  1. In order for the challenge mote to appear you must complete all achievements related to that fractal (Be it Nightmare, Shattered Observatory or Sunqua Peaks).

The wiki of the Sunqua Peak's fractal isn't complete yet.

    > At Level 99, so long as at least one player has completed the Nightmare Fractal meta achievement, the party can partake in the challenge mote by speaking with the Harbinger of Woe.

    > Note that in order to start challenge mode all normal mode achievements for shattered observatory must be completed by the person activating it.

  2. As someone who played this game because of the story, I can confirm **it was so annoying** I had to do first step of PoF to get the raptor when I started playing two years ago. I was so upset about that, not gonna lie.

And peopel fail to see the intention here, everyone thinks we want free mounts, back then, I wanted my mount no matter what I had to do, I just wanted my mount because everrrryone was happy runnign around core maps with their mount and of course I wanted one, but I didn't want to play a story step that takes place long later after the point I was (about to give a good read to the lws1 summary article on the wiki).

Its not about giving the mount for free, its about avoiding new players to do one f the lattest parts of the story when they all want (including myself) to live the story in order as it got launched.

PD: Mounts are a commodity-necessity, sure you can play core tyria without mounts. but you can also play most PoF map without mounts too, I don't see the point of the argument here. Mounts are a big attraction for new players to buy the expansions. Imagine telling them "play for 150+ hours without the thing you bought the game for or until you reach PoF"

You pay for all 3 tools and get all three since its used on a character level. Unlike LS season packages where you get a discount for having partial account content.

Volatile and Unbound gathering tools never go on sale with statuettes. Only individual infinite gathering tools do.

    > We really don't need a gw3 anytime soon.

I want to agree on this, but I find myself unable to, due to the poor optimization of the game's engine. I mean i'm not expert so I can't judge, but its known that GW2 is strugglign to keep up with the technologies, having a lagging game with even potent computers.

Nonetheless, I don't desire gw2 to end anytime soon and I believe it won't. People shouldn't panic thinking the game will close until there is an official statement. FOr the time being, continue to support the game and it will live for more years.

  5. Every world boss attacks are telegraphed in one way or another. You have to pay close attention to the animations to determine when is dodging time.

Its all about timing, you will learn eventually. All bosses also follow a pattern, the Mark 2 Golem for instance, which is the hardest world boss imo (because you actually have to dodge and not rely on random healers) follow a patter where it fires one big AoE in front, other in the opposite side, and finally a big AoE around the boss itself. In don't think the electric floor has a pattern but its all about reaction time to dodge out towards one of the safe unelectrified tiles.

First of all volatile magic tools only comes in a bundle with all three tools. There is no way your friend has only "one" unless you mean he has another infinite tool.

You're indeed buying them all 3 infinite tools with the 3 corresponding glyphs and skins, and gem price won't go down because your friend doesn't own any of these 3 tools.

    > And it's not an easy job, nor boring, far from it. It requires good management of energy and Charged mist, good knowledge and anticipation of phases (CC, burst etc) and of course of the potential of your class.

    > Not a majority of Ren are close to this. People think Ren is the cushynumber like Banner War was, and hold F4 sometimes+go afk is sufficient; it's not. But as Ren is often rare and groups still think a lazy ren is worth a dps without alacrity for the group you can't really complain or its too late.

    Amen.

I just logged in do agree with you. Alacrigade is by far the hardest Fracal CM role and all because of the amount of things a **good** alacrigade does. You're right on that most groups just want their share of alacrity, but a well played alacrigade is to take the hat off to.

Now for the OP question, yes you can play heal alacrigade, but Healing from a heal alacrigade is redundant and really inecessary when having a healbrand. You will feel more useless that way unless you play with a quickbrand instead of a healbrand on your team which is pretty rare and you'll have a hard time getting into a LFG.

    >

    > Why so? The game gives you plenty of options to deal with projectiles, Feerback/WoR/CorrosiveC/Ch3T3/Smokescreen just to name some, obviously Ventari is kinda op in that case, but still, you have a lot of alternatives if you stop thinking that you have to burst down the boss as soon as possible. My group is definitely not a pro group and we never struggle at Siren, no matter which instabilities are up.

    > If you pug, just ask pugs to cooperate. if they refuse, that is what is killing you, not the fractal.

That's the thing i'm against, it forces you to bring a specific build/class in order to cheese and neglect part of the combat, it makes it a necessity.

