Decapitate recharges instantly if it hits fwiw: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Decapitate The time it took to down OP was most likely 2s since he ate Decapitate and a full Arc Divider. The berserker did 16,023 damage in that time which is a great deal for any guardian to eat, and seeing as there are no strikes back in the combat log prior to the downed skill the OP was down and the berserker was kitting before swapping back to axe to finish the downed guardian. You can split hairs and consider the downed time for the total amount, but the time to down OP looks less than 5s to me considering Berserk Mode gives quickness, but what do I know I right?
  2. If that were the case charr would have extra ferocity, asura condition damage, and sylvari healing power.
  3. If you hoard things for years without spending them then of course you have numerous stacks lol. You'd have more from the other game modes though which is the point of this conversation. Also you need clovers for any sort of legendary gear you may want.

I mean, the trap trait increase trap's condi duration by 60% and reduce their CD by 20%. If you add alacrity on top of it, your viper nest end up with a 12 second CD... Light on your feet double the number of poison stack you inflict while flanking your target (making it to up to 10 poison stack per foe hit and you can hit up to 5 foes for a maximum of 50 poison stacks applied) and, with alacrity again, it's on a 5 second CD. for example. > > > > Maxing the poison output was pretty much my first thought to maximise the lifesteal benefit. > I expect i'll have to take a hit in dps among others things but im fine with that trade off, I don't need the poison to hurt.. i'd be using it as a healing tactic along side regen for max sustain potential. > It's an interesting trait that I hadn't given much thought to in the past.. curious how a Dagger Dagger Ranger may work out.. not sure i've ever even seen a Ranger running duel Daggers before. > No CD on Predators Cunning too so I imagine the combo of Whirling Defence in a Poison Field could end up being a significant heal.. Sword Axe secondary set perhaps. Don't forget vulture stance.
  5. Hey I get to team back up with SBI! w00t. I loved those guys.
  6. > @"Aaron.1294" said: > @"Lan Deathrider.5910" and because of tactics warrior doesn't need support-oriented spec By that logic warrior didn't need Berserker because it has Strength and Arms. The existence of Tactics is in no way justification for not having a support espec.

That strength line of traits is stapled to every warrior build FYI. Defense was gutted with 300s cd traits and isn't worth taking over Tactics now which is why warriors don't take it anymore. I am pretty sure every non Bubblebot Spellbreaker takes MBT, but then that also got gutted. Warrior sustain got hit extremely hard last year and only recently did they get some of it back. All this is from a Competitve play perspective mind you.

Durability Runes, Protective Ward, and Protect me. The concentration boost from Nature Magic and a concentration utility or food would allow you to more or less perma maintain Protection, especially with use of Heal as One. Beyond that make use of GS blocks and interrupts to fill the gap along with proper dodging.
  9. It also helps if you have a source of movement speed. But, yeah just memorize where things are and lead your throws in the event he is moving. Took me a few tries myself, but good luck. Other than that try other Masteries via Achievements.

If they not add it, 60% players must use addon... When lot of people using this, why not rework in game? I also agree, addons like Tekkit tacco, shouldnt be implemented but radial mount, is good way to improve game. You're not wrong, but the open source community wouldn't let something like Radial die. Some other person would pick it up if the maker of it gave up on it.
  12. Warrior and Necro have always been my preferred classes no matter the MMO in question. While Warrior is my main in GW and GW2, my necro is always my second most played class. I actually prefer to WvW more on my Necro as a Reaper to be honest. Guardian is my next favorite, though I've put him aside for a while. Burn DH is so OP right now that I felt guilty playing it. You would think that my Reaper and DH would have problems with Rangers, but I find that I am able to kill them easily with the builds I run on those classes. Firebrand and Scourge feel too weird to me so I don't touch those especs. Ele I want to like but I don't feel like giving myself carpel tunnel. Mesmer is okay, just not my jam. Ranger is fine, I do like it, I just wish there was an option to never have a pet out, Soulbeast kind of does that, but not fully. I want an espec with absolutely no pet at all. Rev I am still getting used to and I see its potential, I just prefer Warrior and Necro more. Engineer I am still getting used to, and while Holo is supposed to be omg OP, I find that I like Scrapper the most of the Engineer options. My Scrapper may very well become a staple in my WvW stable.
  13. > @"FrownyClown.8402" said: > High hp ranger would be fine but they would need to reduce some damage and access to regen and protection You can perma maintain protection on ranger right now as it is, so unless you have boon removal it is a pseudo Heavy armor medium HP class. That in and of itself needs to be nerfed at this moment. But yeah, if Ranger got the High HP then things like Rapid Fire, Maul, and Worldly Impact would have to be nerfed along with reducing several boon uptimes that the class has.
  14. Grenade nerfs were justified  But to be honest you can fill this thread with about 9001 nerfs that were uncalled for and should just be reverted.

