Claw of Jormag needs an update desperately

Especially this event.

I've been doing the event for years, alternating between altruistically flamethrowing paths for as many golems as possible and selfishling aggroing the ledges for extra champ bags... and I still have no idea how many golems are needed or where precisely they need to be, to count. (Sure, the information is out there somewhere; it's just not obvious to me from participating.)

Apparently it is 7. I thought it was 6. Not too bad I guess.

So maybe it's just that simple: show the number of bombs required, show how many have been dropped, and show the drop-off location(s) (the way we have with e.g. dropping salvage for bridge-building in Dragonfall).

That's the main thing for me. I don't really mind the event. It seems to work well enough for me. I'd rather a slightly awkward event that gets done, than an event that requires more coordination than you'll get from the average group and it be annoying to get done (don't mean to imply than an update to the event couldn't still be the former rather than the latter, just that I'm content where it is). But having a better idea of what's going on would do wonders. I'll admit, I understand the general idea of the event, but I really don't know the specifics, and just kinda hope that it works every time.

The one thing that always annoys me though, is when an icicle spawns a step away from a golem. That happens all the time, and makes it really frustrating to escort the golems. I try to escort the golems a lot, but since they die immediately upon touching the icicles, it's really demoralizing when one spawns on top of them and there was nothing you could have done. Unless of course, there's some mechanic I don't know about where you can prevent the icicles from respawning.

This event needs to be something else than an AFK-press-1-fiesta. The Claw could swipe all the people standing on the cliff (all of whom are calling it 'Jormag') periodically and kill them all. The golems could simply fail to reach if they are not protected.

I've pretty much stopped doing this event and Shadow Behemoth since I'm annoyed of constantly being one of maybe 5 people who will actively try to progress the event instead of standing in one spot pressing 1.

It already has things ... I guess you didn't read any of the above.

They already do fail as soon as they touch an icicle and they can only take maybe 2 or 3 hits from the elementals projectile attacks.

The dragons in this game are couch potatoes. :/

I rather meant that the event could actually fail instead of people powering through waiting for the golems to do something. Although the natural reaction from the playerbase would of course be to skip it if that were the case. Path of least resistance and all that. But a revamp with better mechanics and better loot would be nice.
