Ardyth.9286
I'm trying to make a very easy jump up a very small (20 ft) cliff from level ground, but my springer just jumps straight up and down, not forward. I have the High Vault mastery, so there is no reason why this isn't working. Any ideas?
DeanBB.4268
Obvious question....but you are pushing forward when you jump? If yes, then is it a lag-thing? Does it work elsewhere?
NitricRose.1863
You have to hold down the W key while jumping. In some cases, when the springer is close to a cliff, you will need to wait before holding the W key down, otherwise the spring will run into the cliff wall early. Hesione.9412
Is there an invisible barrier? That will prevent you doing anything other than jumping straight up.

To @"Ardyth.9286" : There are places where it looks like you can reach or jump, but it is cut off (invisible wall). Could you make screenshot of where you try to jump? Khisanth.2948
There are also some ledges with annoying bit sticking out such that if you are standing too close to the wall when you start the jump, you will bump your head on that lip instead. Atomos.7593
I haven't encountered this issue so far. It has worked for me every time. Try moving in another direction while jumping. If you can, but only can't move forward then it is probably an invisible wall blocking you from moving forward.
Ardyth.9286
There must be an invisible barrier. Frustrating....A POI appears to be on top of the cliff, but maybe it isn't.

Frustrating....A POI appears to be on top of the cliff, but maybe it isn't. I have encountered at least one invisible wall when trying to get to a POI/vista that was immediately above me. I was on my skyscale, so I did the "move sideways and keep trying to go forward" approach. The invisible wall ended at the point the non-mounted player would be expected to start the climb towards the goal. I could use my skyscale there, and managed to move from that spot, to the goal, on my skyscale. There was literally a thin invisible wall, as I could move behind it with my mount. Khisanth.2948
There is currently a bug that removes the arrows indicating if stuff are above or below you so that PoI could be in either direction.

I was wondering where that disappeared to.
Danikat.8537
If you tell us which POI it is (Which map and the general location) we can help you figure out how to reach it.
Ardyth.9286
I left to do other things and now I don't remember which one it was. If I come across it again, I'll post the location.
Deedrick.4372
If you have the content locator enabled, the mini map will not show up or down, but your locator will.
Ardyth.9286
After several similar experiences, I realized that if I can't get to a POI on top of a cliff because I'm blocked, it must be below ground. Using this new-found understanding, I've been able to find my "missing" POIs.

Deedrick.4372
It's the compass in the corner. If you alter the settings, you can see map points only, instead of events and story.