It's more common to see roaming thieves **_(dash d/p daredevils specifically) _**to be cocky and just ooc, stack on stealth, then come right back to anyone with their back turned and run away again when they realize they're still in hot water. > > The part nobody else ****ing understands. > > It's not thief. It's D/P Daredevil. > All these people asking for nerfs should go play any other thief build. Anything besides D/P DrD pretty much gets splattered if it botches an engage and deals no damage except for maybe S/P into relatively bad foes who don't know how to punish it or are running bad builds. > > Thief has been balanced around D/P Daredevil existing because it's the worst offender of unhealthy designs, and ANet absolutely refuses to rework it because it'd require a huge class rework and I know they're too lazy to do so. > > When DE started eclipsing its bad design it actually got nipped in the bud and reworked properly. Dwayna help the poor thieves I've Bull's Charged with no Stunbreaks to recover from it... But there is a point to be made here. If D/P DD is the big problem then is it the D/P part or is it the DD part? I suspect it is the E-Spec driving the problem not the weapon spec. Not that the weapon spec itself isn't a problem, but is it as much a problem on Core or DE? No, and that is because of the DD dodge being a leap. Remove the leap finisher from the dodge and you may see DD become very balanced very quickly. Not that there are other things that could be done, but I suspect that would go a long ways by itself.
  16. Just got to say I just had a moment where the thief got away. Not even mad. Yeah I outplayed them on my core warrior with Axe/Axe+Rifle, but they weren't the worst thief I've fought, but not the best either. They made the right call to disengage and run. I was a bit mad though that my T3 killshot only did 5.5k but then I wasn't running full glass so /shrug. Also not mad because I was finishing my monument daily when they interrupted me and I got to finish it when they ran  In all seriousness all you lose out on is the trivial amount of WXP, track progress on a two achievement tracks, and possible a loot bag. If the thief runs, then you won the fight take the win for what it is folks. Edit: People do need to accept the fact that without some of these escape tactics most thieves would die very quickly 1v1. They are not built to trade blows on equal footing with some of the other classes. They are meant to shadowstep in and out and use blinds and interrupts to cover themselves. Like in my fight just now, if the thief had one fewer stealth, or didn't have sleight of hand to interrupt one of my volleys then, they would have taken a dirt nap. That or if warrior rifle didn't do bbgun levels of damage on 4/6 skills...
  17. What is left of the Deldrimor Dwarves tell tales of Norn blessed by the spirits of the wild with facial follicles so powerful that not even the power of the Great Dwarf can contain their lustrous mustaches, grown as if to defy the will of Gods, Dwarven and Human alike. It is hard to tell if it is awe or fear in their stony voices, but one thing is certain... when they speak of the Ebonstache it is always for respect of these Norn of Legend. They say that if one were to weave the Ebonstache hairs into a whip that it could cleave the mightiest Elder Dragon in two, but sadly these hairs defiantly remain in place, as if bound by wax stronger than the finest Deldrimor steel, never to fall out or to be plucked. They even say that no blade can trim the mighty Ebonstache, that it is only by the mighty will of the Norn that bare them that stops their growth.
  18. I'm just going to say, due to how manly that stache is with the infusion that it is now meta. META. It would be a crime to fix it.
  19. > @"Jagblade.4627" said: > Please no, half of warrior's main builds are already support builds like banner slaves. > > > @"Lan Deathrider.5910" said: > > Yes, but with Pistols, or a land spear. Keep you staff. > > Also please no. Don't turn P/P into a support build if we get it. Warriors needs a viable ranged DPS build. The rifle has been nerfed into the ground and the bows while not quite as useless are still pretty useless. Nothing keeping the weapon bar from being DPS. Support can come from E-Spec mechanic, utilities, and traits.
  20. > @"Super Hayes.6890" said: > > @"felix.2386" said: > > tbh i'd rather warrior get third weapon slot instead of new weapon, so perhaps warrior can finally use it's large pool of weapon selection instead of only using 2 out of 20 > > Interesting idea. I think that could be fun. could take a rifle or longbow along with your GS+X/Shield sets.
  21. I've posted two sample e-specs on the warrior forum a while ago for a Spear and a Pistol/Pistol support spec and frankly I'd be happy with either. My interpretation of either as support was AoE debilitating conditions like weakness and/or poison and cripple with a focus on creating fields to blast on its own for enhanced effects via the traitline. That and I suggested 'Tactical' Bursts that utilized the OH weapon (or just a second burst for 2Handers) with only 2 adrenaline bars with only 10 adrenaline spent per use in both examples, things like some extra CC or extra Boons for the party depending on the weapon. Grant it my view of land spear is admittedly a faster GS with a long range immob, a long range leap, and AoE weakness on the AA chain, but the actual damage numbers can be lowered so as not to become strictly better than GS. It would be the kind of weapon that would work best with Power-Expertise-Ferocity-Precision gear which does not currently exist, but I hope does in EoD for several unrelated warrior builds I have stored away in the event that stat combo becomes available.
  22. Being as all three of those classes can be slippery with the right build I think the next question to ask is which ones can be tanky right now. Both Ranger and Engineer can be built very tanky, especially with certain E-Specs. The same cannot be said for Thief. Slippery yes, but tanky no. If I had to rank them by the Health pool they should all have based on that it would be. Engi - Low HP, but with Scrapper's Vitality penalty removed. Would go pretty far in balancing Holo as well as a bonus. Ranger - High HP, but a lot of the boons via traits would need to be scaled back. Thief - Medium HP.
  23. The Seraph generally all have guardian vibes fwiw. We have two heavy classes with staff as a weapon, but none with pistols. So are these pistol heavy armor npcs doing guardian or revenant type skills or are they doing general pew-pew skills? That right there is your set of clues to look for if the npcs are what you all are basing your predictions on.
  24. > @"Aaron.1294" said: > Warrior already have support spec - it's called spellbreaker > More of a control/dps. The support from the meta spellbreaker builds comes from Tactics, boon removal/denial itself is a form of control. Berserker is the Damage spec. There is no true 'support' espec for warrior, though when we get it it would be support with some dps traits. The means of the support depends on how they build it and could very well be an enjoyable experience. Something that procs off of your bursts for instance, or something more tactical like laying down fields and blasting them for enhanced effects rather than press utility button grant AoE support.
