  1. I agree that the Runic set was a superior way of doing things.

Hmm I could have sworn my last gold was public. Guess I somehow got into private and didn’t even pay attention edit: ah yes we left and got reinvited to a private. Now I remember
  3. Does feel a little like they didn't really test this properly to see what issues would occur. First the lfg problems, now the looting problem. ~~I think I'll stick with doing gold on public~~ or just holding off completely until they rethink all this and add in some fixes and reworks

This is 10-player content against challenging bosses and are meant to be an easier stepping stone to raids. Where does it state that there will be a strike mission released with each and every chapter? That is what I am trying to find out. > > Neither I nor anyone has said they had to release a strike mission with every single chapter. I'm just disappointed they haven't released a proper strike since Whisper. IMHO Forging Steel and Cold War don't count as they are much more Meta event and instance dungeon based. (Meaning you don't fight a single raid boss as a 10 man group that needs heals, boons and a tank.) Strikes had so much potential, and now it just feels like yet another abandoned piece of content. I get that and yes they had potential, but seemed fairly clear that as stepping stone to raids, the number would be finite. Once Visions came out and the structure for daily rotation was in, it was clear that they had designed all that was coming. I'm not sure they have been the success they could have been, but I think the Saga has done all it intended to do. 6 is pretty decent number - we don't have to see one per release. More might come with the expansion. I wouldn't say it is abandoned just yet. Just a complete set for this Season

There's a certain irony in that episode began the Flame and Frost arc which so many speculated would bring Jormag and Primordus into the story in one big battle (and of course was utterly unrelated)
  7. > @"Daniel Handler.4816" said: > I wonder if them bringing up the Pale Tree again is a red herring. It's most likely because people keep complaining we never hear anything about the Pale Tree, so this was about the only way they could squeeze some info in
  8. I agree it needs adding and I am sure it will get it eventually (and probably in an upcoming random choice box) FYI the Skyscale has been around for 18 months, not 3 years

Do you have a quote somewhere? Strikes were always mean to bridge the gap to raids by having a series of boss instances which stepped gradually up to raid level, acclimatising skill level as they went. Something I assume Delita was referring to since the devs have been pretty open about that. In terms of what they designed, they kinda got it right. There is a clear gradient between them all. However, what the devs never said is that there would be a constant supply of them. I think they only ever intended to have half a dozen of them and by the time Cold War launched, they had the structure in place through the Visions release to rotate them as dailies in EOTN There's an argument a 7th would be one a day each week, but 6 allows them to rotate the set so that it isn't the same one on a set day every week (eg Monday not always being Kodan) I get people want more, but if they only ever intended to have 6, then Strikes are done for the Saga and 6 is a pretty balanced number given that a) the public versions have died a complete death b) there's already too much player based gating stunting their growth as content now

You can basically trade mats for 5 crystals in eotn vender and if you spend 5 you are eligible for tiered rewards. I did that on my alts > > Thanks. I'll have to check out what these rewards are. Anything like armor, weapons, cosmetics, account unlocks, etc? It wont be anything like that. It's almost certainly like the fractal/boss rush events where you get some extra materials or tokens. Anything like what you mention will be in vendors and should be permanent. They have said previously the chapter would release more content for it over time between release and the next chapter, so we are assuming more content potentially in 6 days.
  12. I find keybinding the easiest way. 1 button press for each mount. Easier than any menu system

XD Just wait til we get Season 5. episode 5, Chapter 2, Paragraph 3, Sub section 4
  14. I enjoyed the VA and some of the teaser bits of story for what is to come. The dialogue between Taimi and Braham was well done and it was nice to see the Asura have their own agenda with Primordus and not care as much about any threat of Jormag or the Frost Legion. That was a welcome bit of story lore consistency that has been lacking for years There was also a piece of music which felt very Canthan - to the point I almost feel like it slipped in by mistake or as a teaser to come. It's rare the sound team ever under deliver and they didn't this time To be honest, i don't necs think we should be creating threads purely to praise or bash the episode. Episodic feedback threads should contain both types of feedback to help improve content going forward, but for now I'll leave it at the above so as not to drag this off course with everything I felt they got wrong

I wonder what's this about a wekly progress now, since they told us that it would be 1 chapter every 2 months. It's still one chapter every 2 months, but they said every chapter would be built on between chapters as well. Which likely means more missions - potentially at the three locations Taimi shows us on the map like The Flame Citadel. They are adapting a similar approach to LS1 where they took an episode and 2 weeks later added to it. So whatever we get in a chapter, we will then get additions to it in stages after that I'm uncertain how I feel about it at this stage. It feels a little jarring with the Icebrood Saga which only just felt it was getting started and now we've moved onto an additional Dragon and a completely different structure. But, if they can improve on this initial and rather shaky implementation, it could work out. They need to sort the lfg issue out, add in some actual variety, mechanics and decent rewards

I went ranged during the adds phases. I almost got caught once, but as long as you keep your dodge energy up, you should be OK to avoid the concentric circles I'm struggling to find groups so far for CM to do multiple times for the other achievement though

At least 10-15mins faster now. Because of the lfg wanting squads and it being set up for parties, I haven't lucked into any cm's today to see if cm is better than yesterday

I just want to know how we will be able to replay the episode on other characters once the community event is over. The community event is almost certainly just the bonus rewards. the episode and content will be fully replayable - it's more a case of if people will actually want to. I assume there will be more things to buy as time progresses to incentivise

  21. It's an interesting idea and I can see the reasoning behind it. I do think it might be stacking too much onto Warrior shield which feels pretty good already with interrupts, stun and reflect already a strong defensive option. Guardian shield needs something for sure. Not sure if taunt is thematically correct for it, although again it's an interesting enough proposal

Both the faction vendors in EOTN sell it for 50g and 245k Karma > @"lare.5129" said: > to hard cm .. probably they calculate something wrong.50kp requirement cool toxic group left 75% for last boss .. I did Gendarren yesterday with a party of 5 using my spellbreaker in soldiers gear. If my naff dps/high cc can get through it, even if the 4 others were likely better dps than me, then it's not anywhere near raid level. I'm not defending the overpowered health pool (before the patch - I haven't tried yest as I've seen no groups yet), but I disagree that we are talking raid level here.

I wonder if that is a hint to another model change > > DIdn't he say either Primodus was able to purge Zhaitan and Mordy's magic or accommodate it? I personally thing the purging theory is more sound. The exact quote is; _"Primordus' slumber may have allowed it time to process the foreign magic - or alter itself to accomodate it. We don't really know at this point"_ So could be converted or purged, but purged does seem less likely based on the wording. And it could mean a model change. If it's the latter, maybe he's fixed his underbite...
  24. There’s no such thing as best gear. It’s whatever stats work best with the build (skills/traits) you use which is the more important thing to work on. You wouldn’t need anything beyond exotic level though

OK, I'll have another look at that tomorrow and see
