  1. Sharur was the first legendary I made and kept. I like the weapon very much as is. I would be very unhappy to see it changed in the ways you are asking for.

This game's zero sum penalty for death is not some wistful tribute to the simpler days of yore.... it's a near unique pandering cop out that ultimately doesnt do the game any favors.

If you dont have a mount by the time you hit EoD thats the players fault, skipping story is bad, its not a surprise why some new players are clueless on what the story is all about, since they all went to PoF first before HoT. The story and it's presentation in this game rarely moves in quality beyond "above average". It is frequently uninspired, derivative and told in an unengaging manner. There's zero challenge and as such it becomes an exponentially worse experience when done with other people. It constantly jumps the shark with it's narrative beats and more often that not does a tremendous disservice to the lore and worldbuilding around it. There are dozens of perfectly valid reasons why players would want to skip the story. Its frequently just not fun. You can get as judgey as you like calling players who feel this way "clueless" but it doesnt make them wrong.

Your advice is awful because you are advising the OP to run a hodgepodge of stats that neuter the build and don't feed it's strengths. Exotic Dire gear is among the cheapest in the game. Bought off the TP a full set of lvl 80 exotic Dire armor can be had for less than 3 gold. There are a number of cheap exotic trinkets with Dire stats on the TP. For less than 10 gold the OP could pretty much kit out their toon in exotic Dire gear and thats without mitigating the cost via use of Karma vendors or Dungeon Tokens or any of the easily obtainable stat-selectable armor sources. They will not get a sense of what the build can do with your advice. The build wont come anywhere near it's potential. Tossing sidewise snark at the truly dedicated fans and players of this game who give of their time and money to create community resources like snowcrows and metabattle will not change this.
