  1. @"Kuma.1503" You know very well, this is not how we do things here anymore, those abilities are actually too strong right now and need to be toned down in reality, I mean think of the new players that'll stand in the lava font and nearly die to burning if it burns per pulse, burning per pulse is REALLY OP. :'(
  2. > @"lare.5129" said: > this is mmo game. Wintrade is normal thing as for me. > What action u wait? Anet should spy people??? :kekw: I don't even have to go no detail about why this comment proves the game mode has fallen for grace, and only proceeds to get more rotten as time goes on. @"Ryan.9387" Pretty much. Anet made their choice on their stance about this years ago, so i don't know why anyone is expecting different now. The people that advocated for the players doing this made their bed, now they're laying in it.

I used to play PvP in a game called Guild Wars 2, but its something else now. > Overwatch before, but what happened to that game isn't too dissimilar to what happened to this one. > Paladins tried to do the same thing at one point, but completely undid their massive patch because most people didn't like having all the fun stripped from the game for some balance farce. > > Guess which one I play the most now When it comes to other games It's really weird to also see WoW having a better pvp state than gw2, it's like they swapped places, and GW2 is having it's own BFA disaster(probably worse) right now in all aspects. Current gw2 pvp is all about stripping down the game options,, whack-a-mole nerfing and not really fixing any root of problems. At least back then before the poorly devised Febuary patch, there were plenty of avenues for classes and builds to go by, someone running heavy boons or heavy stability? Spellbreaker and Necro variants were a go to. Too many conditions, bring group supports like warriors or guardians with Soldier runes and shouts traited warhorn etc so on and so forth. DPS specs were also threatening if you make critical missteps, and not to mention DPS themselves would have to be very proactive, as they themselves could easily explode. I can't in my right mind even recommend friends to play Gw2 for pvp because it's in such a awful state.
  4. Considering how Anet felt they needed to remove my first post for strong criticism. I'll repost why not both :sunglasses:
  5. Do you smell that? It smells like removing options from the game, because something is strong right now. No doubt when you remove that something, something else is going to be too strong. You heard them anet, remove more options!

But I'm sure you get the point though. Twist of Fate is just an example. You're right about it's cooldown, but the cooldown was not really important to the point I was making. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Yes CD is very important. If u havent noticed, there is no build with more than one long cd skill. > > > > > > > > > > If every skill gives negative effect on u, its the same as if no one skill gives negative. I know its fantasy game but there is no logic u should get penalty for using stunbreak or evading an attack. Penalty is for wasting long cd skill and dying cuz u cant use it. > > > > > > > > Fantasy game yet in real life i can survive a lot longer weapon attacks than my thief does > > > > > > Thief has enough sustain, if u are facetanking damage, cant cleanse or dodge then blame your skills, not class. > > > > I said in a previous post: im not gonna name classes because i dont believe in feeding trolls.Well i f....d up. my bad. > > > > > > You're playing a high-skill cap class that also happens to be squishy when they're not careful but is given the toolset to be very cautious. You knew exactly what you were in for when you give a comment like that. You're also playing a class almost nobody in PvP likes because they've been prevalent since just about the beginning of time because of their mobility and ability to +1, even when people supposedly call them "bad" on the forums. How bad the class must be to remain a staple. It's a high skill cap class with low reward output. It may not have been along the lines of Fresh Air ele skill cap, but people that were good can punish poor plays severely. The only reason why Theif was ever prevalent/staple in PvP is because of mobility, and its role in decapping, +1 shouldn't even be considered because that's pretty much tied in with mobility. Not to mention Any class can +1.
