  1. how can a thief abandon pvp/wvw, where it is the most busted class that destroy the mode for years i can see thief quit pve, but pvp/wvw? a lot of people play thief only for pvp/wvw too even when underperforming as 5v5 organized meta comp for tournaments. it will always be good in ranked, top10 top25 will always have multiple thief mains.

  3. thief beat warrior all the time, because warrior can't catch thief at all, either its draw or you lose as warrior. since 2012 and if you using a slow hitting weapon, dp thief can blind spam you to death d/p thief used to beat hambow, even tho hambow was one of the most op build at the time, rather funny. the entire warrior kit loses to thief only tether beats thief.
  4. no bro, damage doesnt matter, crucial targets are the squishy ones, not the tank point holder who pump out healing. kill number is what matter, not damage number

  7. tbh i'd rather warrior get third weapon slot instead of new weapon, so perhaps warrior can finally use it's large pool of weapon selection instead of only using 2 out of 20

  10. it does 66 damage because they cant give warrior damaging utility, they want to lock warrior dps behind weapon picking or else what can they do with all those weapons other than cannibalizing each other, tho its already cannibalizing.. they are really dumbing down war utilities tho in result. the irony when having access to the most weapon type is actually useless because you can only wear 2 sets and also having the least viable weapon..

Yea, that's exactly what meta builds are doing right now and literally killing everything that's not speed based and melee based. not good. rune that gives speed is too good as mobility is king now and you have to spec for it, having rune giving mobility is just bad i don't see how you enjoy the meta that necro is already dead for people specing speed on top of running mobility runes, 2 of 4 meta builds have mobility runes and shoutwar/scrapper also specced heavily in mobility. bring down general mobility and have to spec for, actually amplify necro skills effectiveness

  20. remove 25% speed rune. tbh, wurm + spec walk isnt low mobility at all. unless you have spammable mobility like thief/rev, you can basically never catch a necro who saves the wurm or walk.
  21. thief is fine, the problem right now is the meta builds, who have high mobility and have high aoe uptime that kills off any melee build that dares to approche, like power warrior, will get destroyed. it's not thief not playable, it's melee not playable, meta builds are anti melee with high mobility, so anti-ganking. kills any melee dps builds. aoe spamming with mobility is strong in this one. as long as meta become less anti melee and anti gank, thief will be back in no time as the best gank.
  22. rev u can facetank alot of things thats for sure and you have shiro teleport for fast clear if u good, warrior is pretty slow and spellbreaker is...no damage imo and berserker dies too fast for solo. rev u can pretty much run anything u want as long as u have Devastation and facetank stuff
  23. that's the thing, there's no +1 anymore, rev is running demolisher, it's a brawler with teleport (also running demo just to flush out thief, berserker rene doesnt stand against thief) it can "+1" but ganking and plusing is entirely gone, not just thief gone, just the entire role is gone from the game, thief is just representation of the role for it dominated in this role for so long. why ganking is gone, because everything is tanky, not worth plusing and has mobility. every single meta builds now has high mobility and very good against ganks. (high aoe uptime and high mobility) simply unplayable for any melee +1 build. and thief is also unhealthy for the game (why it dominated gank role for so long), i think classes with less teleport/stealth in ganking would be healthier in general

Although I did defeat the thief in both fights, I think its pretty clear that the thief lost almost by choice. What I mean is, the thief is able to reset over and over trying to get a burst. At the same time, on Mirage my clones run around and almost never actually make contact. The actual kill on the thief is very short using confusion, which is NOT easy. It seems to me like it shows that even against Thieves best matchup by a wide margin, condi mesmer (Plasma is OP), the thief had absolutely no hope of ever killing you. The best he could do is run away and survive, and if he stayed to fight, he would always have died, as he did in the end. And thats even against a player *clicking* their skills, which is highly inefficient to the point of giving the thief a massive advantage he usually wont have in a fight. If just not being in a fight counted for survivability, afk spawn mesmer would be the most survivable build in the game. But when it comes to staying in a fight, Necro completely blows theif out of the water. yea, except thief can be survivable while still contribute to the team/match. by either back capping, or stay for stealth decap(completely doubles enemy cap time), or literall simply being in stealth will disturb enemy rotation as you don't know where the fifth is, and you will be able to plus fights without knowing on top of steal's easy take down while maintaining minimum risk compared to any other builds also you win game by not dieing while getting points, as long as you did the "not dieing" party, you already won half the match. most snowballed matches are snowballed by necro having very low mobility and get ganged and get snowballed.
