  1. I think I have seen enough characters behaving like rebellious teenagers. Obedience and discipline are more noble and positive qualities. Before learning how to lead someone has to learn how to obey. Ryland doesn't even care for his parents, what a joke of an NPC, totally despicable.
  2. If you are looking for a Goddess of lies that has to be Kormir, her lies started as soon as she became Goddess in GW1, she said that tyrians will never fight alone and in GW2 PoF Kormir now changes her mind saying that Gods cannot intervene leaving mortals to fight against a disgraced God. Kormir is the Goddess of lies indeed and Lyssa is just another villain queued up to be killed in the future. Jormag is a liar, I don't think he is really Primordus' twin but he is definitely the key to kill the fire dragon, the two powers annihilate each other. If you rearrange the word "Primordus" you can obtain the word Spirdumor which is one of the combinations that fits best as an elder Dragon's name for the water one.
  3. Your gems will be delivered to you within 3 working days, if this doesn't happen contact the support team with a ticket and they will fix it for you. There may be a problem caused by their system. Don't expect an apology from one of their representatives as I have received none from them when it happened to me. Good luck
  4. The writers could have done a better job with Primordius giving him a decent personality. In other games story fire is the element of purity, cleanse, rebirth. It's not just chaos and destruction like the elder dragons represents. I call this wasted potential and I hope they can do a better job addressing the personality of the water dragon, because water in this game is the element of healing and cleansing, so S. can have all the rights to be a good elder dragon who is not interested in waging war against his brothers.

It's almost always the same story: "I was just minding my business all innocent-like. This other guy comes up and breaks a rule that is only a rule in my head. The disrespect!" A sequence of events usually follows where the "victim" signals their intention to pursue a personal conflict (which is justified by the fact that you are a rule-breaker - You started it!). Being in the right from the outset, everything you now do in retaliation to the victim is added to the list of your transgressions. > > Meanwhile, those of us who play under the Red Rule just shrug when we're fighting a 1v1 and 5 enemy players focus us down and then celebrate with a jumping and siege-tossing party over our corpses. We never bother to take that step to make it personal simply because of some perceived breach of etiquette. > > If you give people vague rules like "Play nice!" all you do is feed the problem because everybody is going to draw their own line in the sand with regard to what constitutes a breach of etiquette. It increases toxicity because the hall monitors among us will actively seek out ways to punish perceived infractions, thereby inviting unnecessary conflict. > > Isn't it enough to just use the report/block features for people who take it too far and just grow a thicker skin for the small stuff? > > Actually, excess of celebration in a real life situation is considered an offense and unsportsmanlike, you are just making an hyperbolic fallacy in order to make your point look valid but it's just an exaggeration of what would happen.
  6. I think ArenaNet should bring back Dhuum ban and apply penalties to unsportsmanlike conduct in PvP modes and WvW. This kind of conduct prevents other players' enjoyment of the game and should be discouraged. In addition good conduct needs to be reinforced and better rewarded in order to train players to avoid toxicity.
  7. The Skyscale is most suitable for casual players who need an all-round flying mount with a slow speed which can take them almost everywhere that doesn't require a jackal sand portal in order to be reached. At the end of the day I will end up with every mounts available just for collection purposes and I will blast my way in Dragonfall's Meta with my superfast diving Griffon :)
  8. I have always supported the introduction of adult minded characters in the storyline, nobody likes to go on an epic mission to save the world with child minded characters, drama queens and clumsy troublemakers. Anet should support characters as role models for the young audience this game is addressed to. I would allow teenage characters only if they are obedient and responsible, no spoiled brats
  9. If you knew where to find high elevated ground and learned how to gain speed by flapping when diving I am sure you would appreciate the Griffon more than the skyscale, the mount is fast. The difference between the two flying mounts can be noticed while doing Dragonfall meta event where you fight the elder dragon and other maps where you can dive with the Griffon.
  10. If you don't have the Crystal Champion mastery all done I suggest you start the skyscale first, it's the poor people's choice because it's cheaper in gold then the Griffon but it's more grindy. The Griffon can be faster than a Skyscale in some situations and it can dive at an incredibly fast speed and you can mount on a Griffon while falling from a cliff or while gliding but it takes longer than a Skyscale to master.

  12. Mesmers and Revenants will always be in the Meta, they are the only source of alacrity. Rangers and BS Warriors will always be in the Meta, they bring unique boons like spotter, spirits and banners. Guardian is currently in the Meta solely because it gives permanent quickness, it doesn't excel on anything in particular. The other professions are replaceable
  13. Lyssa is going to be a villain, and this time not as a fallen Goddess like Abaddon or Balthazar but a full power Goddess and no other Gods will protect us
  14. I have used hammer for some time just to test it against other weapons and I think hammer skills need a complete rework, maybe make hammer a condi weapon with a hard CC in the mix to save it from oblivion. I can't see myself using hammer on my guardian anytime with the current skills.

She absorbed the powers of a fallen God after all. > > > > > > I don't think absorbing a fallen God's powers makes any difference to her status as a God. She fully took on the title of Goddess of Truth and according to the scriptures and "all its powers and resposnsbilities". It's also noted that Lyssa mocked Kormir for remaining behind as per Kormir's diary. Lyssa to mock another God for that and then staying behind anyway makes little sense. It doesn't make sense to you because you can't see the plot behind it and instantly jump to wave the nonsense flag at my comment without thinking. It's pretty reasonably valid to claim that if Lyssa had plans to stay in Tyria as the only goddess she could have lured all the Gods in their depart, this way no Goddess would interfere in her secret plans. What if Lyssa gave her mirror to Balthazar? We don't know how he went in possession of the mirror so as long as there are no answers from ArenaNet to fill this gap in the lore we can be free to speculate every possibilities.

