The charr car is pretty much window dressing. A simple toy that’s easy to destroy and gives zero help to anything.

Multiple dragon banners in a group, on the other hand, is a pain. One is also really nothing to care about, but I’ve seen many times where there were 3 or 4 in an opposing group. Now THAT is called planning, and good on them for doing it. But it’s nasty to deal with.

I’m glad they are now restricted to the structure.

    > I just gotta say this thread was a good laugh and meme and I wanna thank everyone who contributed to it. Imagine complaining about a dumb rune that spawns a useless golem that runs around uncontrollably and dies to random cleave and has the most obvious CC in the whole game lol. Like everyone realizes that this guild is memeing with it right? And y’all are just feeding them content lol.

Well the cool part about this is so many, and it’s a LOT, players are fairly new. Seasoned good players and groups can deal with things like this easily. It’s the inexperienced, or poor players that complain typically.

The golem is actually quite useful taking camps and shrines and towers solo. I don’t need the golem but now that I know about it I find it fun to use.

I haven’t used it against people yet but I’m looking forward to seeing what fun I can have there too. ?

  3. The key is to complain LOUDLY. That’s what the other folks did that didn’t like the damage. Now they can survive better on their builds of choice. Seriously, if everybody complains enough then protection will be NERFED or damage will be buffed and so on and so on and will go back-and-forth back-and-forth. All under the guise of balance.

    > And there actually would be less zergs, the debuff is so severe it would 100% annoy everyone and stop players from clumping up. And it's not really penalizing as you say, since roamers already are penalized by roaming itself. What? Have you ever seen a single roamer killing a whole zerg? I don't think so. So roamers among roamers are on an even lvl and can still play without any actual downside.

You talk like roaming is a separate environment from the rest of wvw and it’s not. You roam, take camps, even take towers when you can get away with it, you scout for the zergs. The last thing you need is to be scaled down because your function is not INSIDE the zerg. If you don’t see the problem with your suggestion here then you really don’t understand wvw.

    >

    > Of course as a vet you're against this. Because you like the way WvW is designed generally, you wouldn't be a vet otherwise. Then again the only people who like WvW as it is right now are these kind of people. Everyone else doesn't even talk about WvW. This mode basically is already dead, and only continues to exist for the ones dedicated to its weak design. Ironically the only people complaining about WvW are exactly the same, and they will continue to complain into a void. And why? Because in its current state WvW isn't popular, and that for good reason.

I actually believe that wvw needs revamping. But these suggestions are definitely not the way to do it. No I don’t have the answers, but I do know that these aren’t them.

I play these days simply to run with friends.. not because I enjoy the mode because it really isn’t great. But these kinds of changes would stop my play completely since they penalize the roamers and small groups.

Except his suggestion is to down level you to 50 if you leave the squad. pfft

  7. As a vet in wvw I feel the OPs suggestion is so far from acceptable I can’t even comment on individual parts of it. On the other hand, if ANet ever wanted to put the final nail in the coffin for wvw this would definitely be the way to do it.

  8. I’ve played since 2012. I used to play 5-7 days a week. Averaged 4-5 hours a day. Yup no life... Now I play 1 or two days a week, 2-4 hours at most each time.

I go in on Wednesday nights for a regular run with some friends. Other than that I might pop in out of boredom but I get bored with wvw shortly after.

It’s sad because I really did love this game a lot before wvw simply became what seems to be an after thought.

If you are a really good thief then yes you win... otherwise my soulbeast will kill you.. seriously I kill more thiefs than thiefs kill me. Unless they run away which many do.

The bottom line as some have suggested above is that you just really need to be GOOD at your class. I've killed every class but the hardest to kill, for me, has been engi and ele followed by warrior, generally speaking. But any of these classes can kick my butt if they know how to play.. and THAT is the key. It's not the class.. it's how good you are.. period.

Didn’t say it was the beallendall. Just that it’s what I run. I kill a lot more than I die. That doesn’t mean you won’t pound me into the dirt. lol. But it’s not as weak as you might think if you play it right.

    > The idea wouldn't impact me personally so I don't exactly care that much either way, but it just seems that it gives an unnecessary edge to long-term players over anyone new trying to get into the game or mode itself.

I have 3 sets of gear/builds, for example, for one of my classes. I switch sets depending on what's happening in wvw at the time. I also tweak specializations and so on... If it was "one amulet to control them all" type of situation it would completely stop my type of game play. I do NOT play spvp... I don't like the amulet setup and don't like that game mode. WvW might be a type of pvp but it's nowhere near the same.

If so then not near as easily as now. I caught many of them before then mowed them down with my soulbeast. Now I can’t catch them at all.

I don’t consider it a problem at all. I actually don’t care that I can’t catch them since I don’t waste time once they’re running away. I simply wanted to share what I see first hand. If a thief wants to run away that’s all good. If he turns to fight then he’s dead. That’s about it.

Thief easily outruns the mounts. Enemy or friendly. I can’t keep up with thief’s on foot period... I have full mastery and pop the jump the second it’s ready.

At least not the ones that know how to set up.
