Vabbi. While the whole Branded side can be maddening at first, I just can't help but love Vabbi. There's so many throwbacks to GW1 in all of PoF, but Vabbi really sends me on walks down memory lane. The story missions that take place there are some of my favorites in the expansion. The Garden of Seborhin, with its throwbacks to the GW1 mission that took place there, is one of my favorite areas of the entire game. Plus, the beginning and end of the griffon chain happens there, resulting in some neat lore related to what happened to one of my favorite GW1 characters.

You can sort the posts on a reddit topic by date and time (newest to oldest or oldest to newest), which can help. It's still a pain to read as all the comments are coming in, though.

Usually, someone (usually a bot account on reddit) will post a link that compiles links to all of the questions that receive dev responses. This saves you from having to open each comment tree.

The expansion has been out for two weeks. Odds are that this gem store item was in development a good while before its release this week and a good while before PoF was released. I doubt that anyone is panicking here.

After finishing up the various steps for getting my new, shiny griffon mount, I still say the price is fair. As others have said, you don't have to pay a lump sum of 250 gold right away; you can split it up into 25g increments whenever you can/want to spare the gold. Then you can farm up the next 25g, while doing other things you enjoy doing in-game.

I agree. I love the Canid appearance.

The Elonian and Spearmarshal sets look pretty dervish-like in my opinion, the light set in particular. And that new light armor hood (from the Funerary set) with the broken mask attached, too.

What Loboling said. Joining a group or squad doesn't automatically place you on their instance of the map. If you join a squad and see everyone else's name square is empty, then you're just on a different instance of the map and need to join them via the method Loboling stated above.

The entire Mastery system was introduced with HoT. For me, anyway, it makes sense that it requires a paid account (and especially at least one of the expansions) to access the perks of the full game, especially the Mastery system and other thing tied to each expac.

No, I'm happy with vets. The tendency for random mobs to happen by and join in on attacking you makes the vet fights difficult enough as is. :p

It's a weird bug that happens from time to time. Usually, a simple relog fixes it.

I was in Desert Highlands for two hours last night, and the Second Spear escort came up at least twice during that time. The timing of it seems to vary, though. Dulfy's guide about it says that the Second Spear escort event happens 20 minutes after the Makali Outpost defense event (the one where the Awakened attack the outpost in waves, ending in a champ boss) ends. When I was camping the event a few days ago, it was nearly an hour between the defense event ending and the escort beginning.

Click on a person's name to go to their profile page. On that page there will be a little "Message" link to the left of their profile picture.

I definitely want a different way to keep our lore books, but I don't want it to be a new tab in the hero panel. I'd prefer a bookshelf or "library" in our home instances.

It's still there for me. Keep in mind your character has to have completed the HoT storyline to see it.

I'm pretty sure that an infinity symbol appears below the empty heart icon if you've already completed that heart quest once. If you haven't completed it, then it just has the usual empty heart icon.

Definitely send that to Anet, then.

Oh, I'm well aware of that. But I skipped through most of the third and fourth zones to go straight to Vabbi (for silly reasons), so I didn't have the skimmer when I was first making my way around there. Once I came back with the skimmer, I realized how silly it was to go to that place before getting the skimmer.

I've died a fair few times trying to reach places (especially in the Branded area of Vabbi). But I can't say it's happened any more than it happened in HoT or even Orr, back when I was still leveling. It really isn't that bad.

This isn't true for all of them. I unlocked the Mordant Brazier recipe on my necro, and I was able to access it on my thief (who is my Huntsman crafter).

Or by replaying the chapter on the character that already did it.

Hopefully, we'll see a change in this, allowing us to just go right up to the instance to replay it. But, until then: Start the chapter, and just follow it until you're told to go to the instance. It'll just send you to talk to people in the areas around the heart tasks, which doesn't take TOO long.

What Greymantle said. I had to go through and do all the "talk to all these people" bit, and then I was able to do the instance.
