  1. DRMs are exactly what we think they are. They are replacing proper story content that usually comes with story missions. They are replacing the Open World content we have gotten which each episode since Season 3. It's content that has been scraped together and coupled with grindy achievements to give players something to do and prevent a content drought. I wish they had just given us an epilogue that explains why we go to Cantha and how the journey is related to Jormag's awakening. In my opinion, a content drought following said epilogue would have been less detrimental to the game.
  2. I'd be happy enough if the outfit had more pieces to hide than just the helmet. Arenanet should make shoes, gloves and shoulder pieces hide-able as well.

Clone damage is bad. Just imagine clones can't be killed and will never die, if the Mesmer refuses to shatter. The ones that apply conditions would be a permanent source of conditions with no way to get rid of them.

  5. Guardian is mostly your typical Paladin/Holy Knight class/job/profession. It's the most versatile profession and can basically to everything except for Alacrity (which it probably will get access to in EoD). Revenant likely has been introduced as a throwback to GW1: the energy system all Core legends (+ Glint) depict more or less prominent figures from GW1. It's the most limiting profession. Due to the legend mechanic, it has the least utility skills and you can't choose them freely. In addition to that, the Energy mechanic limits the option you have during active play, as all your skills (except AA) require it. Sometimes you just can't activate necessary skills, because you are out of Energy. Depending on how you play, you may have 2-3 useless utility skills at times. For example: When I play Herald, I mostly just activate the facets for Swiftness and Fury so I can use weapon skills without worrying about running out of Energy.
  6. If Kormir is to be trusted, Lyssa left Tyria safely with Grenth and the other goddesses.
  7. I'd like to have currently existing Quaggan turned into enemies, if anything has to be done. And then Arenanet should "forget" to turn it back to normal.
  8. I'm slowly crawling closer to finishing The Binding of Ipos for my Mesmer. I doubt the legendary armoury will be released before Elden Ring though.

Not it's not. If clones can potentially exist infinitely because they can't be killed and the Mesmer doesn't shatter, they should be nothing but visual distraction. If clones do even a single point of damage, there is no reason for them to be unkillable.

It's possibly that they can't (or don't want to) do mechanical splits between the game modes. That's why the PvP-focussed change to Surge of the Mists also made the skill worse in PvE.

  12. I think it's fine to have longer cooldowns in PvP and WvW.
  13. It's fine for what it tries to achieve. But it's not my cup of raspberry flavoured milk.
  14. It will never get better until they roll back the February 2020 patch.

Braham's ability to sense Destroyer should come from his connection to Wolf. Wolf has the ability to give mortals the ability to track down dragon minions. Unless Arenanet pulls something completely unnecessary, it's the very same ability that Wolf blessed the human heroes with in GW1, so that they could track down the Nornbear, which was a minion of Jormag.
  16. > @"EdwinLi.1284" said: > Primordus is for certain not doing this out of desire for destruction alone because if so then he will not seek to create a world where all life are basically Destroyers and filled with lava. Yet we have not seen Primordus doing anything other than destroying and creating Destroyers to destroy things. As far as we know, Primordus has **not** corrupted anything yet. If you are thinking of the magma Stone Summit Dwarves, that transformation is **not** something Primordus did. They accidentally corrupted themselves with Primordus' essence in an attempt to stay alive, rather than becoming stone.
  17. I'm still hoping for Javelin, so we can get a Paragon-like elite specialization on Warrior.
  18. It's just an asset reuse because there is no Regalia for Melandru. However, we have something similar to Sylvari, that is related to Melandru: Druids (not the elite specialization) Druids were human followers of Melandru that somehow turned into plant creatures and eventually into spirits (sharing a model with Oakhearts in GW1) to become one with nature. This is purely my speculation, but during their transformation from human to plant, they may have had a step in which they were still human in shape, but already turned into plant - this would make them physiologically similar to Sylvari during that step. It's quite possible that the Pale Tree somehow tapped into Druid magic and accidentally (or maybe even on purpose) shaped Sylvari after them. And let's not forget that Sylvari have a strong enough link to the Druids that one of their racial abilities let's them call onto Druid spirits. This is connection is much more loose, but there was one Druid who could use Divination with a Centaur sacrifice. The Dream also is a kind of Divination that is affected by Ventari's tablet (since the dream receives feedback from all Sylvari and most follow the tablet's words).
  19. **ALL** the 300 second traits the removal of fall damage reduction the obliteration of CC damage They should just revert "balance" to January 2020.

I was teasing them. I just meant to throw the same type of comment you did back at you, leaving it to you to interpret it the same way as you wanted your comment to be interpreted. I personally don't care too much of more playable races, but I simply can't see how one would become commanders of the pact. How would they even be introduced to dungeons? Other races have no ties to Destiny's edge and therefore no business in trying to mend their problems. And then there is the chapter V of the personal story that is about studying the lesser races of Tyria. It might not sit well with Tengu and Kodan (which also have been frequently asked for). By all appearances, Kodan see all life as equal, so there would be no lesser races for them. Kodan also are all about balance and nature, so they should actively oppose killing the dragons. And then there are the technical aspects, like fitting all armours and outfits onto new playable races, which would take away resources that should go to the development of the expansion itself. But this thread should be about dwarves, not about bears and birds.

There's plenty of bow designs that look like a harp Using silly-looking skins would make the elite-specialization look even weirder, it certainly wouldn't reduce weirdness. > It would totally work and be unique. The Bowbard silliness already has been done by FF14 years ago. And even there are players who hate Bard being tied to Archer/Bow.
  22. > @"Teratus.2859" said: > Dunno why some of you guys want Primordus redeemed, if anything I want him to be exactly what we expect him to be.. a being of pure destruction and evil. Can we really say he's evil though? For all we know, Primordus may just be a mindless beast that's closer to a natural disaster than anything else. I really would call such a thing evil.
  23. > @"Yggranya.5201" said: > Yeah, wouldn't it be nice if the CC actually made sense? Like, why would i EVER want to launch/push an enemy away from my limited melee reach? You could use it to try and get the enemy off a point in PvP. Or, if you are close to an edge, you could push and enemy away from it to have more room to move. Or you could push enemy players off cliffs in WvW. It has multiple reasonable applications. But one second cast time is too long.

We don't even know if Arenanet is in any position to fix any server issues. After all, the game is on Amazon Web Servers. I don't know if Arenanet can do something or if Amazon would need to fix the issues.
  25. Good luck getting a statement from an actual developer. I don't think any Arenanet employee outside of the two or three forum moderators actually visit the forums. Just don't take PvP seriously. The moment you take it seriously, you've already lost (even if you win the match).
