The way it is now, I have to sit around for significant time to get all the points. So, my inactivity costs my team a slot on that map for a half hour. I don't much care for WvW, so it doesn't bother me. But, it should bother those who actually like WvW.

Not good enough. You can't see how much time is left, which required me to go back to the main lobbies.

    > Yeah, but your game and your computer have to be running that time, and there's afk players using a slot in the map.

    > If anet ever adresses WvW at all (they're not particularly interested in anything except fractals or raids it seems), pips and rewards should be looked at at some point, i mean, i don't mind the grind that much, but i have to spend close to half an hour for the participation to go down after i'm done playing essentially... So far, that isn't interrupting my normal routine, but i can see it being annoying for people.

    >

    > Maybe let us get all the rewards instantly when we leave map, then make participation impossible for the exact amount of wind down time left, like if you had T6 participation, you leave to LA and get all the pips, chests, reward tracks (QoL window details your earnings), then you get a participation cooldown of 25 minutes or however long it would have taken you to afk a map. That way, you can't just barge right in and earn participation again, exploiting the system, and the maps are free for players who are actually helping. After 25 minutes, you can enter WvW again.

    > Something like that.

Yeah, I suggested something list this on the old forums. And, for the same reasons.

I would, however, prefer that if they do the lockout, they should warn you as you leave. And, DON'T trigger this feature if you are being timed out by the system.

Yes, but I'm still taking up a slot. That's bad for my world, if I understand how it works.

Plus, I do stay by the keyboard. I'm just less attentive for a half hour.

I don't really see what the problem is here, considering that the main bonus of this is an aura (probably, though it might not have an aura who knows yet?).

You don't understand: It's not raiding that I don't like. It's the majority of the people who do it that bother me.

I like raiding for one reason, though: it takes those people and moves them out of the main game.

  5. Mr. O'Brien,

Thank you for your openness on this. I wasn't one of the people targeted, since I don't buy skins. But, observing all of the flack about it, it seems to me the problem is one of scale rather than process. 30 skins is just too many.

Why not (in the future), do the same thing, but only 5-10 skins at a time? Internally, you could still have 30 skins targeted, but release them in smaller groups. So, instead of one pile of 30 skins all at once, customers might see 5 skins a month for 6 months (or whatever).

Then, the other thing is two ways to buy: Some customers revel in the random gambling process. But, others want a specific skin. If they're marketable on the BLTP, and the rarity is the same, it should balance out as people trade them on the Post.

On the other hand, some people want one specific skin, and they want it now. So, offer a second set of non-random items for the specific skins (for more gems).

If the rarities are not the same, then there would be some pricing issues, but it should all wash out in the end.

    ???

  6. It takes about 25 minutes to wind down after achieving 195. But, you'll get booted at 15 minutes, if you are AFK.

Whatever you do, don't implement a macro or other program/device to move you. You likely will get caught and banned for it.

Personally, I think they should let you keep earning your pips after you log out or change characters. The way it is now, I have to sit around for significant time to get all the points. So, my inactivity costs my team a slot on that map for a half hour. I don't much care for WvW, so it doesn't bother me. But, it should bother those who actually like WvW.

    >

    > its not the amount of items listed thats the issue, its the amount of individual listing/sale transactions. So you wont have a problem selling 1 stack of mithril but if you try to sell/list the 250 ores individually one by one, you will get an error message after 16-18 listings and you have to wait a couple of seconds before being able to list another one.

Ah, that could be. I don't think I've ever sold 4000 (16 stacks) in a short span. So, thanks, and I retract my statement.

That doesn't happen to me. I've sold thousands of items within just a few seconds many times. Dozens or maybe hundreds of times. Maybe one second each, typically.

The question was what would I like. It didn't specify whether it was possible or not.

  10. Could we get a checkbox on bank tabs? The checkbox would control where things go when we double-click from our inventory. If this were implemented, it probably should reset as we exit the bank.

Alternately (but probably more work), a drop-down list of generic item types. If this were implemented, it should probably stick around between logons or uses. "generic item types" means equipment, crafting materials, etc., just as they exist for packs. But, added to that would be armor boxes, weapon boxes, maybe recipes, etc.

I would like to organize my bank so that my Silverwastes stuff is in one tab, my Crystal Oasis stuff in another, etc. Either of the above might help with organization.

  11. I buy gems occasionally. I only very rarely use in-game gold to buy gem store items.

What I buy is usually character slots (although, I won't be needing many more) and things that increase inventory, including bank slots and bag slots. I also buy BL chest keys occasionally. I don't think I've ever bought a skin.

I usually buy only when items are on sale, or part of a package deal that makes sense.
