Problem solved! Now let's try solve something harder like world hunger. You are speaking as they never said that they cant reset personal story before. They have said that. http://dulfy.net/2015/03/31/gw2-personal-story-restoration-update/ Edit If you dont want to read the link here it is. >Q: Why can’t I reset my character’s Personal Story progress? + A: The Personal Story was not designed to be replayable. Attempting to adjust a character’s story progress introduces a wide variety of bugs across various content and game systems. We investigated different solutions for partial and full story resets. In all cases, the changes led to unpredictable results in many different content types, including permanent blocking of story progress.
  2. If you have 1 character with max warclaw and 1 character with 1 point in warclaw I dont think spear ability works on the second one.

Adding the colour channels is one step, and this one they did only for new backpacks, that's true. At the same time however adding just mere _capability_ of posessing colour channels is also a step that had to be done, and required a rework. Basically, all the old backpacks also had to be reworked into the new model even if they weren't to be making full use of it. > > Think of it like migrating from one proprietary file format to another, that offers more options. Even if old files would not be enhanced with those new options, they would still need to be converted to the new format. Except in the case of data files we usually can automate the process. So your saying here is anet can have all backpacks with color channels they just refuse to do so? Instead of having old backpacks gen 1 new backpacks gen 2 like i understand it and the two cant mix? Maybe we should start demanding them flip the switch then since they are already in the system and can be dyed by your statement.
  4. If you look at your mini map the spirit weapons still show up with an ally dot so they are an ally and hence can get hit with auras.

They did second line in said post > ran steam in background https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Options >Streaming >Content Streaming — Sets the client's download streaming behavior. + On Demand asks the game to download content only when the game requires it. This setting is useful for those who have data caps to worry about. This setting may cause issues of models popping in. + Idle will stream in content while your connection is generally idle during gameplay. This is useful if you're going to be playing in the same map for some time, so that the general impact to your gameplay should be minimal. + Max will stream-in content as fast as it possibly can. This is most like leaving the launcher to fully patch before playing. The Streaming Client will prioritize items you interact with in your inventory, wardrobe, gem store, etc. When a piece of UI content is interacted with, if the content isn't already on disk, it will overlay the spinner to indicate that the content is being downloaded. Do note that if you interact with a bunch of inventory items it could degrade performance as those items are given much higher priority. Once downloaded it may take a few moments before the item displays on screen. Unsure what option they mean tho maybe idle?

Weapons not being dyeable is a consequence of a certain decision result made in the early stages of game design, that is unfortunately not easy to reverse now. Adding colours requires not only changes in the game code. They'd need to redo all the already existing weapon models to the new system. No, apparently it's not possible to just leave all existing weapons as they are, and only add colour channels to new ones - the system would be reapplied retroactively to all old weapons as well, even if their colour channels were to remain locked to original selection. > > They did it for backpacks, that's true, but there's far less backpacks than there are weapons. And it still took them years for this. > Ofcourse it wont just reapplied to the old ones as well just look at backpacks they made a break through can now dye new but that dident affect old backpacks at all. Im more inclined to the idea that its easier to recolour weapon and add them as rewards then create new rewards as an explanation.
  7. Well, is warclaw trained up to that point on the character your on? wvw skills aint unlocked account wide like masteries.
  8. Great can you edit topic ? If so please put in solved there.

  11. There is/was 1 developer that was working on it on their spare time unsure if they still do.
  12. Its rng if they spawn 2 full metas is but a drop in the bucket mate. Higher chance to spawn if you have higher level forts. Sadly their health scale poorly so if you dont camp the fort as you said you do (good) , you will miss it.
  13. Any update to antivirus that might block gw2 connection to the net?
  14. > @"Blood Red Arachnid.2493" said: > I know this is an old thread, but it bears mentioning: With a future expansion coming up, it is probably a good idea to build up a healthy cushion of karma. Unless Anet's design philosophy changed, then there's going to be a lot to buy once the new maps come out. It is probabely going to gated by another currency like pof trade contracts for example.
  15. You probabely are yes. Out of curiosity are you installing it? D : \games\gw2 The reason I ask is some folders are not good to install gw2 into like for example progam86 windows folder.
  16. > @"cyst.3108" said: > So you guys ask for our ideas, then silence for over months? lol We can only guess they havent made any/enough progress to speak to us again. Its not like it havent happened before with other features like for example wvw alliances.
  17. Do you use arcdps? If so try remove 3d39.dll from your gw2 bin64 folder and try the launcher again.

I only wanted to focus on one concern and that concern was story continuity. All the rest can be figured out later but if a race muddles the story it needs to be thrown out or reimagined. It's sad that no one can actually talk about a presented topic and stay focused on that topic. I'm not saying there aren't other issues, I'm saying those associated questions are for a different discussion. If Anet said or indicate that its I'm scope from a financial and technical standpoint then great ,talk about the story details and how to make that work. But talking about the story before that is really a moot discussion because it doesn't feel constructive not will it lead anywhere when you're only looking at one 2d side of a 5d object. > > It's why you're not getting the replies or discussion you want. Because as far as it's seen there is yet no reason for it. Topic title also didn't help. it is merged now so topic title is gone.
  19. From my knowlage only melee weapons can hit the roots try dagger. The jaracanda root also dont summon the attackable vines like ranger entangle so you cant attack anything there.

