Not everybody can afford $800+ for a video card alone. WvW would be unplayable. the game is CPU heavy, not GPU heavy. it only uses one single core regardless of anyone's multi-core CPU, my laptop has a quatro core CPU yet it run's GW2 like shit. anyway, the whole reason why GW2 is falling behind in the MMO world is because they never learn from their mistakes, instead ignoring them. to show a small list they never ever made properly: -targeting system is crap -battle system is in conflict with the skill system making it a bad match. -mastery is a mess -the engine is still from 2008, not utilizing multi-core CPU's -they keep on adding more achievements with stubbornly ignoring quests -they keep on adding more and more currencies because they can't think of a better way to balance item purchases. (and ever add quests that would solve all of it.) -their stories become less and less interesting -they still don't know how a skip dialog system works even after 8 frikin years -they started casual friendly but they are becoming elitist exclusive, only caring for meta's and nothing else -they are starting to make everything so grindy that even festivals are just nothing but ridicules grindfests. -instead of allowing ppl to choose their playstyle they force it, not allowing anything but a small boring line of styles. -instead of allowing several roles to be useful the only thing useful is DPS, the worst part is that they never ever made any progress on promoting other roles. oh, and if anyone thinks this is allot, i am still being mild at best.
  2. my goal is to not put my hopes up no matter how much they hype stuff, they have done plenty in the past and they never fail to disappoint.

  4. when festivals are making rewards completely impossible for casuals (and i mean real casuals) it sucks the fun out of them, the festivals in the original guild wars are tons better because they can be done by pretty much everyone and the rewards are not a huge grind.
  5. i think about a year ago they changed something with the BLC drop rate, since then it's bin horrible.

But that is a lot of time that will require voice actors, not developers. > The developers working with balance and other coding shouldn't even be involved with that project. > My only concern is if they have enough money to finance a new language and if that investment will payoff? the developers need to cut it all, mix the sound for good quality, add them in the game on the right characters and time the voices just right. you're seriously underestimating the work needed to even add a single language.

If so, maybe be a bit more descriptive in what you're trying to convey. the 26th is second christmas day, a horrible time to do such things.

  9. it already exists, not in the way VR works but in a certain line it already has what you need. i know VR is big enough to actually do something with it, it's just a pity the AAA MMO world doesn't even see how big it is.

The voice actors might cause an additional cost though. Is there something else that I haven't thought about? the entire game till now needs that treatment, it would mean that they have to translate and record millions of lines just to get the core game ready. no seriously, it takes more resources to completely re-record and translate every single line than to add a new chapter.

  13. an existing RPG element. story that doesn't require achievemends or masteries (A.K.A non-sense grind) a targeting system that works oh....you asked for something realistic? sorry, didn't see that.
  14. most ppl can't even afford an RTX card let alone the ones playing GW2 with one, it would give them nothing in return to add that for maybe a small 2% of the player base.
  15. i rather want the spider mount, that actually has a use without altering half the game.
  16. they can't even get the in-game store to work properly, of every thing that is slow in this game the store is the king of it, i can even do an event with 30+ players on my crappy laptop and play faster than the store.

This way, that animation is one size fits all (often times you'll see water flowing into the ground... this is because the water is a giant surface that clips through the ground... of you have Skyrim, go to Uncle Hadvar's place and look at the river for an example) > > easier and simpler to check if players are underwater if you detect it by height than to check whether or not they're in a certain object. > > Serves as a baseline when designing a map. Not necessary our even particularly useful, but it's nice to have a reference point when making canyons and mountains and kitten. > i know this, as i have bin mapping since HL and moved on with several mapping programs. (some more annoying than others, yes, i am looking at you cryengine) but what i mean is that there is a trick to make several leveled water without even using the base map water, that way devs can add different types of water since the base one is only one type that can't be changed per location. if Anet used that trick instead of depending on whatever they did there, underwater waking wouldn't even be an issue. (at times the entity bugs out, it will then see it as a simple textured block and nothing more.)
  18. the cryengine allows you to place water at any level as long as it's enclosed, GW2 is just using such an old engine that simple things like that are not possible. better yet, back when half life was the top end game i made maps with plenty of other leveled water, it's all in the assigned entity.

Battle damage shows a sign of experience. 22. the only single thing i want them to fix is the target system, even after 8 years it's still horrible at best.
  23. > @"Danikat.8537" said: > Can someone explain for me what difference upgrading to DX12 would make if they don't change the graphics? Would it just change some of the lighting effects and shaders? it would at least allow the game to take advantage with dual core CPU's, something the game isn't build on using slowing down even the best computers.