  17. I am sorry, this could be an unpopular opinion, but there is no need to nerf something that is perfectly balanced because a nerf would end up making spirit weapons mediocre. You can't just ask a nerf on everything you don't like, these weapons have a cooldown already, if they get nerfed something else needs to be buffed to make up for it in order to not upset the balance of the game and someone else is going to call for nerfs on something else. Please provide logs and other evidence to support your claim on why you think they would be so overpowered to need a nerf.
  18. It can't be, Kormir mentions the 5 Gods in PoF and not the 4 so Lyssa may still be alive. I wouldn't exclude the possibility that Lyssa fooled the other Gods to remain in Tyria and now she could be planning her vengeance against the dragons and the mortals who killed Balthazar. She is the Goddess of illusions and only her illusions can fool the other Gods. Balthazar's half brother is still alive, the Lord of destruction is probably planning his wrath unto the mortal races. We witnessed a piece of his domain in Dragonfall. Torment is by far the top villain in this game, an entity that can corrupt elder dragons and Gods is by far well beyond their powers.
  19. There is a way to make all professions easy to play, and the first step is key binding. My key binding set up is as follows: 1,2,3,4,5 for the left skill bar G,Q,E,R, Tab for the right skill bar (utility and elite) F1, F2, F3, F4 for the top skill bar Z for special action The easiest professions I play right now are power staff daredevil and dragonhunter but key binding is required in order to optimize your rotation. You can key bind your novelty items using the Shift+(number 1 to 5) as an option After key binding everything as I did you can play any piano build as well and use the right mouse click to strafe left and right using A and D, you have to get used to it. Good luck Touchme
  20. Humans eyes stay about the same size from childbirth to adulthood, but this cannot apply to dragons. It didn't apply to elder dragons like Kralkatorrik for example. Vlast would have been a better NPC if the writers gave him a chance. Golden dragons are the most noble and powerful dragons usually, excluding prismatic dragons. This bonding thing is inconsistent, Aurene can still brand mortals like the other elder dragons do and it feels like an idea taken from movies just to forcefully add some cuteness to these dangerous beasts
  21. Crafting disciplines you mean? If fishing will be introduced as a mastery you won't see any new ones, unless they invented a new valuable consumable category of items that are worth trading like the Artisan who can craft musical instruments, toys, minis and other novelty items and consumables. However, fishing could work as a crafting discipline if the crafting is not exclusively focused on fishing poles and hooks.
  22. > @"Svennis.3852" said: > What do you define as “sisteromance?” Because if the opposite of that is bromance, Caithe and Faolain, Marjory and Kasmeer don’t fit that description based on the fact their relationships were/are romantic. Bromance is typically portrayed as platonic and intimate, but not romantic or sexual. If you want more male x male romantic relationships, that’s something I’d love to see, but that doesn’t seem to be your desire. I’d be down for more “bros” or platonic “bromantic” relationships, too. As it stands, there are no platonic “sisteromances” between female characters either. > > I have to agree with Psientist’s sentiments. Your argument feels tainted by a dislike for the female characters, more specifically that the game (in your seeming opinion) would dare to focus on them over male characters. Your argument would come off less biased if you simply said “I’d like to see more male characters that are [insert traits here],” but instead you disparage female characters, their positions of power, and their relationships with other female characters like those are *bad* things. If that’s not what you mean, don’t bring up female characters as an issue/obstacle getting in the way of interesting male characters. > > The fact that Aurene is a “female” dragon has absolutely *zero* relevance to the reasons Vlast died. You can just say, “hey, we have Aurene. I’d love to see a good aligned male dragon too! Vlast was a cool character and a missed opportunity.” Most everyone would agree with that, but then you include all these irrelevant comments about female characters lol. > > Why is there no King in Kryta? Because Jennah hasn’t married. Why is Logan’s lack of commitment to Destiny’s Edge Jennah’s fault? She called for her most trusted knight when she felt threatened, and he chose to abandon his allies for his Queen. Whether wrong or right, that was his choice. There’s no indication that Jennah forced him to come to her aid as far as I remember, or that he’d face punishment for ignoring her request. It’s always been framed by the narrative that his love of Jennah was stronger than his love for his companions. I’m sure a lore buff will correct me if I’m wrong. Thank you for pointing out a flaw in my argument, let me rephrase it, I think there are enough sexually/romantic relationships between female NPCs and sisteromances in this game and I want to see more of these kind of relationships on the male side of the NPCs especially bromances. I don't hate female characters because they are females, I am not a misogynyst and you shouldn't even consider it as an option as it will instantly result in a report from me because I consider that offensive because it's not true. I think everyone should feel free to criticize female characters and talk about masculinity without being labeled as a misogynyst.

This brat of a Norn was on my "most wanted: dead" list since the first day I have met him in game.
  24. Let me list one by one all the annoying characters who should die in order of how much I hate them: 1.Caithe 2.Taimi 3. Aurene 4. Marjory 5. Kasmeer 6. Braham 7. Canach Fingers crossed at least one of them is going to see the reaper this year, I will be waiting with a bottle of prosecco ready to celebrate their demise
