Anet please do not forget...

... that there was a lot of skills and effects in wvw that where already weak before this dmg nerf update. There was a real work it seemed on anet end to make the lesser used skills and effects usable but they where never comply balanced and where on the low end of any use. After this update these skills and effects are beyond worthless.

 

Yes this may of been a nerf to every thing but that only works if the game was balanced in the first places it was not so the low end skill got hit much harder then anet may of intended. That what happens when you hit every thing at once in the same way and dont have with in weeks updates to even things out.

I don’t think they would argue with you. It was a reset, not a balance.

 

Hopefully, it will allow them to work towards tweaking some things to allow them to perform more ‘equally’ which, honestly is different to each person.

 

And I am quite aware of their track record with ‘timely’ updates. Still hoping we see a tweak at the 6 week point.

 

I am also hopeful that it started to create a greater split between PvE balance and WvW balance.

how many times have ppl to repeat to ppl like you that this was not supposed to be the final balance patch, this was made to get a new baseline for everything. and that they will balance stuff from that point onwards. if they left weaker skills out of the change, it would have been halfassed and useless.

Then why not just make every one in wvw take 40% less dmg and move on from there? They could of tested in eotm even and see how things played out. But they did not and went though and even on some level find tuned some of the dmg updates (out side of the mass cc dmg nerf and self stab cd nerfs). It feels like they wanted a balance patch from this i am fearfully that they see this as one and think every thing is fine as is and we will not see a real update for 6 months.

They didn’t want a balance patch from this. Full stop.

 

If we don’t see changes in six week, then you won’t be the only one raging.

 

But to rage now, is wasted breath.

Well wasted breath is kind of how things work BUT i still feel the need to point this out. You can call it rage i would call it a reminder to anet that the way things are is not right for your player base.

 

If they did not want a balance patch why did they call it a balance patch?! HEHE now that out of the way it seems because they did not just make all skill lose the same amount of dmg they where aiming to make it a balance patch or they could of just did a gen nerf to dmg taken and get away with a lot of programing. By doing it this way your going to have skills like Thunderclap that is still doing its same dmg even though its a CC skill.

 

Just because you have a decanting view dose not mean your raging its a weird time we live in if every one must have the same views on something or every one must go after them.

That would be a long list and i am not willing to wright a manifesto paper on that. Lets just say any thing that was off meta or what anet was going after before this update. There where a set of updates talking about underused skills but were only updated to be nrifed hard in this update maybe even worst then they where before.

So. Laziness? Then don't expect a different result on ANET's part if that's the case. It's not like you will be the one doing the programming after all...

Maybe relax on calling out all the op/up stuff before the new sets of patches are coming out.

If they did that, you would still have the same problem in your original post where undertuned skills are still just as worthless. So what does that solve exactly?

except calling it out increases the chances of it getting fixed. ya know...

It looks like effects that were week before the update are not being used at all after the update only the effects that where not hit as hard from the nerf. Most classes are moving to some what condi or classes who had odd ball skill and effects that where kind of strong before the update that anet seem to forgot about all together are not being used. Example scraper thunderclap and morder kit / bomb kit being the best dps in wvw now.

 

Its not a good look seeing classes only move to skills that anet forgot to nerf.
