7 months to 2020 Olympic Games

Recommended Posts

In this games there's some kind of races already but, wouldn't be cool to have a chance to somehow be able to start more events like that?

Maybe as event for the olympic games scheduled time (around july 2020) people could have a chance to start mini races around the world with who ever wants to join.

running, swimming, etc wathever could be related to the olympics.

In theory it could be a very fun idea but practically it would be a lot of work and require a lot of new features to be added to make it good and fun.

If Tyria were to get an olympics style event then I'd have high hopes that it would be some kind of competative PvE type of festival.

Easiest way to do this would be by Capitol City.. have each of the main Cities in competition with each other for the duration of the event and let people compete in events representing their favoure Race and City.

Players would need to sign up in the City they want to Represent, While it's not restricted by Race.. a Human can choose to represent Rata Sum if they wish though for obvious reasons it would be more fun to represent your favourite city as it's native race.

As for the events i've a couple of ideas..

Mount race events/adventures.

First, Second and Third place in events win points for their city.

Top 20 best times in adventures are reset daily and gain big points for their chosen city on daily reset.

Dueling/Battle Royale..

Regular Battle Royale events would occur where players can stand in one of the coloured event areas (similar to race starting boxes) and qualify for participation.

When the event starts players get a short 1 min buff representing the colour they started in, players with the same colour are temporary allies making the first phase of the Battle Royal a team vs team and once the buff expired it becomes a total free for all, the last player standing wins points for his/her city.

Dueling arena's also set up for 1v1 skirmishes, winner wins points for their city, progressing achievement also added with a Title if you manage to beat 100 players.

Being downed, disconnecting or leaving/being knocked out of the designated arena counts as a loss.

Winning duels in other cities territoriy than you own grant more points.

Starting Map Hunting Tournaments..

Hunting Rifle/Hunting Bow items are provided granting unique weapon and utility skills for this event.

Players will need to use special weapons/skills to hunt animal creatures in each starting map, points vary depending on the animal killed and the top 3 players with the highest points once the timer expires win points for their city.

Humanoid enemies like bandits don't count, neither do creatures like Centaurs, Dragon Minions or creatures spawned by events such as (Clear the orchard of spiders for Farmer Eda)

Only wild animals such as Skales, Skelks, Moa's, Bears etc and small 1shot creatures like rabbits and bugs that are naturally in the world will grant points.

Fishing Tournaments..

Fishing Rod and Harpoon weapon skills are provided via a Rod/Harpoon items.

Players would need to either use their Rod skills to catch small fish or their Harpoon skills to hunt large fish creatures.

Small fish offer more points but are harder to catch.

Events are held at:

Lake Delevan in Queensdale.

Ascalon Basin in Plains of Ashford

Fisher's Beach Bend in Metrica Province

Ventry Bay in Caledon Forest

Grawlenfjord in Wayfarer Foothills

At the end of the festival all players who participated would win a special, non dyable Racial themed cape back skin based on the City they choose to represent.

This would encourage people to represent different cities each year.

The Winning city also gains a large trophy display in their City and a new Tier 4 Cultural Weapon Vendor appears in the winning city a few weeks after the event selling new Tier 4 Cultural Weapons skins based on the winning cities culture/race.

This vendor stays all year round and relocates only when a new City wins the next festival.

This would require a lot of work to make a reality but it could be a lot of fun.
