiral Taidha Covington.
  25. When you hover over someone's name in chat or in the portrait when you select them: If the person is in one of the guilds you're on, their account name will show up in a small box. If you have that person in your friend list and they also have you added in their friend list, you'll additionally be able to see the character, and the map they're on. If that player isn't in your friend list nor in any of the guilds, you won't be able to see anything.
