  1. All we have right now is an announcement they working on an xpac, some concept art, and a few dev comments on Guild Chat. No features have been announced at all.

You won't get one. The OP could just just as easily of recognized that Anet added new massive faucets for the majority of components for legendary weapons other than MC's over the past year then acknowledged the natural effect this has had on the price. But it's much better point to some sort of shadowy cabal to obfuscate your avarice over digital weapons.
  3. > @"Oxstar.7643" said: > Also, why is it even a competition? What is with the "most contribution thing"? Wouldn't it be more fun if we worked together and got rewarded based on teamwork rather than competing with the winners being those who did it many many times? Why shouldn't players that perform at a higher level be recognized and rewarded?

This may be true for *you*. Different people interface with this system in different ways. I play a lot of alts, I have both gear loadouts filled on most of them. When I go through periods where I am not playing WvW or doing a lot of map completes I start running out. I currently have less than a dozen charges despite leveraging things like festival vendors. I assure you the ones gained from login rewards and "just by playing" do not always meet my personal needs. I am not nearly the altoholic that some are, and I do not change my appearance as often as many do.
  7. > @"Fuchslein.8639" said: > How can you farm transmutation charges in PVE in the same mass like PVP or WVW without spending gems or gold? Map completion offers a guaranteed transmutation charge any time you do not get a BL Key. There are a number of maps in this game that can be completed in less than 15 minutes. Roll alt, tome alt to 80 and complete the following maps: Black Citadel The Grove Divnity's Reach Rata Sum Hoelbrak Bloodstone Fen Silverwastes (depends on meta for the last HP) Dry Top (may depend on events for speed run) Lion's Arch Southsun Cove Drizzlewood Dragonfall If you are an efficient killer and can complete the hearts quickly add: Ember Bay Siren's Landing Lake Doric Sandswept Isles Then Delete the Alt and start again. This is faster than the rate at which you earn them in WvW/PvP..

Every race's home city offers a guaranteed transmutation charge on map complete. Takes less than 10 mins to complete The Grove or Rata Sum, only slightly logner for the other three.

  11. > @"AgentMoore.9453" said: > I happen to think adding different modes of difficulty to raids (with scaling rewards) would be a much more sensible way to resolve the whole thing. Zoop through your legendary journey quickly on harder modes, or take your time on more relenting modes - I wager you'd see less threads like this one. No. The threads would just be replaced with: "ANET HATES CASUALS... EASY MODE TOO HARD" or "WHY ARE EASY MODE REWARDS SO LOW?...WHY DOESN'T ANET LIKE IT'S CUSTOMERS??" The fact is we got "Easy Mode" raiding via Strikes and the low-effort forum warriors jumped on here and started dozens of threads filled with false rhetoric in order to control the narrative and dissuade Arenanet from continuing to develop the content.

  13. Someone needs to explain why you would need these if you are not raiding.

All the others have long since moved on to maps with better loot... "People always came" "Pof maps are just annoyingly empty" Pick one.

Do people buy those? What are your experiences? Sold two legendaries. Posted posted both of them at 5 gold lower than the lowest offer. Moved both within two hours.
  16. > @"Firebeard.1746" said: > I'm really salty that the DRM CMs are part of the meta achieve for Champions. I want them to exist as an achieve and it to be rewarding to do them, but at their current difficulty, it kinda feels ridiculous and I think it would be a mistake for Arenanet to try to make the open world as intense as some of their end-game PVE experiences, i think that would kill the player base. You need to take a solid look at what happened to this game from the release of Dragonfall up until Icebrood Saga ep1. One that isn't fettered by your confirmation bias. For almost 5 months this studio went all-in on the casual, "chill open world experience". Feeding us a never ending stream of "community events" like the Champion Rush, the World Boss Rush ect and culminating with the release of the Prologue. Grothmar Valley is essentially a love letter to the players who had been complaining that the game is too hard, that they just wanted to chill out, hop on their mounts and enjoy the scenery. It has zero ambient threat (outside the dynamic events) other than some devourers. The story instances from the prologue were by far the easiest we had been delivered since Core. The final combat sequence offers a veteran mob that doesn't even have a breakbar. The strike that released with it remains to this day, the easiest group encounter in this game. The end result for Arenanet? The worst financial quarter this game had ever seen. Numbers that were SO bad that the game director at the time just....disappeared. So before you start going off about what would "kill the playerbase", you should consider that Arenanet already knows how . They actively did so under Mike Z. ...and it wasn't done by catering to the people who were asking for more challenging content. > If the next level of Dragon Mastery doesn't significantly improve puggability of CMs, then I might just be done (maybe). You "might just", "maybe" be done? Because your pug teams cannot complete full CM DRMs? You really have two choices here: 1. Recognize that the CMs of these DRMs are not made for standard mismatched PUG groups. Recognize that the regular versions of the DRMs are just fine for the gemstore warriors and those who creditcard farm their legendaries. but that the CMs are meant for those who play harder. Understand that the content is meant for a group of people that spent over a year in this game being ignored by Arenanet. The recognition that these players are also paying customers and part of the playerbase might help ease your pain of seeing CMs on the meta achievements. 2. Play better and carry harder. Though I suppose "taking your ball and going home" because Arenanet doesn't magically enable every low-effort player in the game contribute at an acceptable level via a Mastery is also an option. > I barely pulled my weight with my ranged build (as an average of our total DPS vs. # of players) Found the real problem
  17. Your anecdote does not align with my experience in this game. In the rare times I have needed a bounty kill all I have ever had to do is pop a tag and ask in /m if anyone could come help. Sometimes I don't even need the map callout. People just show up. I suggest that if your anecdote is legit, then there may be a problem with your approach. There isn't a bounty that can't be two or three manned regardless of the ley-line buffs. If you don't have a friend or two to help you I suggest starting there.

