  1. It does end, and you can definitely win. You just need to use the drinking skills properly. Generally, I just alternate 1 and 2 (sometimes I just use 1 over and over) until my health is a bit below half. Then, I use 5 (the belch) to poison the opponent. Use 3 when you get super low on health, and just keep it up until they're out. The wiki has a pretty good guide, too.

Edit: And remember that the belch does the most damage when your own health is low.

  2. I do enjoy the mounts, but I still don't think GW2 needed to add mounts. My two alt accounts are core-only, so I frequently play without the mounts. Obviously, getting through PoF and the Living World 4 maps would be very difficult if not nearly impossible without mounts, but that's just because they were made to use mounts.

    > It's true that WoW's population is shrinking with each year but you're making it sound as if WoW is really that bad at the moment. BfA had relatively a good launch and a better content compared to Legion and WoD and now they just released 8.2 which has a new zones, a good raid, an intresting plot and more... FFXIV on the other hand will release Shadowbringers very soon and will have new jobs, races and tons of content and gameplay improvements.

BFA's launch was relatively good, but the general consensus I've seen (and experienced) is that it is nowhere near the level of Legion in quality. The new Azshara stuff might be good, but the overall expansion experience has been pretty bad and disappointing.

Yeah, I'd definitely submit a ticket and ask if you could get the Bioluminescent mini back. Since it was an accident that didn't result in you getting a skin you didn't already have, I'd think support would be understanding.

  5. Raptor - **Reptar**. Because I still love Reptar from Rugrats.

Springer - **Pascal**. Named after Pascal the chameleon in the movie Tangled. I use the cute gecko skin for my Springer.

Skimmer - **Pancake**. Named because he's flat like a pancake, and I was hungry.

Jackal - **Oy**. Named after the Billybumbler Oy in the Dark Tower series.

Griffon - **Lucy**, as in "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" (I use one of the super sparkly skins)

Roller Beetle - **Ringo**. Named after Ringo Starr of The Beatles.

Skyscale - **Rhaenya**. Named because I wanted a Targaryen-esque name for my baby skyscale.

Again, we have achievements such as "(Annual) Dragon Bash Feats," "(Annual) Going the Distance," "(Annual) Color the Sky." They wouldn't have bothered to put in the Feats achievement category and fill it with Annual achievements if it weren't going to be an annual festival.

It's very heavily implied, if not directly stated, that this will be an annual festival. There are even Dragon Bash achievements with "Annual" in the name, just as they've done for Wintersday and Halloween and the other annual festivals.

No, that shouldn't happen, in my opinion. You don't always know the quality of character of the people you're playing with. You shouldn't be forced to keep Random Person if he/she starts ranting and raving at others, saying awful things, goes afk for the entire Fractal, tries to troll the run, etc. And the rest of the group shouldn't have to completely reset their progress just because Random Person was a jerk and got kicked.

The character name seems to be the most common reason for failed GW1 login attempts.

I hate that some Scrooge ruined it for you. But I hope you might decide to give it another go (either this year or another year). It really has been a fun tradition for me and for my son over the past couple of years.

    > > Did you read me? "**Any random squad can complete it.**", means ANY, any comp, any class, as I just did it with 0 deaths with a random "All welcome" squad on lfg.

    > I heard the same claim about raids as well, so let me be a bit suspicious of it. Especially since quite a number of friends tried that already and came back without being able to finish it.

    >

I joined a random squad earlier, and we got it done with just one wipe. It's nowhere near the normal raid difficulty level. The hardest part is jumping into it without knowing what to expect. Our group wiped once, reset, and then got it done without any deaths the second time because we knew what was coming then (and we even had to do most of it with just 9 people since we had a DC during it).

  13. This is how it's been since the first Wintersday with this activity, I thought. The G/Sol key has always been the 6. And yeah, it was a bit annoying to get used to, but it feels natural to me by now. As was mentioned above, I generally just treat it like I'm playing an actual piano, with 1-4 being my left hand fingers and 6-9 being my right hand fingers.