  7. > @"Shieldbash.5304" said: > I came back because Shadowlands is awful and like being competitive without worrying about gear disparities. Here Necromancers, Revenants, Mesmers, Guardians all just destroying people, absorbing massive damage, soaking it up, siphoning enough life back to mitigate any damage, massive AOE ground burns, CC, Torment stacking.... > > It's too much! Classes should be as balanced as possible with Counter Classes, right now these specs are broken! It's not good for the game, its poor design and not good for pvp. Every match is some MEME spec garbage team using OP classes and Specs to circumvent actually playing the game competitively. > > I play Range, not Soulbeast or Druid.... I have those available I like playing Ranger, Ranger right now is awful in comparison to these classes, unless I hide in the bushes and run away I will be slaughtered. Why even allow us NON MEME specs the ability to que, so we can be Fodder? > > There needs to be some Nerfs and sooner rather than later! Just a FYI Gw2 is in a BFA like state(maybe even much worse) regarding pvp balancing direction. I've been playing SL pvp over GW2 mainly nowadays. Even though it's playing with a inferior/different combat system, it certainly in a better state than Gw2 atm, but I don't ever want to hear someone on here use WoW as an outlet for good competative gameplay . Fun fact if you're climbing their ranked stuff (not tournament) on top of gear advantage people run pvp specific addons, that keep track of all CDs used, and trinket(stunbreak), and even some that kinda just play the game for them. For gw2 to get back on the right track(even though it's pretty much in a irrecoverable state), Anet would have to return to buffing classes across the board, and actually having some insightful/in-depth care of every class they balance/tune. Though frankly that's never going to happen and you're heading for a train wreck anyways once they release the new E-specs, since we're only going for nerfs. Then people are going to be like "OMG WTF, THESE SPECS ARE SO BUSTED?" :+1:
  8. > @"Paradoxoglanis.1904" said: > Fire weaver is strong yes, but there are only 2 ways they should be able to kill you. 1 is if you blindly attack them and facetank their aoe. 2 is if they bait your cds and then cc burst you. Its a side noder build, they can hold a node but are easy to kite and they have their weaknesses in 1v1s. In this day and age of Gw2, it's way too much to ask to stop blindly attacking and adapt, because the game should be about fun, and it's not fun when something can kill you. Nerf it. That's the creed of gw2 balancing, always nerf because that's the only way to do things in this game. obviously the game is much more healthier this way :+1:
  9. Nerf it, I don't care what it is, but it killed me/annoys me, it's obviously too strong....you know what nerf everything again. Everything is too strong still. damage is too high still. also remove more runes and amulets from the game pls, we don't need that many. Also did I mention nerf thief?
  10. > @"Stand The Wall.6987" said: > everyone is so doom and gloom about the megapatch, but it was the lack of follow up that was the suicide move. the one shot meta was garbage and anyone who wants to return to it probably relied on cheap builds. sustain meta isn't much better but at least noobs can't roll some brain dead build and gank you with zero brain effort. now they run around and deal no damage, better then them getting kills imo. It was naïve to think Anet would follow up appropriately given their track record for good execution and delivery. Even more so with how much they care and support the PvP activity side of the game. Everyone who knows Anet well, already knew it was going to be bad and there were going to be issues. Lazy blanket changes is what we got instead of deep dive class/spec tuning, and you can't tell me otherwise or disprove it when there's an entire traitline and traits that were broken intentionally with 5 minute ICDs that have a sticky note with a "will fix later" from over a year ago. Funny thing talking about noobs, one in a bunker build/meta can make a bunch of severe mistakes and still be alive. Though a noob in a burst build/meta, they'll kill people easier , but crumbles under pressure and panic because all s/he knows is how to execute damage, and they'll make some really bad mistakes good players can capitalize on. Punishing players for making critical errors/mistakes is a rewarding factor of good pvp, especially in a game with fluid action combat like Gw2's.
  11. > @"UN Owen.2794" said: > That's it. That's the thread. People been waiting/telling you stuff for 3 weeks but let's be honest nothing is coming around :) I don't know why anyone thought any different. Though they'll eventually ruin their game more, don't you worry, it's coming for sure. O-b
  12. That's not very nice, trying to make a plat exclusive club so you can keep all the good may mays to yourself :
  13. Take it from someone who used to live and breath the game, and has 23k hours in total with it( before you know, stopped playing as much.) It was better in February. Anyone who has been with the game for a long time could see the writing on the wall before they implemented the February patch, with their preview. What baffles me still is people bought into their whole faster balance patch promise, despite their track record, and in wake of some bad changes, with the thought process of, "oh they'll fix it quickly, they said they would." Those changes in February could've been great if they actually did a deep dive of every spec they were balancing, and not a lazy sweeping blanket change.
  14. Do it, the game as far as pvp goes is spiraling down into a irrecoverable state of whack-a-mole nerfing, give the mob what they want so they can move onto the next set of things to whine nerf about.
  15. No remove more, we only need one rune and one amulet. There's enough variety with sigil choices and that's all you need :astonished:
