  1. Found our first Banners main. Still very powerful to defend a structure.

I would also post it in Looking for Guild. That section may help some. Currently, my guild sits in a full server and likely won’t open soon. But there are some good ones out there. Hopefully, some will pipe up
  3. There are several. Some would call them gank squads lol. Most havoc. I would suggest updating your post with your current server which will help to see if people can run with you. Also, posting in the ‘Looking for Guild’ section of this forum may also help. Good luck to you.

But call it what you will. > they can freely do changes to balance as much as they want. Many WvW players would greatly prefer this as most of the broken specs were made that way secondary to PvE specific tweaks/buffs/nerfs.

Because too many people don’t think past meta battle and can’t figure out how to work together to beat a comp’d group.
  6. > @"Dawdler.8521" said: > > @"Valelutra.9128" said: > > So the main group using this rune also like to run fake guild tags. And they’re running a pretty melee heavy comp. So they back up enough to bait you into chasing while their golems eat some of the damage. Then they reverse and yeet you as the golems spin to cause extra cc. The other movement they typically make involves charging into melee and then reversing as you try to push all the way through. Typically you push through them and into the waiting golems and the players follow, leading to more yeeting with the spins. Tbh it’s kinda like they’re using the golems just like how a pugmander uses pugs. They’re good for soaking damage while your good players do damage. Big difference is the golems have more HP and don’t rally the enemy. > > > > Main weakness of the comp seems to be at range and that they have a tough time stealthing if they’ve got golems out. > TL;DR same weakness every other seemingly simple OP thing that you multiply has - once you learn how they fight, you can adjust and win. > > I still remember that time we brought 50ish engineers into battle. Everyone with supply drop. When the enemy zerg pushed... they just evaporated. Anyone in the frontline insta-died and anyone running after them insta-died. It was like drawing a line and everyone running over it died. And they did it at 5 fps because we probably almost crashed the server, hah. > > But of course, after some time they learned to bait the bomb and just go around. Yes. The group in question harmonizes their comps through research and practice. They also are one of the better at training as the expectation is people work on specific builds that work together. Under the current play structure, most pick up groups can’t last against them as people want to play their own builds. Taking away the rune will only change which come they go to. And they will still wreck equal and slightly larger groups.
  7. Agreed. I hit one dead horse... But I appreciate what they have provided to us as a game. I truly enjoy playing it.
  8. > @"kharmin.7683" said: > Or maybe the community could put it to rest. Alliances is almost meme-status now. Yes, because the community started it. ? And yes, it’s been meme worthy for over a year. And that meme could be put to rest.
  9. > @"kharmin.7683" said: > That's kind of my point. Alliances should never have been announced until it was much closer to actual deployment. People want more communication from Anet, but what are they going to tell us? Anything they say is often considered a "promise" that something will be done, and then when it isn't they're raked over the coals for it. Then put it to rest. Manage the expectations. Say it isn’t happening. They did that about the potential for an expac. They said nothing was planned. Explained they are providing longer story sections with ‘expansion level content’. People gripes, and generally moved on. Then, when an expac was decided on by then, they said voila! And people were ecstatic. Say alliances isn’t going to happen. Say it’s been shelved. Say they don’t have resources for it. Say something.... Don’t give a long thread, two updates and a vague reference. Then nothing for 2 years. Again, can you imagine the fallout if nothing is said about the expansion for two years? The WvW community deserves a resolution. That’s all. Resolve it. Don’t complain about them beating that dead horse until Anet is ready to either resurrect it, or dispose of it.
  10. The Mesmer fall damage trait that was broken and one shorting people until it got fixed. Wish I could find the videos...
  11. > @"kharmin.7683" said: > I still think one reason for Anet not posting in the forums is the level/amount of negativity and criticism that comes with it. The Alliances announcement being one of those things that some forum posters just won't let go. It's easier for Anet to release something with a modicum of fanfare than to suggest/announce something that doesn't show and then get kittened on by the forums for it. Ok... So I get what you are saying about negativity. Now... Take a step back.. Let’s picture 5 months from now when we get a little more info about the plans for an expansion. Then let’s go another 6 months and be provided with some vague info about some questions that have come up. Then... Radio silence. Complete and total nothing for 2 years. How would the rest of the community feel? Yeah. Thought so.

  14. Most will want to know if you are EU or NA Many of the ‘stable’ worlds (though that is an ever fluctuating term) are full. In fact, few of the main servers are not full. Problem is, several of those have been links and have risen and fallen. But I would note if you were EU or NA.

It can still provide a decent amount of damage or healing. Wouldn’t be quite as common as tempest and weaver are now, but it would run.
  16. WvW doesn’t need new maps. Maps aren’t the content. WvW can change with each encounter, each interaction. What WvW needs is: - Some attention - Frequent tweaks on balance - Population controls, special events - Incentives to have the interactions/fights - Ways to train and develop new commanders that the game supports The rest is noise.

To address this very specific point, to get the 6 from wvw you need to finish diamond tier skirmish chest. Obviously there are people that are going to do that anyway, but I feel like your post is implying that farming for these 6 mystic coins that will take hours and hours to get (depending on a lot of factors obviously) is good gold. It definitely is not. > > If the goal is gold then don't worry about the cost, value, difficulty in acquiring, etc of Mystic Coins. Exactly. 50 coins per month isn’t bad either... but...

It's the great link system we have in place from our overlords . I don't care that people do it since it's more content for us but others will i guess True, but yet, Mag has a full link... BG doesn’t. Hmmmm.

You will find players and guilds that have that same mentality on BG or BP. Yeah, gonna call bs on that. You might find them on ANY link server. Look up when the last time BG opened...

For the short period of time I hadn't got the warclaw yet in wvw I thought that was one of the best features ever, now I just wish there were more players without warclaws in wvw that I could share speed with. :) > > This would dis-incentivize people in PvE from purchasing mounts. 22. Well, if we want to complain about inflation, legendaries have skyrocketed. One of the first Meteorologicus’ sold for 200 gold. Now they’re going for 2000!!!! What are us poor sellers of legendaries going to do?? It’s criminal I tell you! We should protest (peacefully of course) in Lion’s Arch!! Block the bank and the TP entrances!!!!
  23. The good news is the game gives out mystic coins just by logging in. So, the more they rise in price, the more income the game gives you. You can get 30 per month by doing the Legendary event (the name of the boss escapes me) And 6 per week from WvW. So, right there, just from playing each week, you can get 74 per month, That’s 150 gold right now. Pretty good.