In cm100 Skorvald, alacrigades usually bring Dwarf to provide with perma stab and neglect the knockback mechanic, but even without the perma stab, you can still dodge the kb attacks and clear the encounter without problem if you know how to. But with arabella, if you don't bring any of the proyectile hate people mention here to "adapt" to the circumstance, you jsut have to deal with the crpload of conditions and mass of enemies ALA dinasty warriors. This is the only encounter of all fractals that forces you to change the way you play.

  9. A rotation is a set sequence of attacks and skills that prioritizes high damage and sometimes high cooldown skills first, lining them up to take the most advantage out of your self buffs as good as possible. Your auto attacks works as a filler since they result in a lower damage outpot, and the rotation is made so you autoattack the least possible.

So yes, following a rotation can result in even twice as much damage as someone that just throws skills at random, even if both players has same build and same boons.

    > And than we also have the reworks of Swampland, Molten Furnace and the Underwater one. All these reworks made the fractals harder than they used to be.

There is a big differience between Deepstone, Twilight Oasis and Siren's Reef.

You can handsomely sidestep most dangerous attacks in Twilight Oasis, specially against Amala, reducing the damage and the heal pressure on your HB.

Same applies at Deepstone, the general complain is that this fractal is long.

However, you get completely overwhelmed by the mob spam at Siren's Reef, unavoidable ranged attacks from the 5-10 elementalists spamming Slow and Chill from each ramp at Arabella's. I call that a bad fight design.

If the plot is going to drive home just how strongly Charr feel for their Warbands I'd like to see my own character act in the same way

    >

    > How do charr treat warband mates that betrayal them and follow Bangar who is going after an Elder Dragon. My guess, like the game has shown, rather swiftly.

    >

    > Also other races don’t have huge mentions either with their PS choices, but rather get nods, just like the mentions of humans following Kormir and Balthazar, or the Spirits of the Wild and the Norn.

Depends on the warband and the bond they made. Sometimes the environment feels so tense there happens to be some disputes, or even death threats between warband members even if it isn't anything that threatens the legion's integrity. And other times the warband had formed a decent bond with eachother that a betrayal would be seen as something unbelievable that would make some charr try to make them get back into senses.

The warband members that defected and got killed were mostly minor characters that joined just as plot armor for your character (to avoid becoming gladium, and to "form up a warband") no bond was really made since the to-be commander maybe spent a month or two with their newly formed warband. In my case, I was surprised when I saw Luccia as one of the bosses, and even luccia said in her note that she barely knew the boss (leggionaire) before they left, would be nice if in the future Anet decided to add a small exclusive line for ash, iron and blood legion charr respectively saying something like "Luccia, why?" when you get near, or when you defeat them. Something like when your character says "What the..?" when the Legendary Executioner appears after killing a champ bandit in Kryta.

  12. Oh dang yes please, I hate it that I have to dodge instead of grabbing a crystal on Solid Ocean just because the jade decided to target me right when I entered photon forge.

And also waiting like 2-3 seconds until you can exit photon forge that feels like an eternity so you're able to pick up the hammer when the Archiviner drops it in cliffside fractal.

    > Doesn't the Black Lion Weapons Voucher have BLC exclusive items as well?

No, they're all weapons that you can buy directly with gems when available.

Exclusive BLC weapons like the Iron Beast Greatsword, outfits like the Starborn Outift and gliders like the Roaring Dragon aren't available for vouchers, only from BLC uncommon drops at that moment, or with 60 statuettes now and then.

Oh, are they? then I stand corrected. Can't log in the game right now and the only source of information I have is the wiki and the patch notes, they didn't mention anythign about updating the vouchers yet.

    My apologies.

    > Gliders that appeared as black lion chest's uncommon drops aren't available on the Black Lion Glider Voucher either.

Oh I also have to add.... the Starborn Outfit isn't the only Outift missing from the Outfit vouchers.

Tow years ago, anet launched the Outfit vouchers with the current outfits availables at that moment, As they started launching more outfits, the voucher availability remained unchanged.

One year ago, on the past august sales, they "updated" the voucher with all the outfit that were launched the year since the voucher launch.

~~The reason i'm saying this is that, it was expected that anet updated the voucher this august sales, but they haven't. Outfits like the Abyss Stalker, Mist Stranger, Eve's Prophecies, etc... aren't available for outfit vouchers **yet** (hopefully they update it though).~~ (corrected, they are available).

But something is certain, Starborn Outfit won't appear on the voucher since it was an exclusive drop from the Black Lion Chests. I know because the same has happened with gliders like the [Roaring Dragon](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Roaring_Dragon_Glider) or the [Dragon Fireworks glider](https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dragon_Fireworks_Package).

Gliders that appeared as black lion chest's uncommon drops aren't available on the Black Lion Glider Voucher either.
