It's really not that bad if you know it well enough.

 

And while a mesmer can't just portal you to the end, they CAN cut out a big chunk of the middle of it, if you time things right. If you play a mesmer (or thief, now), you can actually do that for yourself. Run through the first part normally, then in the second or third part (your pick which), you light the waypoint then just take a direct path to the next goal. Make a portal, direct path back, grab and light a new torch, and portal over. If there's one part that really slows you down, this is your way to bypass it.

 

(Technically, ANY class can do this, it just takes special items that can be kind of expensive to get/make.)

Find it difficult/ had problem with it too; at first. Till a friend of mine showed me a different pathing along the wall on the left (like in the vid I think). Less hassle compared to climbing up the tree.

Practice and you'll get it. Jumping in the game is a skill like anything else, it takes time to master. Practice practice, you'll learn all the subtleties of jumping and what works for you. And not just on the one puzzle you want to do right now, practice on any you come across; such as all the daily jumping puzzles. Don't take those mesmer portals, jump! Soon enough you'll get better and things will be easier for you. Good luck.

You can also use the TACO overlay if you're struggling. It's not going to make the JP easier per se, but it helps to have a visible trail to follow, and IMO takes a bit of the stress away.

 

But as others have said, it's really an easy JP. Just takes a bit of practice and patience.
