What can I say? Reading comprehension is apparently not my strong suit. :#

If you don't like them, don't play them.

Better yet: ArenaNet, please delete all other classes but Mesmer, Ranger, And Necromancer.

To be fair, he is talking about PVE. In particular, he seems to be talking about OW PvE. I'm not quite sure how one successfully does it just by autoattacking everything, but I'm clearly not as skilled as the OP...

Nor do I think he understands the term Pay-to-Win...

Also Daily Fractal reward chests and achievement chests have a chance to drop them.

Ascended gear is pretty easy to get through collections and crafting imo. And you really don't even NEED those unless your doing fractals.

    > > Yes build templates would be nice.

    > Fun fact the game started out without gear grind exotic gear was easy to get, than Anet changed it guess what they can change it again if people feel more fun without grinding gear stats.

    >

    > Solution is easy lower the prices for gear

The game started out without gear grind, and the game _still_ doesn't have gear grind. Exotic equipment is as easy to get now as it was back in the beginning, and I would argue it's actually even easier to get now. Aside from higher level fractals gated by AR, no content in the game requires Ascended or Legendary equipment.

As well, Legendary weapons were marketed as a long-term goal, or journey, from the start. Legendary armor and trinkets just followed that trend.

Sounds like it's not your game type, and you should go back to games like Bloodborne and Hollow Knight, both of which are great games but aren't for me, just like MMOs clearly aren't for you. Not everything is going to be for everyone.

    >

    > No I think I'd like them to change it instead since I've probably played this game and gw1 which was more solo friendly, longer then you have.

I would like them to keep developing GW2 in the direction they are currently taking.

As well, instead of making assumptions of who's played longer or spent more money, I will simply state: All opinions are equal.

  7. I believe that, so far, none have brought up an certain important reason against OW Dueling. That being the cooperative nature of OWPvE. You're arguing to add a competitive feature to a game mode the developers have taken great pains to make almost completely cooperative.

Please, correct me if I am wrong, but the only competitive elements I can think of are mount races and leaderboards. Let's be honest, two relatively minor things in six years of continuous game development.

  8. I can not speak for Mesmers, but I have found a great majority of survivability comes from unique profession mechanics.

I always build with Berserker's/Viper's in mind, as I find it's much easier to manage builds based around the same stat selection. As such, my survivability comes from trait and skill selection.

For example, if I find myself dying too often on my Ranger, I can switch from Soulbeast to Wilderness Survival and run Survival skills and a tank pet. Much hardier than a full glass MM/BM/SB build camping beastmode. ;)

    >

    >

And as qouted earlier in this very thread, the developers maintain it would be too much time and effort better spent elsewhere, especially given the options already available.

  10. As others have presented well-reaaoned posts against buffed racial skills, I'll choose not to comment.

On the Mistfire Wolf, however... Yes, please. Here's my firstborn.

While I would prefer it as an actual ranger pet, I believe a reasonably nerfed Minion version of the skill would be much better than what we currently have.

    > > ANet replaced dual-classing with a different balance issue. The way damage numbers are derived in GW2 (boons, the use of multiplicative numerical systems, large numbers on gear) guarantees that the best builds, and especially the best team comps, can deliver many time more effect than the less effective specs/comps. In GW, to create a build that were even close to that far removed from the better builds, one had to do silly things, like put all one's attribute points into Death Magic and Blood Magic, and slot skills solely from the Curses line; or put all ones points into Hammer Mastery and Fire Magic, and use swords plus Water spells.

    > >

    > > So, yeah, adding dual classes to the train-wreck that is balance in GW2 would be a true nightmare, one that would make GW look like one of the better-balanced games.

News flash: if feel that your time is so kitten valuable that you need to exclude a player or a class because it has 1% less than "optimum" DPS, then frankly, you should be doing something more important with your oh so precious time than playing video games.

    >

    > No lol meta is effects that you need to get though content. If its dmg type or healing every different content needs a different meta to win. Ppl just try to tie negatively to the word meta. You NEED boons in wvw and pvp you NEED boon control as well You NEED dps dmg and healing in pve these effects are meta for there game type. If your class is missing these effects at a "ok" level or a "benchmark" level your class is not meta.

    >

    > Anet NEEDS to make sure all classes can hit these "benchmarks" of meta effects for all game types you will still have better classes but ALL classes need to be able to compete.

    >

    > Here a good way to think of things about meta:

    > We all need food there are food that are better for you and foods that taste better etc.. the meta effect is if the food keeps you alive and moving. Sitting there and staying sand is ok even though its not meta dose not mean its good for you to eat. We do not end sand because it dose not give us what we need to live and move so sand is not meta food.

    This is incorrect.

META stands for Most Effective Tactic Available, not Only Effective Tactic Available. You can easily complete any content in the game without META compositions, with some even being nearly as effective as META.

As an analogy, compare a high-level MPG sedan, a 4WD SUV, and a Formula One racecar. All are effective at getting from Point A to Point B. However, each would be considered META in different categories. The sedan would be better than the SUV for cross-country trips, while the SUV would be better for offroading. Both, however, would be handily beaten in straightline speed by the race car.

    Edit: Better analogy.
