  1. They should make whip a weapon, even if more of a just-for-fun-not-meta thing although if you could also swing a la Indiana Jones (or Oakheart Essence) with it, that would be very cool! They already have animations for attacks as they are used by the Nightmare Court (and possibly other NPCs?).

     

    Spear and fists/unarmed are also popular requests that could be fun, especially if the latter was part of martial arts + magic elite specs perhaps?

     

    Books and scrolls are already focus weapon skins so I don’t know how those could be added now.

  2. I woukdn’t expect so since trinkets don’t currently have any way of being transmuted. There are some regular trinkets it would be nice to see, such as the jade pendant and coral choker.

     

    Personally, I hope they don’t enable characters not wearing the legendary trinkets to have the “bouncy balls” effect. This and many of the infusions just create a sort of ugly visual clutter that doesn’t really add to the appearance of a character IMHO.

  3. When I started, I boosted one character to 80 right away so that I could take part in more things, although I didn’t play them as much as I’d expected because I had a lot to learn about the game yet, but I think it made me more patient leveling my first characters.

     

    My advise is don’t not boost because of what other players may or may not think. Based on what you’ve written, I would recommend using one instant 80, maybe on a new character or one you are tired of leveling. Not all level 80 content is equally difficult either — Orr and the first PoF maps are easier and for me, mounts make all of the game more fun and will available to your lower level characters as well once you’ve unlocked them.

    Totally agree on the garden plots! I want a third for aesthetics as much as for crafting more primers! :lol:

    Regarding making home instance nodes rich... considering how much each costs on its own, I think any upgrade would have to be very expensive for each one.

     

    I would LOVE shared gathering tool slots! Multiple glyphs on gathering tools could potentially be OP, no? Bounty combined with Reaping or any glyph that grants extra materials?

  5. Is there a reason that the roller beetles have only four limbs instead of six? Other beetles encountered in the game have six legs. I am probably in the minority for caring about this at all, but I love my inverts and the four limbs make it looks decidedly less beetle-like to me. Is there a lore reason for this? Else, might we get some skins with six legs? It shouldn’t make a difference to appearance curls up but they would be there and make me happy.

    Just curious. I’m not going to dump anything of value for RNG plus some AP. Now if bloodstone dust or similar were wanted I’d be happy to lose my extra stacks!

  7. Weird. I wonder what the motivation could be for that behavior? It seems inappropriate behavior, but at least no real harm was done and you didn’t lose anything. I definitely would have blocked them too.

     

    I wonder, is GW2 in the minority or majority in having your online presence and guild membership linked to account rather than character? SWTOR does it the other way, and I could tell you all kinds of crazy stories and soap operas from my experience there! :lol:

     

    I actually found my first (and still main) guild on the forums here before I even started GW2 both because I thought it would determine which server I should join and a good group of people make the game even more fun. :)

I think it’s good that mystic coins are valuable; in contrast to someone who’s made several legendaries, new players have limited means of making gold, especially with materials being cheaper now (at least it will be easier for them to level up crafting). I know I was thrilled to discover that I had accumulated an item I didn’t currently need and could sell for ~1.3g at the time and it helped me gear some characters and get a skin I liked. :)

     

    Since then I’ve made some of the mystic weapons (for the HoT specialization collections) and am now my first legendary so no longer sell mine and might end up buying a few if it turns out to be a limiting factor for me.

     

    I am beginning to suspect that the OP is not looking to buy mystic coins at all but is hoping to egg the price up further to sell their own stash for more...

    Just what are you hoping will be done about it? You want it to rain mystic coins in Lion’s Arch? Or maybe Anet should send you a gift because you’re so poor as to “only” have made a few legendaries?

     

    People have already pointed out many strategies to get more mystic coins directly or earn more gold to buy them. Beyond that, you can wait until the demand diminishes after those who want the newest legendaries stat have gotten them. The new stable point might be higher than before, but it is likely to go down in a few months — by which time you’ll probably most of what you need unless you do naught but sit here and complain. :unamused:

    I suspect most people use a more expensive salvage kit for rares and so would not wish to salvage lower quality items with it. Of course, if your suggestion was implemented, one could still use a cheaper salvage kit to salvage all masterwork and lower first.

    This will only help you if you actually _sell_ them, you know. ;) If you’re saving them to make legendaries yourself, then the price on the TP matters little. If you just want to sit on your piles of gold, note that they may come down at some point. Nothing that I know of suggests that happening to mystic coins, but other items have changed dramatically in their worth following changes in the game. If I were you, I would sell at least some of them, and soon, as I think the price has only reached this height once before. Or you can be like Scrooge — oodles of wealth but deriving no real value from it. :tongue:

    So it’s a GW1 thing, figured. Whenever something feels out of place to me (who has only played GW2 so far), this is usually the case. This doesn’t bother me so much as it’s a side thing and I don’t need to understand it. What really bothered me was the whole Lazarus/Livia thing that was shoehorned into LWS3.

    I know, right? Or worse, silver! If that is how this glyph works, it would only be useful gathering copper and green wood, maybe a few other things.

     

     

  15. I feel like it would make more sense to have augury rock open for exploration etc. _after_ defeating the doppelganger. It would flow better for those just interested in doing the meta and make more sense I feel for the magic to be dispersed right away after the first fight and then those who want to read and explore could have plenty of time. :)

     

    Speaking of lore where does this “ascension” come from and how does it fit in with the rest of the game? Perhaps there’s some lore info I’ve missed elsewhere? Or is it just a local cult type of thing?

    That isn’t stopping me! I bought two griffon skins and will buy this one even though I don’t have either of those mounts unlocked yet. I know I WILL have them, and it just bumps the priority among all the goals I’m working toward! :lol:

    I really like what they did with the base skin, how the one dye channel completely alters it’s appearance. I look forward to see this new skin!
