  1. Yeah the reusing weapon sets was cool enough, especially because the added effects are usually pretty cool. But the meta rewards have always been brand new skins, this is pretty crappy of them. Not even a good choice of gloves either

There’s a few explainable possibilities ; > > - we don’t see all of the Shiverpeaks > - The theme is used enough elsewhere the devs prob didn’t want to overuse them further > - The devs likely wanted to keep the Shiverpeaks’ theme as a more spiritual wilderness and prob felt adding in visible sci fi areas took away from that feel I think you got it all right, we haven’t seen much of the far shiverpeaks at all but I think for the other reasons you gave anet wouldn’t make the decision to add inquest out there. They’re also hard to survive in due to Jormag, enough to push even the norn out. I know the inquest are kinda famous for being able to set up bases in supposedly inaccessible regions, but still. We’ve also seen from the fact they have icebrood in the crucible and their appearances in maps like Snowden Drifts (for the ley energy events during season 3) that they’re capable of making expeditions into the shiverpeaks.
  3. So glad they made these more attainable, I now feel a lot more motivated to grind out 20K gold for the confetti and chak infusions. Hope they both go low enough to always be on the TP

The gods left because they couldn’t solve the dragon problem but if they’re still watching they’ll see we did it for them.. maybe the other 4 come back? But then they’d have to address their devastated pantheon lmao, they would be lacking 2 gods after we kill lyssa
  5. Everyone likes to complain about infusions... I would like to see a new one added on April 1st that’s very easily achievable that makes your character completely invisible for the day
  6. Agreed, but oh well that’s the point of outfits. I don’t get why they can’t just make armor that looks the same for all weights. Who tf cares anymore? But I’d be happy enough with more outfits where they release parts like helmets and shoulders alone, if nothing else. Though we have like 200+ helmets and under 100 chest armors...
  7. Maybe not for EOD because cantha has so much unique potential, but housing someday, I NEED to see it in game
  8. Feel like fishing isn’t really a crafting profession though, and what is crafting can be integrated into chef - fish recipes and such. If we do get fishing it will either be a mastery or maybe a new type of of profession, or job between crafting ones and your regular profession. That would actually be really cool - jobs that are leveled by character which you can swap to and level up in mini games. Fishing would obviously level up fisherman but they could add more. In fact they could even add parallels to the crafting ones, like “blacksmith” which is leveled by crafting on armorsmith or weaponsmith
  9. > @"Stephen.6312" said: > They might've eaten Lyssa. The best thing about your speculation is that you're trying to fit Lyssa in. Whatever question we ask, or theory we propose, can't hurt to do so. > > Thumbs up, mate. On the one hand I agree, on the other maybe it’s better not to fit her in. After the dragon plot is concluded, her story can lead us into a larger gods storyline with the 4th xpac. Something like: End of Dragons Season 6/Saga 2 in Cantha (so much space to cover in maps and so much going on there it’ll need another season) Then, either another season with lyssa leading into the fourth expansion, or the fourth expansion right from the end of 6 (similar to how 3 led into PoF without having much to do with the plot of PoF before the very end), and wrap it up in a season following the expansion. At least, I’m assuming the first post dragons plot will be about the human gods since they set stuff up a while back, not to mention there’s unused ideas from GW1
  10. It’s crazy, but you never know. I mean I don’t think they actually ate them, that would be weird and incredibly cringey. But the idea of them consuming her magic and killing her isn’t terrible. I think there are more likely (and better?) options for her story but that’s possible
  11. A lot of them have cool and unique effects, I think your best strategy is looking up videos on the ones you think you’d like

It's not related directly to the act of hiting a foe from a distance, it's part of the job but it doesn't define the job. I know, I was mostly joking. Still, it could have dual meaning. Ranger certainly excels with ranged weapons so far, it would make sense for them to have another

