(Suggestion) New and Improved Racial Skills

Recommended Posts

**Charr Mount:**

Asura players can mount any charr player, without their permission, of course. This gives the asura full control over movement, jumping, and dodging. The charr still has full control over any other abilities, including mounts.

**Asura Toss:**

Norn Players can pick up and throw any asura player, with their permission, of course. This turns the asura into a reflectable but unblockable projectile that creates an aoe effect on impact. While in the air, the asura has access to special skills to do tricks and control their impact aoe effect. 1500 range.

**Sylvari Torch:**

Charr players can pull out a flamethrower and light on fire up to 10 sylvari in a cone, without their permission, of course. This applies ticking burn damage, but also creates an aoe around each sylvari that burns enemies.

Humans don't get any cuz they're basic and boring.

why should a norn need the permission of an asura? Just grab them, done.

Also... you might want to talk to some people about the nature of burning wood... (hint: it is even considered a flame resistant material.. it does not burn THAT well). Now fur and flesh on the other hand..

Of course, the sylvari racial ability would be to make copies of other players...

and the human racial ability? Complain and cry about their tough luck until everybody else falls into stupor.

It's possible, but the consequences may be unpleasant for the norn. They could include, but not limited to, incineration, combustion, disintegration, sublimation, or a rapid change in the norn's state of matter.

Since the Mordrem incident in Charr territory, they have developed special technology for instantly burning large amounts of live wood. It involves using high pressure to embed flammable oil under the bark. It could work on less armored members of the animal kingdom, but this oil is optimal against plant cells and not skin. Still a good way to shave a Charr though, if it backfires.

I think they'd need Mordremoth's help for that, but he had a mental breakdown and died

**Worship**

A human god (that they chose at character creation) randomly appears in front of the human. The character kneels and begins to worship the god, unable to move or do anything else. The only way to stop it is if an enemy deals enough damage to the god, at which point the god gets feared and runs away. This can be exploited if a more intelligent race uses a god tonic to fool all humans around.

I think this reflects the lore accurately

nah, asura have shown no fighting prowess or speedy movement in any way. While norn are hardy people. So while the asura might squirm, curse and maybe fart out some minor, tickling magic, the norn should be unimpressed and throw it. Done.

Charr on the other hand are quite... belligerent. Any asura trying to use one as mount would certainly end as food.

That reminds me - any pointers to the asuran nursery? That all-you-can-eat buffet needs some serious raiding.

Norn are quite peaceful, unless they see a powerful looking opponent. Asura are almost as frequently underestimated as skritt. Their other recial skills can easily deal with a big stumpy overly playful Norn. Norn are especially vulnerable to being confused by Pain Inverter which will likely cause them to attempt to throw their own foot. Then just pop a Technobabble and a Radiation Field in the face to daze and weaken them.

Many have tried, just to lose their tails and ears. mmm roasted charr tails, making me hungry.

Asura are not usually raised in large groups. They are often put right into the think of things where they begin helping their crewe with less hazardous chores, if there are any. They are under the supervision of guard golems or other Asura who are well equipped to defend and mold the little ones into next generation geniuses. If you manage to catch one that got a little too adventurous, then that's just natural selection. However, I do know a buffet where they have fresh and roasted charr tails.

Asuran golems elite skill could have ameaning on WvW, they could allow usage of supply to repair Siege golems :expressionless:

Examples from the instant theorycraft bag:

Asurans:

1st skills duration needs to be remove, skills would enter in CD when dismisses wor when destroyed.

Summon power suit that shields user with a energy shield- when used with siege nearby will link and empower it, will work on omega golems shields and shield gens, make the shield last 2 more sec. / 20%-30% less damage while player is inside the golem.

D-Series golem, this golem will help with more supply (+5) and will make player have an increase chance of salvage supply when using it, can be used to target friendly golem to repair it.

7-series golem, this golem while atacking anemy siege will make player receive supply, golem has 50% sturdiness against siege.

Norns:

Wolf form would help searching for treasuse chest on SW... lol, and find stealth toons (mesmer swipes anyone?????).

Snow Leopard, good stats boost on Cold eviroments maps (chilling fog would boost it lol).

Raven, evasion against aoe fields, fly to structure (owned/guild) even is WP is contested xD, same on PVE.

Bear, boost damage against siege and golems from asurans, bonus damage against champions.

Charr's:

Are actually cool racial skills, still i think we need a charrpanzer buildable with siege on WvW(guild that owns keep, get'sallows to build 1 charrpanzer where it can also call one for pve) that can be only used by charrs altough:

Artilery barrage racial skill would also get a damage and condition bonus whenever a charrpanzer is on 2500-5000(treb) range.

Humans:

All racial skill make Logan run back to the Queen :\ in adition.

Reaper of Grent, for next 3sec gain a boost on condi damage, but reduces condi duration (work like a condi spike preparation), damage sufered will increase 20%, so basicly a frienzy for condi???~

Hounds of Balthy, well balthy got punched in the face i dont see why he will keep sending his dogs to ally with the player, change skill for Rebirth and make the usage of the hybrid system resurrection that i talked in some other thread about the no downstate.

Avatar of melandru, kinda feels weird player becoming a tree, this would be better suited for silvary player.

Pray to dwayna, another support rez skill faster but easy to get interrupted and would need player to be on target while target is in downed state, if used in players that are fully dead skills would take like 4mins CD, contraty to rebirth that could be used in range and wouldhave no penalty, but way way slower on downed allies.

Silvary:

Add Avatar of melandru to silvary

Druid spirit, looks good, but needs more duration if used in a Druid.

Summon Sylvan Hound, looks but could also reveal stealth targets, on pve would have condi damage boost against flesh targets.

Take root, its OP xD.
