While I normally watch the cut scenes and enjoy the dialog, I can completely agree with OP in this instance. I actually gave up trying to get the "Can't Knock Me Down" achievement because of the very long, unskippable event that proceeds it.

Back when SAB launched a couple weeks ago someone with a Joko related character name was spouting "Praise Joko" in the map chat of Rata Sum. I responded with something along the lines of "Joko and that meme can glitch off." (I actually typed 'glitch" as my character is asura). That individual then proceeded to PM me about how I was "verbally abusing" them and demanded an apology, and then informed me that they were reporting me. I took screenshots and showed my guild. We all had a good laugh at their expense.

Seriously, the Joko memes stopped being funny long ago.

    He's no Buckaroo Banzai though.

I did finally manage to complete this achievement...barely...and I will not touch this race again until it comes back next year.

    > I agree that the reaction was over the top and that people should have understood that the code was already programmed, but please remember that the crash wasn't the 'other side of the world', if it is the one i think it was it was a German pilot that crashed in the Alps. This isn't a US forum, it does include a lot of European players as well, (myself included), the April's Fool wasn't limited to the US servers but was also on the European ones, and so for some it was a little close to home.

By "other side of the world", it's usually understood that the Anet offices near Seattle, Washington, USA is used at the point of reference.

  5. It might be time to link [this website](http://purpletabby.wixsite.com/clockwork-wolves/sandbox "purpletabby.wixsite.com/clockwork-wolves/sandbox") again (you'll need to scroll down a bit to get to the proposed hairstyles as the artist has posted some weapon skins at the top)

My personal favorite of hers is still Three Barettes for asura.

I also think a hairstyle design contest would definitely be something I'd be interested in.

    EDIT: Fixed link.

  6. Im not sure if you're aware, but you can blame the posters in the old forums who accused Anet of being tasteless when they released the aviation themed April Fools, saying saying that Anet was being insensitive because a airliner crashed (intentionally?) just a few days before on the other side of the planet, despite the code being completed and loaded into the game already.

These same complainers made Anet issue a public apology, and Anet hasn't done a in-game April Fools joke since.

    "Greatest Community" indeed.

I agree, I wish some of the patch notes became a reality.