  14. If their idea happens to get made, whether inspired by their posting or not, random players never get free stuff. That’s now how this works and if that’s why you’re coming up with ideas, you’re in it for the wrong reason. The reward is seeing something you wanted implemented in game, coming up with something you think will make the game better and then being happy because you know you helped improve a game you love in some way. It’s ridiculous for a player to expect free stuff because they throw out unprompted ideas at anet and expect them to just take it and make it into a reality because they had the thought. All this said, oozes as gathering tools is a perfect idea for a new set, that would be very cool to see
  15. I really like this! Tengu has been a long and complicated discussion over the years but I think this version would be a pretty reasonable solution. What really excites me is the idea of a globetrotting living world like season 3, where we get coastal maps that have increasingly more water as anet improves and expands upon underwater content, followed by a deep sea dragon expansion in the unending ocean with features like a handful of underwater mounts, new underwater legendaries, and elite specs built from the ground up to work underwater (but still work on land too). I would like to see it take place much farther out to sea that you put your maps (the majority of the maps taking place in the large stretch of water south of the fire islands), but I really love your idea of the dragon vortex. I also really like the idea that zhaitain isn’t fully dead. People tend to bash on resurrecting dead characters unless it’s handled carefully and done really, really well, but if anyone should be allowed to come back it’s the dragon of death. It would even make sense to say we did kill him, but he’s able to resurrect if his body isn’t destroyed. Seeing as he’s still gravely injured it wouldn’t be a full length storyline to kill him, but it would allow anet to take another stab at making him feel like an epic threat on a level with the other dragons.
  16. I’m down for that, anything more for guilds you have to do and to actually work for yo earn would be nice. Seems like they never add more of that kind of thing for guilds. Or any content at all...
  17. I really, really doubt they’ll say a whole list of releases was all a dream sequence. However we can be fairly confident that something in the saga will somehow lead us to the sea dragon, since it’s very likely that will be the antagonist of the cantha expansion
  18. > @"Maulclaw.4365" said: > The animation is not the same as the censored animation. Human females are using the same animation as human males. Asura feel really robotic and norn are all about clipping. And it's yet another grind to get. > > Ugh. Figures. Got to say I’m disappointed as hell they didn’t bring it back. I figure that was why they were doing this emote in the first place. But instead they wasted time making a new one for humans, and it’s the worst of the whole lot by a mile. All the others are awesome, I love them! But why in the world wouldn’t they take this opportunity to give players something they badly want back?! Worst decision of this release but all things considered I guess that’s a good thing
  19. > @"hugo.4705" said: > The only regret I have about shiver emote is the useless shiverplus emote. Way far better emotes could have took its place like /meditate /tinker /shoutout... Adding an effect to an existing emote is way easier than making an all new one though. We didn’t miss out on one for shiverplus, we never would’ve gotten a full emote in its place
  20. > @"sorudo.9054" said: > i remember a time when an emote was added in a game as a feature, not as a reward. > oh wait, GW is full of that and has more than GW2....... I feel like a balance would be better. Some just added in and some that are unlocked. But I get that they take a while to make, so using them as rewards justifies their creation. Otherwise we probably wouldn’t be getting any
  21. It’s the focus skin I’ve been waiting for all my life, I don’t think they can ever top this. I NEED to get gems soon
  22. I honestly can't really remember what all I did throughout the year, but highlights were finally crafting vision and crossing 24K AP. Most of my goals for 2021 are carrying over from what I was too lazy to do in 2020. My current goal is to finish them before EoD though, not the end of the year Get Kraitkin (EoD will have more water than HoT or PoF, but even if it's still not much I just wanna have an underwater legy) Pass 25K or 26K AP (depends on when exactly EoD releases if I can get to 26) Unlocking a certain chunk of skins from the wardrobe unlockers that are cheap (15G or less) or something relatively easy to get (example: dungeon skins) so I can use the ones I have Once we learn about the new specs, craft a legendary for whatever new weapon ele (my main) is getting.
  23. > @"Ogwom.7940" said: > That’s pretty neat. > I just wish we could get the wolf and snow leopard shaman armour skins. > > The trailer also seems to depict a share with a new cape that could look similar to the the beast slayer weapon set. I am guessing it will be a gemstone item. Agreed on the shaman skins. It seemed we were going to get all four (one set per two episodes), but with things having changed it doesn't look like this is the case unless we get both of the missing sets in the finale
  24. > @"Danikat.8537" said: > I thought it was only human females who got a stretch animation removed. Were they removed from other races/genders too, or are they getting a new one? Yes, I assume this is part of the reason it took so long for them to add back (developing stretch animations for other races and genders)