Ideas like what we are seeing in this thread are baggage that people keep bringing with them from other games. That's why it's important for people to continue to argue that these kinds of threads aren't relevant to GW2 and explain why. This is not baggage from other games. This is a thread by someone dissatified that the Speedclear Meta isn't to his liking and coming on this forum and looking for the developers to address the playstyle of a small group of people that he clearly isn't part of. The OP has proven in other threads that he doesn't even understand what "meta" means.
  19. A PvE player says they don't want to play WvW for their rewards and this community jumps in with a dozen half-baked ideas for the devs to soften the acquisition of a GoB. "make it tradeable!" "make it purchasable for badges of honor!" A WvW player says they don't want to play PvE for their rewards and this community tells them... "If you don't like it then play another game" Thanks @"DreamyAbaddon.3265" super productive. There was a time not so long ago when new cosmetic rewards such as armor skins were earnable in WvW/sPvP via reward track. This is true for just about every(non gemstore) armor set released up to and including those that shipped with PoF. When a new map released we were also given an associated reward track in competitive to earn the skins. This changed in Season 4. Players in WvW are not able to earn things like the Runic or Requiem or MistShard sets. Since Grothmar, the reward track for the current content has offered nothing but a small map currency stipend at the end of the track. No access to things like the Stormcaller, or Tengu weapons, no access to the armor skins. While the OP going full Karen about a an hour of PvE to unlock a reward track is pretty ridiculous, there is an actual problem here that goes to the core of the "play how you want" mantra of the original developer vision for this game. Ignoring this and telling the player to eff off and play something else because they favor a different game mode than you is not helpful, constructive, or inclusive.
  20. At what point does the Guild Wars 2 community stop pointing at team compositions from a small Speed Running guild as something for Anet to base their balance around?

These chests offer a choice of weight class. > Meanwhile I've played WvW for basically a full single reward track's worth (half the Orr track I think? and half the warclaw) which is a really short time really.. Given the lack of facts in your post I think we can comfortably take your claims with a grain of salt.

We **just** agreed that they offer competitive rewards with the best OW farms in the game. And you want to call them "low income"... This is why the developers cannot take this forum's feedback seriously

Why is this number "too much" for players that are completing content that is objectively harder open world zerging?

  25. > @"Dante.1508" said: > Its been like this for years 80% of the sets are useless and gather dust.. I can't see it ever changing the meta people would be upset. The "meta people" don't care if the best option is the best of ten or the best of fifty. The "meta people" are the ones adding pieces of Sinister, Assassins or Greiving gear into their sets when non-meta players are happy running complete Berskerer's or Viper's. "Meta people" are never going to argue for less options. >A whole group of sets you can't even get without jumping through massive grind hoops.. There is no stat set that is unavailable from the least expensive stat selectable armor/weapon box. 1 gold for a second-best-in slot helmet off the tp is not a "massive grind hoop". Bladed armor boxes are not a "massive grind hoop". Crafting Lunatic Armor is not a "massive grind hoop". All the runic armor rewards in Eye of the North are stat selectable. Stat selectable armor boxes are flat out given to players in WvW. Even straight crafting sets like Trailblazers or Celestial have never been cheaper due to recent changes.
