Hm. Is sending him the gold for it a viable option for you? If it's not, then maybe you could see about ordering one of the gem cards from Amazon and giving him the code? The drawback to that option is you'll have to wait for Amazon to ship it to you.

It was just in the chat. They did the outfit giveaway, a giveaway for two fan merch sites, and then a giveaway for the music service that'll have their soundtracks.

I thought he said they'd be coming out next week anyway, after PAX.

No, your friend isn't entitled to be upset that a business changed their price without notice. However, your friend DOES probably have a good chance at getting a refund if they contact support ASAP.

You'll need to submit a support ticket and ask if it can be exchanged.

The only story dungeon they actually converted to a solo instance is Arah story. The rest are all still the same story-level difficulty (which means they can be fairly easily done solo if someone plays well enough and has decent gear).

The achievement triggers when you get the Anniversary Achievement Box. Did you already get the gift on another character? You only get that big box once per account.

Yup, I'm having the same problem.

I miss 130 ping.

Changing to any server will almost always cost gems, regardless of whether you're moving from an EU server to US, US to EU, or just moving within the same region.

As for the dyes, yes, you get one of the dyes from the kits rather than the kit itself. My son's account got the Daybreak dye (from the Solar and Lunar dye set) from his free bond item.

I would be very surprised if this ends up being a permanent thing.

They're giving away "some" codes via the stream. That doesn't mean that everyone who attends the stream event will get one. Even if they had the stream at a time convenient for you, there is absolutely no guarantee you'd be one of the ones who got a code.

Agreed. I'd actually forgotten about that whole bit, but I definitely remember it now.

The renown heart in Bloodtide Coast with all the sick and dying quaggans. That one always felt awful to me since the player is pretty much unable to help the quaggans. I hated the feeling I'd get when the NPC wouldn't get to one of the quaggans in time, resulting in me having to burn the body or the poor thing turning into a zombie quaggan that I then have to put down.

Turns out this festival promotes different stat sets and runes. I really dont like how this content is gated behind legendary runes, sigils and armor.
>
> So far I clear all content together with other players, we dont really talk but we have a high level of coordination which allows us to kill a boss with a strong focus on auto attacks. But for some reason I have to do this solo? Meanwhile im getting bullied by the people below me that are allowed to coordinate and kill bosses together.
>
The legendary upgrades introduced along with this festival are not tied to the festival content in any way. You do not need legendary runes, sigils, or armor (or weapons, for that matter) to defeat any boss in the gauntlet. I certainly don't have legendary runes, sigils, and armor, and I've beaten all of the bosses except for the newest special ones.
As for your second point, the gauntlet is meant to be a solo challenge. You are not required to do it, but it can be fun to challenge yourself and learn to adjust your build/play style to defeat different encounters. Also, how are you being bullied?

Just a quick note: The thread linked above is for sharing the current gem store sales/items returning. The gem store request/suggestions thread is: https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/348/gemstore-requests-new-items-items-offered-again/p63

I think you might be thinking of Invasions/Faction Assaults rather than Expeditions. Expeditions the three-person instanced content that's basically just a mini dungeon with quest objectives. World Quests are open-world in WoW and are basically the same as events and renown hearts in GW2. Invasions are just World Quests that are changed to fit the current assault/invasion theme (such as Horde invading the Alliance or the Legion invading Azeroth in Legion).

They're account upgrades, so no, they can't be gifted. And they don't usually announce which items will definitely be going on sale ahead of time.

Gaile doesn't work for Anet anymore. And yes, all you can do is wait for support to get to your ticket. Hopefully they'll get to it soon.

Congrats on getting your Skyscale! I was sooooooo excited when I finally finished mine, too.

The target audience for WoW Classic are generally not the same players who go for a game like GW2.

I say "By Ogden's hammer, what savings!" when I see a good sale.
Why H.P. Lovecraft?

So, you hear an employee say there will be Lovecraftian elements, and you immediately jump to "Cthulhu is going to be in the game and be a major enemy." Just what is going on inside your mind at this point?
There are already Lovecraft elements in pretty much every game franchise (and many film and literature pieces, as well), including in GW2 (and likely back in GW1). Taking inspiration from that style does not mean they'll be throwing a sanity-sucking, deep sea dwelling squid at us.
