I am suppose to give "Chef's Tasting Platter" to Sous-Chef Siemur Oxbone to begin my Achievement for Gourmet Training. All this is according to Guild Wars 2 Wiki. But he won't take it. There is no option to give it to him. Why? Bug? You talk to him in your Home Instance and he will order the platter. _Then_ you go craft it and return to your Home Instance to hand it over. > I found him in his home instance, not mine, my character is human. I was able to start my Gourmet Training here in Norn territory. _That_ is super weird. I did the whole thing on three characters, one Charr and two Humans, and he was always to be found in _their_ respective Home Instance.
  2. So, what's the status quo? **The glyph is still not producing the respective bonus materials.**

  4. I've had occurences of placing tons of decoration in one certain area, then accidentally deleting one piece - and upon trying to put it back there was told that I couldn't, not even in close proximity. I ended up having to redo the whole area and, in the end, with two to three less pieces of decoration allowed than had previously been there. - Logic? The whole system seems flawed.

I agree that many of the newer achievements involve grinding, which isn't fun (unless the activity you have to grind is enjoyable). But I remember the last one that you had to do to unlock an emote required you to visit various icy mountain tops across Tyria (where you had to use the /shiver emote), and _that_ I think was a fun idea.

My main is a Guardian and I never have trouble getting into any group, be it as DPS or Healer. > If not, what would be other viable options for PvP and PvE in terms of supports ? Druid (Ranger Elite Specialization) or Heal Support Elementalist (not a fan of that one, though). Also, there are Heal Scourges (i.e., Necromancer), but they are mostly used for Barrier and their ability to teleport downed allies.

  8. > @"MarkVonPlay.7391" said: > The main reason I love GW 1 is, that it is easy to learn and easy to play. It's just relaxed. I use click to walk and the buttons 1-8- You don't need more. Because GW 2 doesent't have click to walk I dont have fun with it. (as you can read [here](https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/74260/suggestion-click-to-walk-run-like-in-guild-wars-1-why-im-not-playing-guild-wars-2)) But I love the hole gameplay and the scope the game gives me. I would never get used to "click to walk" again after being spoiled with GW2's movement engine. I wouldn't want that _ever again_. Apart from that, I liked GW1's story, narrative quality, and its skill system _much_ better than what we have in GW2. So, I would love a remake with the new engine. But that's not going to happen as they don't have the resources for that kind of thing.
  9. There have been threads like this before. Next time, perhaps use the search function? These are the races I'd love to play: * Dwarves * Tengu * Centaurs * Kodan
  10. Guardian. Best sustain, super high burst damage, very flexible and high mobility.
  11. > @"Donutdude.9582" said: > Such a shame. Typical Apple. It is why I despise them so. Dito. M$ is already bad enough with their monopolization of the market, but Apple is worse with their policies. Don't know why most designers believe they need to work on Apple computers - most of the software runs fine on other platforms.
  12. > @"Pepsi.3610" said: > Anyone is possibly able to give me any suggestion to properly play better with GW2? * Properly adjust the nVidia settings * Don't install GeForce Experience * Make sure you are using the correct GPU * Make sure all your system drivers are installed (and up-to-date)
  13. > @"Touchme.1097" said: > I can't describe you how disappointed I feel about your decision to stop supporting the MAC client Have you read the annoucement carefully? It's not ANet's fault. P.S. Macs were never meant for gaming anyway, and Apple has decided to make this very clear with their latest decisions. Go blame them, not the game developers, especially when it's not a big budget studio. > @"sunrun.4521" said: > Not sure which professionals you're talking about, but all the professionals I know use Macs at work. Apple is huge in the professional market. Web programmers, Android and iPhone game and app developers, graphics designers, video editors, sound engineers, photographers... all use Macs at their workplaces. And this is going to change for some departments now. P.S. I don't know a single web programmer or Android app developer who uses a Mac. It's only for graphics design, photography and the like (and you can do the same work just as well on a PC).

It's very easy to do, actually, when you know how. Stay on the right-handed side and slide down - you will take very little damage. > @"DakotaCoty.5721" said: > Step 1: remove them from the game. > > P.S. I hate jumping puzzles, doesn't matter the difficulty. :( And therefore others should have to be deprived of the fun? (No one is forcing you to do them.)
  15. > @"Hannelore.8153" said: > It depends on your connection latency. Latency is not responsible for those small/tight spaces that aren't behind textures but merely badly designed. There are a few you can get to these days with mounts, and there is no way out other than using a waypoint.
  16. > @"Vayne.8563" said: > Let me play devil's advocate for a second. If LS episodes have uneven quality what makes you think expansions won't be subject to the same forces? 1. The past has proven it (in GW1 _and_ GW2). 2. Logic. It is _one_ project that gets _one_ evaluation at the end. It is well-rounded quality-wise, regardless of the different people working on it. 3. Another big plus: you get the whole story in one piece.

Exactly. :)

  19. You are on US, right? Must be a local issue then. EU is still fine.
  20. > @"Galphar.3901" said: > For me the only things wrong with Guild Wars was No Open World and No Jumping or Swimming. I loved the Dual-Professions, the content was great and the PvP was the best. When A-Net announced GW2 I thought we would be getting a GW with updated graphics and an open world to explore while also continuing the story Dito. > So yes I would definitely go for a GW1 "remake" It's a beautiful dream... One that will never happen. (_sighs_)
  21. I'm currently on IP 18.194.226.176 (EU) and am having no latency issue whatsoever. My ping is 30.
  22. > @"Vayne.8563" said: > Living World and Festivals are predominantly what I play. I dabble in WvW and Fractals, but if you took away the living world, I wouldn't be around very long. I assure you I'm not alone. Same, though I prefer expansions over Living World episodes, for I am not a fan of the inconsistent quality and quantity of Living World releases. I'd rather see small Side Stories released in between expansions than LW episodes.
  23. I don't get why the packages weren't updated accordingly later on, when the new mounts were added to the game and the respective skins for them were added as well. I don't like any of them, but I still think that it would have been a logical step for those who want them and are willing to buy the whole pack.
  24. It has always been able to finish, especially two years ago. Keep an eye on LFG starting 30 minutes before the meta event begins, especially during weekends. Or start your own LFG squad.
  25. As you can see, opinions vary broadly. There is no right or wrong answer to your question. The easiest profession is always the one you have the most practice in playing.