It did not since your class have no affect on the story what so ever. Later living story episodes have had engineer for example use their own flame thrower instead of the one you get in the story instance but it functions the same.

It is nothing even close to a healing build. Support yes but healing no. Another thing to keep in mind is that no build is going to be dps/healer and be able to kill things in one shot. Dps can but you give up the healing for that power and vice versa. > > > > The other thing to keep in mind is where you are using this build/class. Open world PvE, raid/fractal PvE, WvW and PvP. There are different builds for all playing platforms but remember a mixed build won’t work in anywhere but open world PvE and you have to realize that by having a mixed build you are basically making a survivability build. One in which you can kill things but it will take longer to do so. > > > > I am a main ranger but I have played all content and classes. The dragon hunter in my experience is strictly survival or dps. It really isn’t meant to be a healer. If you are looking for healing then look to druid, firebrand, tempest and scourge. If you want heals for guardian then I would go firebrand since there is major healing but do not expect it to be dps if you go the healing route. You can certainly make it a happy medium but remember it will take longer to kill things. > > > > ANet I highly doubt will change the dragon hunter to be what you want since it’s other elite specialization covers healing. While vanilla guardian covers boon support/dps and dragon hunter used to cover dps. I understand wanting everything in the esthetics of the build you like but when something else in that same class covers healing it is unlikely they will change it to make two elite specializations to cover the exact same use. > > > > The best thing for you to ask would be to free the weapons from elite specializations and allow vanilla, and elite specializations to use the elite specialization weapons. Then you could create a guardian with long bow or a firebrand with long bow and have it closer to the healing ranged attack you want. > > > > If you want help finding another class or finding a decent survival build or any build feel free to message me and I’ll give you some pointers and links to builds. > > > > All I ask is you don’t give up on the game and try some other classes or builds and to keep your mind open to the different possibilities even if they might not hit every note you want but might be able to come close. > > Look, all I want is my first to be a longbow that does DPS (that I can get with Warrior) and my second to be a staff for support. But I'm having trouble even attempting getting that to work, 'cause the bow is kinda advertised as damage and control but has neither. > > And people just want to keep saying "Go Soulbeast, go Soulbeast" or "You didn't get what you wanted, too bad, try something else and stop bringing up other games". Man, I just wanted to point out that the weapon is kinda trash on its own, has little synergy with the rest of the toolkit, and could use some buffs. I didn't come here to be told to do x or try x, I'm not looking for solutions here. And when I compare to other MMOs, it's cause I have a lot of history with them and even though it's trying to be different, GW2 falls into a lot of the same tropes as some MMOs. It's not 100% unique and made of absolute gold, it's definitely different - but it's not untouchable, kitten. > > I already uninstalled, you all win. Bye. Aww did you give away your stuff to someone before you left atleast? Im mean its rude to leave it collecting dust when others could use it. Hope you find something else to play were your happy. Edit And about the soulbeast. 1 it can support and heal as well with stance share 2 got longbow and merges with pet so do dps without pet just like you wanted.
  22. Well 1 you dont have to open them all they can just stay in your mail. 2 how big bags do you have, you can buy up to 20 slots for not to much money. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bag best in my oppinion is to take your level 80 and do some daily t1 fractals until you get the currency to buy 20 slots from fractal vendor.

So bringing up a new race that most players never asked for in the first place and calling it a "solution" to the desire to add a specific race, isn't going to work. > > > > > > There is this thread here with suggestions and discussion over the topic of races: > > > https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/21242/new-playable-races-study-choose-your-favorite/p1 > > > > You linked a thread that just offers races you might want. It has nothing to do with how that race can be implemented into the story without causing retcons. Do you have a race or method of story implementation that would cause say the Tengu or other requested race to be introduced without retcons or similar story confusion? > > The easiest solution is when they add a new race, to start their story from that point onward. So if a new race is added with the expansion, it will only take part in the expansion content and forget the previous living world seasons and of course the previous expansions. For example, a playable Tengu will start from the Dominion of Winds, then move on to Cantha. Same with Largos, they'd be in their water city and find a reason to move to Cantha. They will never fight Zhaitan, Mordremoth or Kralkatorik. > > And this isn't even a new idea, especially for Arenanet, it's how the story of Guild Wars Factions (and Nightfall) worked, players that started in Prophecies and players that started in Factions had a completely different story up to a certain point, interacting with different characters. Tyrians will have Dragon's Watch and be the champions of Aurene, Canthans will have a new story to become the champions of Kuunavang. In fact, disregarding a new race, I'd really love it if I could play a Canthan HUMAN (yes human), with a brand new Canthan exclusive storyline, that doesn't know anything about what's happening outside Cantha. > > No need for retcons, no need to mess the story. So 2 split stories bettwen new and old race in the expansion? Well if they wanna dubble the work fine with me. Edit Because I hope this suggestion is not that old players get no story at all in the new expansion.
